When I called, Brittany was very helpful and quickly scheduled a technician named Nico. He arrived within two hours, right on time. Nico was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to properly diagnose the issue. He ran a camera down the drain and found a heavy sludge buildup that was preventing the pipe from draining correctly. He recommended hydro jetting to clear the line. After completing the service, he showed me the before and after camera footage. The difference was huge and the line looked significantly cleaner. My sink is now draining perfectly. There is no exterior clean out access so he went on the roof to run the camera down the vent pipe first . Snaking could possibly dislodge the clog but if it didn't I would still have to pay the same amount which I thought was somewhat unfair. The other option was to hi pressure water jet the pipe through the bathtub. I chose the jetting at a higher cost but more chances of clearing the obstruction and and a better long term cleanup of the pipe. I would recommend this plumber. I hate to spend money with plumbers but if necessary I'd recommend a long term fix than a short term repair.

He mentioned that hydro jetting will probably be the next step within the next few months or before the end of the year, which honestly made sense. I'm pretty sure the previous owners poured grease down the drain over the years and didn't maintain the house very well. He also explained that pipe replacement may eventually be needed down the line, which I actually appreciated because it gives us time to prepare and start saving for that process. Another thing I found really helpful was his suggestion to purchase extra flooring planks now while they're still available, since matching flooring years later can be difficult if pipes ever need to be accessed under the floor.
