Had a fantastic weekend for the adult summer camp. We came to the camp for a birthday celebration, it was easy to book under the group name. Our cabins were next to each other. There was so many activities for everyone to complete, such as the pine climb, yoga, the pub hike, bloody Mary Bingo, the sky cycle, zip line, archery, and water skiing. All the staff members was very helpful and personable. I love this idea of revisiting summer camp while enjoying some drinks and partying. There are different themes for the camps and they also offer different types of camps like family camps. I would highly recommend getting the drink package. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Visited Club Getaway for a bachelorette party and it was a great time! There are tons of activities for people of all different levels. We did zip lining, canoeing, tie dying shirts, pizza making class, hiking, archery, trampoline activity and a bunch more! The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful. This is an adult camp for exactly what sounds like adults. This is my third time coming back. I also did the family weekend a couple of years ago with my family. I really enjoy going there. I love being able to swim in the lake, running in the open fields and of course the bars that they have all the different activities from zip lining to playing on the inflatables to slip and slide kickball, the list goes on. I know y'all can't do anything about the skunk situation but if we can have a little talk with them, maybe they won't come around anymore..lol. I saw two and all my years of living. That's the first time I've ever laid eyes on one. The only thing I'd love are more kid games that Genx would play, ie kickball, musical chair, red light/green light. Disney is NOT the happiest place on Earth - that would be Club Getaway in Kent, Connecticut. This was my TENTH trip here, and each time I go, I don't want to leave. This is where adults can become kids for the weekend and do all of the fun activities you miss from your childhood - kickball, lake swimming, Color War, water balloon toss, archery, volleyball, climbing, boating, campfires with s'mores and sing-alongs, arts and crafts, and so much more to do! Not enough for your inner child, and need to feed your outer adult? Throw in treetop zip-lining, water skiing, an aerial adventure course suspended 50 feet above the forest floor, sky-cycling ABOVE the trees on a harness tightrope, water skiing, mixology classes, pickleball, a "pub hike" through the woods to various keg stations where everyone tells dirty jokes and sings dirty songs, lakeside happy hours, Boozy Bingo, Costume Parties, and hundreds of fellow adults looking to unplug and relax from the strains of adulthood, even if for just 48 hours. If that is not enough, here is where Club Getaway GENUINELY excels and shines above everywhere else you can go for the weekend: This place has the most amazing, caring, kind-hearted, and engaged staff. Many of the staffers are diverse internationals from two dozen countries and they are here to help you try new things, keep everything safe, and ensure all of your needs are exceeded. There is an amazing crew of social leaders (shoutouts to Hunter, Bluto, and Weekend Ken!) who help organize the activities and "Weekend "Counselors", and motivate you to get out there and try as many new experiences as you can. Food at Club Getaway is way better than you think it is going to be. Upon arrival on Fridays, there is a welcome Happy Hour with finger foods and light bites, followed by family style dinner with salad and rolls, two proteins, starch and vegetables, and dessert. Breakfast in the morning is a buffet with omelettes/pancakes/waffles made to order, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, home fries, oatmeal, pastries, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Lunch is an EVEN BIGGER buffet with literally 50 different food options (including chocolate bread, and yes, you need to eat it - picture a loaf of bread stuffed with warm cake frosting). Saturdays also include a lakeside Happy Hour with a BBQ, and Sundays also include a sundae bar between breakfast and lunch, just because. Nice to see they are constantly adding activities to the rotation as well as different themed parties so the weekends aren' t the same and previous visitors will be able to enjoy their return stays. I especially enjoyed the ice cream sundae party this time around, as well as the lakeside Nauti Nacho event which had a surprise, Below Deck's own Alex P. Taylor! I don't know how Club Getaway is able to employ such extraordinarily talented staff. If they're not monitoring the Jumbo Trampoline and Ropes courses, they are bartending, life guards or tattoo artists! This is an amazing facility, and as a 61 year old, not in great shape person, I really enjoyed myself. The ropes course kicked my butt, and I wasn't able to climb up to jump the bungee...but this is the best weekend I have enjoyed since attending sleepaway camp in the 1970s! read more

