I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

On top of that, I wasn't even asked about the service I selected (Color Package 4, the highest package) to ensure everything was set up correctly. To make matters worse, while I was initially able to book a later time online, I was then asked to come earlier. This was fine with me, and I was told the technician would stay, and we wouldn't finish until 11 PM. By this point, my hair (or myself) hadn't even been seen yet. I understand that prices can change, but this situation made it hard to enjoy the experience, especially as a busy mom who rarely has time to pamper herself. Additionally, while the website recommends a consultation, the call felt more like reading the rules on the site rather than a personalized conversation, which I did take the time to read as it has taken me some time to try and find a new salon that is closer to my home. Better communication and a more thoughtful approach would have gone a long way. Overall, I hope the business can improve its customer service and communication so clients feel valued before they even arrive.

Appointments I make 3-6 months in advance. They request I change my appointment to accommodate other customers. I generally agree to change my appointment. Today I called to change tomorrow's appointment last minute because I was in the ER Sunday and my doctor called to see me tomorrow at 8am. My appointment was at 9am. They wouldn't even offer to give me 15min grace period which is pretty standard. I was charged the cancellation fee. I would be fine with this policy if I did not have to accommodated them by changing my appointments as often as I have over the 3-4 years I have been a customer at LMG. If they require customers to cancel appointments more than 24hrs in advance then they must do the same for customers. If they move customers around to fit it more appointments often then they should allow a one-time courtesy of allowing the customer to change the day before their appointment. I would recommend trying a salon which offers better customer service to long time customers before booking at LMG.

I went to another location last month, day before my birthday. My experience was not the best from start to finish. I hung in trying to be understanding of being someone's last appointment and they were exhausted and or inexperienced when left alone with multiple clients. Whatever the case, I was left with dark, large dye marks 2 inches from hairline on my forehead and temple, had dye marks on both ears, cheeks, and back of neck. I was told nothing could be done and there was no product there available to try to remove stains left by colorist who had already left. I went home and had to wash face/hair after paying for my blow out. I considered canceling the membership I just signed up for because now I was leaving on a birthday trip not like I payed to look for the celebration.
