My entire experience with Clarkson Eyecare was awful. I called to make an appointment and was told they were busy and the lady I spoke with took my name and phone number and would call me back. It was early afternoon so I figured she would call back that afternoon. 2 days later, no callback so I called again and was able to make an appt.
I went to my appointment, the Dr. I personally did not care for but I had my exam and was ready to order glasses.
While looking as frames I hear the ladies working comment they couldn't help another patient because they were waiting on me to pick out glasses, the tone made me feel like I was a bother so I checked out. The entire checkout process was really uncomfortable. There was patient information being discussed at the counter between the lady waiting on me and another worker. This is not acceptable and is really poor service. She was so busy with other things I really felt like I was an inconvenience now! I got my prescription printed out and left.
My hubby had an appointment the following day, his went great! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We went back a few days later together to pick out glasses. This is where I learned I needed bifocals! The Dr. did not mention this at all so I was shocked! I showed them the prescription I was provided at my appointment and was told they forgot to afd the bifocal prescription. I ordered my glasses and excitedly waited for them to come in. A week went by and I got the call they were in. I went to pick them up and was told I needed an appointment to have them adjusted if needed. I left without even trying them trying them on as I can adjust and they clearly didn't want to help me as again I felt like I was a bother and interrupting.
I get home and try them on. New glasses, you should be able to see. The bifocal portion was extremely blurry and I couldn't see unless I held a piece of paper 6 inches from my face. They did tell me there would be and adjustment period for my eyes. So I gave it a day and then called the office. I couldn't have glasses that gave me a migraine. I had to argue with the lady on the phone to get an appointment! She was very rude. I had to come back and have the glasses looked at with the Dr. Ok fine.
When the prescription was reviewed it was not my prescription. Turns out I don't need bifocals, let alone the super strong ones that would be suitable for an elderly person. They blamed the lab and placed a rush replacement. I was told 10-14 days. I was out of town at the end of this time frame so I called at three weeks. No they had not came in and was told they will call. I received a call the following day and was told the lab made an error so they were going to put a rush on it. Two weeks later I picked up my glasses. The perscription is good but the lenses have gaps where they meet the frame. It is minor but its still poor quality for spending $350 after insurance. My hubby has tried to convince me to call again but I do not want to be treated rudely again. I should have just went to CVS and picked up a pair of readers for 5 bucks and saved myself the hassle and unprofessionalism. I also never received an apology through any of this. I'm glad my hubby had a completely different experience but they've lost 2 patients. read more