While the location can be considered a bit remote, it is still convenient for the MA, CT, and eastern NY (and NYC) tri-state region, and is worth the drive. There are some who even fly in from out of state. As they advertise, come prepared to unleash your inner "kid"! As an adult though, remember, that "kid" may find their body not as willing ! However, come to have fun and not complain and you will have a rewarding time! The service is top notch, from the food, servers, counselors, and management, all will make your stay enjoyable (if you let them)! Also, if you dabble in Vexillology, it is fun to figure out where some of the staff is from. Firstly i'd like to say this establishment is very misinformed, every staff member thought and said a different thing. They did not let us go to our rooms when we got there, we were escorted straight into the woods to a ropes course without even getting time to change first. We were told that we would have and do many things that we never got to have or do. This place is strictly meant for kids and that fact should be made more aware by the company. Not to mention this place looks nothing like it looks online, everything online is very much so glorified compared to what it actually is in person. Also there are no towels or wash-clothes provided so if you do unfortunately decide to come here don't forget that! I visited Club Getaway during their Fall Finale, this past weekend and I had a blast. I was part of a group celebrating a birthday party and they were excellent at accomodating us. Check in took a while because the parking lot is a little bit of a walk from the main buildings. So if you drive up, you'll have to disembark from your car and then wait for their shuttles, which I was fine with. To my [pleasant] surprise they were also requiring negative Covid Antigen Tests. My only gripe here was the fact that the check in table was inside of a main lodge while happy hour was happening and it wasn't apparently clear where to go after getting off of the shuttle. I know they did that because of the sheer volume of people that were checking in at the same time but maybe they could've transitioned to the information booth after a period of time? The rooms were basic cabins consistent with what I was expecting on camp grounds and they were clean. They provided towels but no basic toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner & soap/body wash) so bringing your own was a prerequisite. Beware of the heating and A/C elements during the Fall. They're pretty powerful. Light adjusements were best. As far as food, I was pretty satisfied. Actually, I probably ate too much. Their lunch buffet was the best! Make sure to have the jalapeno and white chocolate breads. Breakfast was a full spread too. Dinner offered multiple protein options nightly. My only "ding" on the food came here as the salmon I tried had a questionable texture/temperature (as far as I know, no one got sick). As far as activities, they were STELLAR, which is no surprise. You can go absolutely ham or take it easy. Some improvements can be made in some of the equipment though (e.g. The feathers were missing on some of the arrows during archery leading to errant flight). For their Halloween Themed night, the crew went over the top with an incredible Haunted trail culminating in a fantastic DJ'd party in their boathouse! The initial Halloween night operation could be tweaked though. We had an anticlimactic live music performance in the Main lodge that went on for a while. The shuttling to the Haunted trail should have began a little earlier during that performance and I would suggest two shuttles to move things along a little bit. There was a LOT of milling and waiting that tired some people out. Otherwise, the Halloween party was epic. Music was great but some of the more mixed cultural music didn't get played until half of the crowd had already left for the night. My suggestion here is to play the same Pop/Top 40/EDM in the begining. Then mix in the Reggaeton/AfroBeats/Hip-Hop/Musica Urbana midset. Finally finish with slower Pop/Top 40/Old School Hip-Hop etc. Bottom line overall: If you have the chance, you should definitely go! The staff is super friendly and very accomodating. You'll definitely have a Great time! Special Mentions: Maggie: Appalachian Trail Hike Leader - She was very pleasant and good at explaining things along the way. James: Cocktail Mixology Instructor - Very knowledgable and well spoken on the subject. He was an absolute gentleman! Lisa: Tailgate Staff - The sweetest person and super athletic. Gary: Groups/Event Coordinator - Excellent work accomodating our group of 18 people. There was also a Hispanic/Latina young lady with Black curly hair who assisted me with check in, at the bar buring the day by the boathouse and room checkout on the last day. I recently embarked on a trip with my camp and would like to commend the staff for their exceptional hospitality, particularly Quintin and Bluto. They were exceedingly helpful and kind throughout our stay. However, I must address some concerns regarding the cabins. Unfortunately, they did not meet expectations. The mattresses were stained, the air conditioning was ineffective, and there were issues with mold in the shower area despite efforts to maintain cleanliness with the shower curtain. Additionally, four out of the six beds provided were uncomfortable and below standard, leading to an extremely restless night's sleep. On a positive note I thought that the food was very good. The options ranged from Italian to Mexican. