A bargain shoe shop in the centre of town and close to car parking at Mea House and Eldon Square,…read moreand bus and Metro Links into the city. It is quite a small store with all the shoes in the range laid out on the shelves for trying on and therefore at busy periods it can get very crowded with people vying for space to try on shoes and get past down the aisles. Nevertheless the value is very good and shoes are at budget prices. Most of the shoes tend to verge towards high fashion and a more youthful market, but there are also some items for older shoppers. They sell a good range comprising from boots to sandals. They also sell a small selection of mens footwear and childrens shoes also. The childrens range is exceptionally good value and very popular with young girls as they are fashionable shoes.

My grandma loves them. Where they do really shine though is the kids shoes. All the fitters are professionally trained, and they make sure that the pair of shoes are the right fit, in terms of length, breadth and depth for growing feet. Children's shoes are quite expensive, but very durable and good quality, and worth it when you think of the benefits well fitting shoes will have.

The shop itself is in a pedestrianised area. It is quite a small store but has a good range of Dune shoes. Dune shoes are of excellent quality and style and they have a good choice of shoes, sandals and boots depending on the season. There are some classic styles, although the range tends to focus on more fashionable lines. The selection of shoes tends to be for a younger professional crowd although there are some items there for an older shopper. Prices are quite high, although that would be expected from this range.

The service is exceptional and can not be knocked in any way. A big shop for a local run place. A little bit hard to browse sometimes but the staff are very helpful without been pushy. There good for general day to day shoes prob not go down the red carpet in them or out on the town to be more realistic. If you want a god priced pair of average shoes try here, situated on the west road it does have parking outside and is just over the road from the fox and hounds bar.

As far as i am concerned this shop is for the person who wants quality and honest professional advise and fitting, give this shop a look in, i would rather give my money to a business like this than a major retail outlet, don't let our standards sink like the rest of the world 10/10 stil, having trouble finding pair even on net!(not good)

Although it only occupies a small space,it still offers a great selection of all types of shoes but particularly funky trainers from all the leading brands. What sets this store apart from other shoe shops is the fabulous customer service! Without being pushy staff were happy to approach me to offer help but equally allowed me to browse in my own time. All staff were so friendly and are a credit to the store. Upon purchasing a pair of trainers I didn't have to leave my seat as they use portable card readers and I was given the additional option of an e-receipt so they are certainly keeping up to date with technology! Although relatively expensive I will definitely go back.

The quality and styles are very nice too! I believe they also cater for men who have big feet too. In the Newcastle branch they do not have the tall/small shoes in store (in stock), however, they are happy to order in any shoes so you can try them instore before committing yourself to buying them. The assistants are always friendly though I do find it a little annoying when they approach you several times when you are just browsing. Still I guess they are trained to do this so it's not their fault. They also have a website where you can order items but there is a set postage charge, which is £3.50. I have ordered from there too and the service has also been good but if the shoes are unsuitable, you have to pay the return postage and they do not refund the £3.50 delivery charge. I have often taken shoes ordered on the Barratts website back to the store in Newcastle, and they have processed my refund and saved me return postage :D
