They suggested for the price it would cost to make it perfect, given the year of the board (2017), I'd be better off getting a new board and pocketing the difference. I appreciated how up front they were and headed their advice! I'll be running the board through it's final paces this season and getting a new one come spring. When we've vacationed in the Catskills throughout the seasons and have accidentally forgotten to pack either my shorts, winter gloves, rain boots or anything else, Kenco, slightly off Rt 28 in Kingston, has been the place to come to for those. Kenco is a privately-owned and independent company staying true to their number one priority-provide customers with the highest quality products- that can handle any weather condition up here in the Catskills. The store is massive with women's clothing on one side, men's on another- then their other departments follow. And yes, prices are steep- but these folks carefully select their products and only want to sell reliable gear/clothing that will last for years to come. My husband especially loves their 100% thick cotton, long sleeve pull-on shirts he uses when it's frigid- and he's had them for a while now and still look good as when I first purchased them. Now that we own a home in the Catskills, this is where we come for clothes that are more neutral- with an almost minimalist feel. Living in NYC, I do have to make the trek upstate for my outdoor activities. I hike and camp in the Hudson highlands and now kayaking will be added to the list as a regular activities. Mountain Tops makes it too easy! My first experience with them was last year. My boyfriend and I booked a kayaking tour to Bannerman's Island, which included an on-island tour. Neither of us had ever kayaked, but after a quick tutorial we were on our way, with their guides nearby, of course. The guides are great (well, they were great that day) and they have comparable prices. Now that we know what to do, we go straight to the waterfront and rent out kayaks for the day so that we could paddle the river and pull up on random little shores to explore. It's an affordable and easily accessible activity. Tours need to be booked online or at the actual store location on Main Street. Kayak rentals can be done at the waterfront, depending on availability. And yes, you can use your card at the waterfront! I do wish they had later hours. Imagine kayaking in a sunset...oh!

They require a lift ticket even if a kid only does lessons. Fine. What's not fine is they never told us about the less expensive bunny-hill-only ticket (about $31). Instead, about 30 kids in our group bought the full-mountain ticket (about $60) even though many only used the bunny hill, or didn't ski beyond lessons. When you're coordinating a kid-heavy group, that omission doesn't feel accidental. It feels like they kept quiet so we'd pay more. Not nice at all. They need to do better.

We took a couple more runs and called it a day. Personally not a place I would come by myself. Terrain is not at my difficulty, and for the same drive I could be at bigger mountains.