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Lack of leadership, overcrowded water park, filthy/unsafe cabins, give way to a great experience outdoors for kids and parents. It has great potential but the uncleanliness and safety really makes you not want to ever go back. Kids had an amazing time with all the activities and making friends. The staff and crew members were great, especially the counselors that took care of the kids all week, while the parents got to go and participate in their own outdoor activities. Set in the outskirts of the Berkshires on a small marshy pond across from a railroad track that replaces a camp revelry with a blasting train whistle at 7:05 AM every morning. We arrived excited to spend the week "glamping" it up in an all expenses paid family vacation. As we drove up we saw about four large charter busses bringing hundreds of kids to the same camp that we were going to as a family. We were expecting that the week was exclusively meant for family camp and not an over abundance of kids and teenagers. We later found out it was because they wanted to make up for last year's dismal attendance. We should have been at the very least been informed that the camp was going to be shared. We bought the family drink package which you can't use for candy or t-shirts (you don't get any of the money back at the end so be careful with what package you purchase, hopefully the unspent money goes directly to the staff as extra tips). They also forgot to give us a table assignment so they hand wrote a name card without the correct number of people. Opening the cabin doors, our daughter said we should check the room like they do on the "Hotel Impossible" show. All it took was was pulling off the raggedy and filthy comforter to reveal our first red flag of many more to come. There was a blood stain on the pillow case and the mattresses are worn out and stained lumpy messes. The towels they provide are stained, worn, and hairy. The floor was disgusting and probably hasn't been swept since the beginning of the season ( not a broom in sight). Bathroom floor joists were like a trampoline and there is no hot water in the shower and a tissue paper laden plunger coated in fecal matter was a required tool to make the toilet work. The sink either had a trickle of hot water or over the sink blasting cold water that would go all over the floor if not careful. Definitely not a comfortable room with lumpy beds that made an air mattress feel like heaven. I ended up having o use my sweatshirt to cover the ratty pillows. Luckily all we found was a beer bottle cap and a rusty screw from the last tenants unlike one family who found something much worse... The water area is a pond surrounded by a swampy marsh that is filled with fish that bite and mussels that cut open feet. If you want to go paddle boarding or kayak, you have to stay to the edges because the area has to be shared with the motorboat that takes people out to tube or waterski. Lifeguards are constantly blowing their whistles to get people to stay out of the way. They have a small water course with a jump launcher and climbing slide, but with all the other camps that are sharing the water course and crowd around the launcher it's hard to regulate and we even witnessed a toddler almost drown and the lifeguard just sat in her chair the whole time. They did have a group orientation where instead of having an ice breaking social activity to meet the other families or even a tour of the grounds, they have a man/clown named Bluto dressed in a Boy Scout uniform introduce staff members and go over the rules. He ended up being the MC for the week and was not a very approachable individual who was allowed to drink alcohol through the day. It really is disheartening that we spent so much money to be pampered and create an amazing experience for our kids only to have to sleep in filthy beds. Food is mediocre, greasy, and served buffet style during the day and there is a cocktail hour before dinner that is served family style but they have an early buffet dinner for the kids with chickn' nugs and pasta. The morning of checkout, people at breakfast were greeted to the scents of the Septic truck clearing the tanks as they ate. Club Getaway is great outdoor experience but lacks the basics of providing a safe and clean inviting home for the week. read more

I was super excited to experience this with my family. So earlier this year I checked out their COVID protocols (covid testing required if not vaccinated) and booked family week (with some extended family/friends as well). we had the perfect cabin (if you have kids and you want to be able to see them in the lake from your cabin-get cabin Lakeview19) , cabin had a large porch, shade, and a tree right outside that we were able to sit our chairs under and watch the kids on the lake. CABINS- sleeping area was very clean, great lighting, the beds are adequate but the bathroom was horrendous, full of spiders, ants, and bugs-spider webs were in every corner of the bathroom including the shower, but not the sleeping area. Cabin is very simple, however many people you have is how many beds (twin size beds only) you will have in the room, air conditioning has 2 levels OFF and Freezing cold lol. There is no room to hang up clothes or place anywhere-you are basically living out of your suitcase-this was ok with us. FOOD- you are sat family style