I was offered to try another style very similar by loake but declined as i know what i want out of the boot. The staff were so full of appologies for not being able to help , which made me feel that i had let them down by not giving them a sale . To confuse matters, there's also steps and stairs taking you here, there and everywhere! I much prefer Bentalls but I can say, Fenwicks does have a range of good name concession stands (which follow with the price tag), a make-up floor, some cute bits and pieces of stationary and randomly, some food joints which includes a sushi joint that kind of smells up the place. The layout is pretty confusing so I haven't ventured in too many times. There's wifi in here but you have to sign-up and it takes a while to be connected... The Christmas window this past year was pretty cool though (not sure if it was worth the queues or the aggressive shoving!) The building front from Northumberland street is a looker, if nothing else, Fenwicks can offer a visually pleasing building to admire.

Although it only occupies a small space,it still offers a great selection of all types of shoes but particularly funky trainers from all the leading brands. What sets this store apart from other shoe shops is the fabulous customer service! Without being pushy staff were happy to approach me to offer help but equally allowed me to browse in my own time. All staff were so friendly and are a credit to the store. Upon purchasing a pair of trainers I didn't have to leave my seat as they use portable card readers and I was given the additional option of an e-receipt so they are certainly keeping up to date with technology! Although relatively expensive I will definitely go back.

The fitting is expert and checked by a senior member of staff as well as the original assistant and they offer a range of shoe makes, not just Clarks but Stride-Rite, Lelli Kelly, Geox, Cica, Crocs, Ecco and Skechers to name but a few. It's not a cheap shop but the quality and range of both child and adult footwear is good and the customer service excellent.
