A very good experience and excellent customer service…read more The location is in the St. Louis Galleria Mall on the second floor. Signage is excellent. When my son was looking for a new pair of glasses, he started here. He already had his prescription and wanted to look over frames. They have a wide selection and was really surprised how good it actually was. Service really stood out to me on the time the employee spent with my son looking at different frames. Ultimately, he decided to purchase elsewhere, but it was an extremely good experience service wise. The price point I felt was affordable considering these days optometry services have skyrocketed. Who knows in the future with my son living in St. Louis if he may return, but there was nothing negative whatsoever about our visit. He was treated very well and I would recommend.

This LensCrafters is not what it use to be. I feel bad that I have to take a star away from them,…read morebut the customer service has declined on my last visit. Prior visits the sales associates were hustling and bustling helping you find the perfect frame. Now, they just sit at their desk or stand around and talk to each other. After I made my selection, all by myself, her attitude was condescending as she checked me out. Don't talk down to your customer, we're why you have a job and are there working. I also saw a difference in the quality of frames that were on display. I know Luxottica owns LensCrafters and many of the brands they offer in the store. So it was disappointing to see a drop in the product quality. When my glasses were ready and I came in to pick them up, the service wasn't much better. They handed them to me and asked if I could see clearly. I was so tempted to say, "Yes, I can see I will not be coming back here for future frames." Seriously, they truly did deserve a 2 Star rating, but I like Antoine Eye Care that is attached to the store. That is why I only dropped them to a 3 Star rating. In the future, I get my eyes checked at Antoine and take my prescription somewhere else.

I went in for a contact lens exam and was completely upfront about my history and I had worn lenses…read morelonger than recommended in the past due to financial constraints. I made it equally clear that my situation has changed and I was ready to purchase new lenses and follow proper care moving forward. Instead of working with me, the doctor made an assumption about my future behavior and refused to fit me for contacts or provide trial lenses at all. There was no effort to discuss options, no attempt to find a safe path forward, just a blanket refusal based on a past circumstance I had already addressed. The outcome is exactly what any responsible provider should want to avoid: I left without updated lenses and am still using old ones. Being honest about a prior hardship resulted in being denied care, which is both dismissive and counterproductive to patient health. I would strongly caution others about this experience. I could not recommend this doctor under any circumstances!

Beware of Bait-and-Switch Sales Tactics at This Location…read more THE SALE: We specifically requested premium Crizal HR coatings and XTRActive Polarized Transitions lenses that would darken while driving. THE "WAIT 3 MONTHS" TRAP: When the lenses didn't darken in the car, staff told us to give them three months because they would get darker over time. We followed their advice, which pushed us past the 30-day window. THE REVEAL: Within two months, the lenses were also severely scratched. When we later reviewed the order with LensCrafters, we discovered we had received neither the Crizal HR coating nor the XTRActive Polarized Transitions lenses we specifically requested and were told we were getting. THE BLAME: Management then told us we were past the 30-day return window, wanted about $1,400 for replacement lenses, and said we should have caught the abbreviated product descriptions on the receipt. You shouldn't need an optometry degree to decode a receipt and make sure the salesperson ordered what was requested and promised. This is about trust, and LensCrafters completely lost ours.

Long story short after 2 separate visits and given a prescription which was 100% wrong. My daughter could see even less wearing the glasses. We were told to take her somewhere else. It's like they just wanted to bill our insurance twice. Because now that I'm asking insurance for another evaluation LensCrafters doesn't respond to the first 2 letters and with just a couple days left of their window to respond/ dispute they request to be sent over the paper work again. Pushing my daughter reevaluation out longer than the normal 30 day period. They made the mistake. They told us to go somewhere else. Now they won't even submit the documents needed so she can see a different Dr.

I called with a simple question regarding whether their office requires contact lens trials for patients who have previously worn contacts, and each response I received felt increasingly dismissive and condescending rather than helpful. Professionalism and basic courtesy matter, especially in healthcare-related settings, and this experience fell far below expectations.

Every time I've come in, I've been greeted warmly, helped quickly, and treated with genuine kindness. Cameron (sorry if I'm misspelling your name!) at the front desk (the one with the moon and sun necklace and curly brown hair) was so funny and welcoming! Josh, the store manager, was especially wonderful. I had called about a week before my appointment because, unfortunately, it somehow wasn't on the schedule. Glitches happen! I rescheduled, and when I came in for my appointment, he remembered me by name from that phone call. Dr. Wilson was also incredibly kind and personable. Our conversation never felt forced, and it was obvious how passionate she is about her career. Every interaction I had with the staff felt genuine, and as someone with severe social anxiety, I felt completely comfortable talking with all of them. If you're looking for eye care in a welcoming environment with genuinely wonderful people, I highly recommend Target Optical at Hampton Village. Five stars, Ten out of ten, 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Well, that's not quite true... and these glasses had a peculiar fit--they stuck out too far from my face as the nose pads seemed unusually long. They also asked if I wanted to upgrade the nose pads to better silicone, too. All in all, it cost a mere $11 and less than 15 minutes of my time!