for every meal and this remains your seating assignment for the duration of your stay at all meals - well because we came as a group of 11 we had our own XL picnic table. This is where it gets questionable - there were roughly 50 families there for the week - out of all of these families only 3 of them were black families, they sat all 3 black families together and in the very back of the outdoor tent. I approached staff about this/they laughed it off but when they saw how serious I was, they then called over the owner David. David was very nice and accommodating throughout the trip but he also laughed it off and said to me "Oh I thought you were here as one big family reunion" . While I was ok with this reply, other family members were not. This being said, the other 2 black families sitting alongside us were so nice and friendly and we all got along well. Back to the food - It was fantastic and my favorite part - breakfast was buffet and was the same daily (powdered eggs, omelette station, pork bacon, pork sausage, oatmeal, cold cereal, etc-will insert pictures of all, lunch also buffet and varied daily between burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, pasta, etc, and then there was dinner-dinner was not buffet but rather served family style, once you sat down a server would bring plates of meats (2-3 choices) to your table, each plate had 4 servings of meat/seafood on it. Well the problem was we had 11 people and they kept bringing plates of 4 servings of each meat-we kept having to tell them you have to bring 3 plates of each meat/seafood to the table so everyone could have. Meat/Seafood ranged from baked chicken, fried, chicken, tilapia, salmon, steak, etc and the sides were served family style on one big platter consisting always of a vegetable and starch. Best part about dinner - wine is included. Everyday at roughly 4pm at the boathouse bar there was a snack always served which was always an ice pop and some kind of hot snack (pig in a blanket, warm pretzels, chicken dumplings, etc). ALCOHOL- it is outlined everywhere that you cannot bring your own alcohol, (NO ONE CHECKS YOUR BAGS) and I will leave it at that. This being said their bar is horrendous, they have one bar in the boat house which if your cabin is not in Lakeview - it is a trek for you to get to it. First day, I ask for amaretto sour- bartender has no idea what that is-we find amaretto and sour mix and then she proceeds to ask me how much of each do I put in the glass. The next day the bar manager (Ashleigh) is there and I tell her about my experience and she gives me some sob story about that not being a typical drink they make. I ask her what is most popular and she tells me a Blue Getaway - this is when I noticed that every drink they make they measure using a one shot measurer and thats all the alcohol you get - we immediately knew that we got sold a drink package that was not worth the price -drinks are now on a point system including soda for the kids. ACTIVITES- they surely do not fail here - kayaks, canoes, boat rides, jet skis, plenty of lake blow up/bouncy things, archery, trampoline, zipline, the beast, flying swing, gaga ball pit, plus all kinds of other planned games-kickball, olympic races, etc. The only place I can see where they fail with the activities is that during our stay there were many camps also scheduled to be there and you saw these kids around all day but they were kept away from family camp participants - but because of this all the activities they have are not open all day for family camp, there is a daily schedule provided that outlines when each activity is open/when its closed for family camp, it was typically open for the summer camps that were also there (some day camps and some sleeping there also).Not sure if this double booking is typical for them or if its because of covid to make up for loss money. read more

It was my first time at Club Getaway with a small group. Had the best time experiencing so many different activities. It definitely was a choose-your-own adventure type of experience - from thrilling activities like water-skiing to salsa dancing. The staff are lovely and very attentive. I just went there for the July 4th weekend. It started off very badly and just went downhill from there. I was supposed to get the Club Getaway bus at 49th Street and 12th Avenue. I waited there under a scorching hot sun and there was no bus. I called Club Getaway to find out what the hell was going on and they told me that the bus was actually on Columbus Avenue and 62nd Street. Apparently they emailed and/or called everyone to let them know of the change but they neglected to contact me. Totally unacceptable. I had to book it with my heavy luggage to 62nd Street. I made it in time but I was drenched in sweat and extremely angry that they were so careless about this. The food at Club Getaway was of very poor quality. I was eating some chicken until I opened it up to see that it was completely uncooked inside. Red and bloody. Disgusting! The buffet-style lunches were all sitting under a tent but still under a hot sun so there were flies everywhere. Who likes dozens of flies on their cole slaw? Gross and unsanitary. The family-style dinners were sparse and tasted like they were cooked by children. The "pasta" consisted of boiled bow ties with what looked and tasted like ketchup, and the string beans were crunchy and flavorless. If you were hungry between meals then too bad for you because there was nothing to eat anywhere unless you wanted to get some melted chocolate in one of the ancient vending machines. They handed out warm bottles of water. How about this for a novel idea -- put them in the fridge so we don't have to drink warm water on a hot day. The shower in my cabin didn't have hot water for the first two nights. And the toilet didn't flush. This isn't "rustic," it's neglect. The basketball court and lakefront boathouse look like they haven't been renovated for decades. I paid almost $700 for this and I feel duped. I know my money didn't go towards food or maintenance. I've been in October for Fall Fest and just got back from sports weekend. I think I've used muscles I never knew existed! My first trip was with my Best Friend. The rooms have been upgraded a bit since the first visit and it just keeps getting better! They are just the cutest little cabins! It's totally an adult getaway on the weekends. But, I know they also have family weekends, too! No one under 21 is allowed on the adult weekends!! YAY!! This place is VERY WELL taken care of! The grounds are manicured perfectly. Everything is absolutely gorgeous. They take pride in this place. The owner David goes above and beyond to make you very happy. The entire staff is there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. From the minute you get out of your vehicle they run over and pick up your bags and your off to have the best weekend of your life! The food is absolutely delicious. Both nights for dinner are sit down meals with several courses and both are served with wine that are complimentary! Breakfast is buffet style and you can have almost anything you can possibly imagine. Lunch is definitely my favorite..the desserts alone are enough to make you gain 10 lbs. just looking at them..I was so overwhelmed just walking around trying to figure out what to pick for lunch. There are just so many options. Even vegeterians will be happy!! You will make friends here so quickly. Everyone is great! I've talked to people who have been coming here for 10+ years. You pay one fee to come here..No hidden costs..I mean NONE! The only thing you ever pay for is alcohol! That's it!! They make sure you are very well take care of...They have towels on your bed including a bath towel, hand towel and face cloth. They even have one water bottle, too! They had water placed all over the resort with cups, so everyone stayed hydrated at all times. They didn't leave anything out! Yes mice they are on the beds jumping across to the others it's so gross the bathroom smelled like a porta potty so gross we slept with the lights on bc we were afraid a mouse would jump on us the next morning we left early. The grounds beautiful staff amazing but I could do with out the furry friends. They say no pets allowed but they have their own pets to greet you in your cabin. Say what you will about an "adult summer camp," this place is phenomenal. Club Getaway is a summer camp place where kids (during the weekdays) and adults (during the weekends) can spend time having camp experiences with friends and strangers. The club features a reasonably large lake with plenty of water sports activities, an aerial park, archery, and a variety of other sports activities (biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, etc.) to keep you entertained. For those less interested in athletic activities, there are plenty of indoor and relaxed outdoor things to do, including arts and crafts. For the boozier types, an open bar is available and there are many parties, though many seem to bring their own alcohol. The staff here are superb. Lots of the staff appear to be foreign students working over their summer, while a dedicated cadre of domestic staff also apparently come to help on weekends. Everything is kept clean, neat, and organized - there's really nothing to complain about. Safety is definitely a priority here. While I attended Club Getaway with a large group and the activities were slightly modified at our request, the general trend of Club Getaway activities heads towards goofiness, which is nice. There's a general air of fun that's pervasive to the camp, and staff made a concerted effort to keep everyone involved and entertained. In terms of amenities, things are nice but simple, which is what I wanted. The cabins are comfortable (but walls are thin and the textiles are basic - this isn't the Ritz). Food is decent but not amazing and generally only available during mealtimes, meaning those that get hungry often should carry snacks. Towels are provided throughout the camp, which was awesome. The booze is poured with a jigger, but some of my compatriots thought the drinks were weak for whatever reason. Definitely bring sunscreen, bug spray, and (if needed) allergy meds - there's not any sort of shopping close by. The best strategy for enjoying Club Getaway - at least in my opinion - is to come in as small of a group as possible with plenty of energy and desire to mingle. The activities here are fun and it's great to meet new people, so don't plan to reservedly sit in your cabin or play on your phone. The first time I've been here I had a blast during July 4th. There's much to do and you'll never get bored as I've met a bunch of people who's been there 8+ times. My second time, not so much. Most of the volunteers this past week for their Classic Getaway are great esp to women. And since the slight majority of people who come here are females, the male volunteers apparently have a "penis plan" (true story). One of four girls exited the speed boat after I got on. I asked if I could hang and the driver said no - it's a weight issue. But to tell you the truth, stuff like that doesn't really bother me. Archery was sort of a joke because all the plastic bows and plastic feathered arrows do not shoot straight. People who zip line are required to wear icky helmets (not sure why because I've done tree top adventure courses way more hardcore than the ones they have). The inflatables on the lake need more air and the some of the handles have been ripped off. Cabins could use better cleaning. The band wasn't as good as the first time. Found a condom wrapper in the field by the beach Sunday morning. Spelunkers still need helmets. And it seems like there are highlights mealwise every weekend: Friday night will always be chicken Saturday afternoon is ribs, the night is steak w/ chimichurri sauce Sunday is salmon, tacos, burgers (skip the Chinese) First time, five stars. I LOVE Club Getaway! I have gone 4x and have had an amazing experience every time. I can't wait to go back! It is such a great bunch of warm, friendly, open, fun people that go, and also that work there, that the environment is a perfect combination that guarantees a fun time! To expand upon what I love so much there: - The location is absolutely beautiful with rolling green grass hills, mountains, trees, a lake, and cute cabins (with A/C and heat!) - The food is fresh and surprisingly delicious, with plenty of options; there is unlimited free wine and beer at dinner! - The activities are so fun! What an amazing experience! Came to Club Getaway on a whim with my 3 best friends. We found a deal on groupon but had no idea what to expect... We were blown away by everything we experienced at Club Getaway and can't wIt to come back with more people! The cabins are spacious and nicely decorated. The only downfall to the cabins was the bed quality (mine was hard as a rock) and the shower was super tiny! The food is AMAZING, and I mean RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!!! Upon arrival they had snacks out for cocktail hour but those snacks could have been dinner. The first night was a sit down dinner which we were all nicely surprised by. But the best meals by far are breakfast and lunch!! So much variety at the breakfast and lunch buffets, everyone could find something to love! If I could critique one thing about the food it would have to be to add more vegetarian options at dinner and at various grill times. Being a vegetarian I was very pleased with breakfast and lunch but my only option at dinner was salad, veggies, and whatever starch they offered. And then at grill times a veggie burger option would have been appreciated. The activities and events they offered were first class! We loved the aerial course and the zip lines. Color wars was the most fun field day I've ever had! Keg softball was a riot and then we had beer pong and flip cup challenges which is amazing to play with around 60 people!! The lake was great, had lots of activities to do on the water like canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and water skiing. Or you could simply go swimming and play on all the fun inflatable toys they had available. There is something for everyone to enjoy! And you can be as active as you want to be or just hang out at the lake and do arts and crafts if that's your fancy. Last thing to review is the staff, LOVED every single staff member I encountered! From the full time international staff to the weekend staff, everyone was great!!! Shout outs go to Heidi, Ken, David, and Connor - you guys rock!! Just got back from Young Pros weekend. It was certainly a memorable experience. Pros: A great variety of activities to choose from. Lots of food options during breakfast and lunch. Staff was SUPER NICE. $99 all-you-can-drink bracelets was well worth the cost (although I think drinks should already be included in the pricing for the camp). Loved the Silent Disco night. Cons: I think water bottles should be available instead of the water stations. We kept having to refill the mini cups which started to get annoying. I was not a fan of dinner being family style. I wish dinner was buffet style like breakfast and lunch. All in all, I enjoyed my time at Club Getaway. I definitely would come back! If you're into glamping this is the place to go! read more

Never did I have the opportunity to learn so many different new activities , meet great people, be serviced by great staff and eat gourmet meals. just naming some activities offered was trapeze, tennis, mountain biking cooking classes, rappelling, rock climbing, zip-lining, water skiing, bungee trampoline , aerial park . Everything was well organized and carefully planned out to detail, and the owner of the camp was always on scene making sure everyone was happy. The staff was so friendly and knowledgable. I think this is a great place for friend trips, bachelor/ette trips, and definitely singles! I saw the Bravo show called Camp Getaway and the place looked absolutely beautiful, so added it to my vacation destination list. I was excited to see that it was open for business this summer despite COVID. But still a little skeptical, I called to see if it would be safe and if they could satisfy my dietary needs. I spoke with a really nice woman named Felicia who eased my concerns by answering all my questions and directing me to their safety protocols. And it turns out she is there for the adult weekends and is super fun! Here's the link to the safety protocols: https://fun.clubgetaway.com/safeplaybook Some safety highlights for me were that: * Everyone was tested before getting out of their cars and if any result was positive, the whole car had to return home. * All activities, meals and parties were outside or under a tent with circulation and minimal people in cohorts at each table. Words cannot express the feeling of fun and freedom you get when you are there. Even after seeing the show, I had no idea it would be this amazing. The guests and staff were so friendly and camp offered zillions of activities. You could do anything like: water ski, wake board, fly-board, a ropes course, a giant swing, zip line, cooking classes, bike, hike, pub "hike," keg slip n slide kickball, bloody mary music bingo, happy hour, tie-dye, Xtreme Stretching and the list goes on and on and on - and of course there is simply chill in the lake with or without a cocktail. There are lots of "Social Coordinators" whose job it is to lead activities, but they also hang out and party with us. They really help make the weekend fun, especially for someone like me who came alone. I heard that normally, the place can host up to 300 people, this summer, like other camps, the general public isn't coming, so there were about 75 people the weekend I was there. I asked one of the guests that had been there for one of their larger weekends what is like on a larger weekend and he said both sizes are total blasts for different reasons. The smaller weekend was more intimate and he felt like he and his buddy made more friends that he would keep in touch with after. He said it is possible to make good friends on larger weekends too, but there are more distractions when there are more people. read more

Psyched that this place is going to be on Bravo especially after going Labor Day Weekend with a dozen friends. We had the time of our lives and were just talking about going back again this year to celebrate life itself. You can partake in dozens of activities or do absolutely nothing at all, just relaxing by the lake....Now I'm daydreaming. I had fun on pub hikes, attempting archery, ziplining and playing bloody mary bingo. The boat house parties were tons of fun and the food was so much better than you'd ever expect. OMG club getaway was awesome . I went for the first weekend in May and I wasn't sure what to expect but the experience was amazing. First of all we got there pretty late and we were starving and dinner was over but the staff were so kind to us that they went back into the kitchen and took out food for us and did the same at breakfast as well since my fiance and I are not early risers lol. Tons of activities to do, you just don't know where to start but you're never bored . I personally loved the Beer Hike and the fiance loved the ziplining . We didn't do any water activities as it was a little cold for me, but plenty of people were jet skiing etc. You also meet amazing people from all walks of life . They also had a 90's Prom and I must admit i was shocked to see how it was decorated . It was amazing ! I didn't expect it to be that grand but it really was and the food and drinks were pretty good . I was impressed that the alcohol wasnt the cheap stuff that gives you a headache but decent liquor . There is so much I could tell you about this place. I could go on and on . It's just so much to say . The staff is amazing and so nice ! Very accommodating. I definitely would go back. What a fun fun place. Went here for the Survive and Thrive 2017 retreat. It was gorg! The place, the log cabins, the mountains, the recreational areas, all top notch. David (owner) is so friendly, humble and a great host. The volunteers all love working here and are super friendly. Beware, there is a lot of walking involved just between the lake to the cabins to the tents, but i mean this is an outdoor activities kind of place. You come here to relax as well as detox from the city life. Its a great spot to celebrate with loved ones, friends, family and even corporate retreats. Its like a slice of heaven on earth. I wonder why no one has ever mentioned this to me before. So glad i went and got to experience this gorgeous piece of land. Didnt do much activities so next time going to be doing that. On behalf of Hillside High School's Class of 2019, I would like to thank Nate, Felicia, Luke, Oshean, Anna, Sinead, Aran, Sophie, and Mario for giving our students an outstanding experience! The only downside is the food. It was like cafeteria food-especially lunch. Dinner and breakfast were more palatable. But, overall, not the best. The activities were varied and fun! Even though it rained most of our trip, the staff made sure we had a great time! Nate, from the time we booked, kept me well informed and worked with me to get our trip going smoothly. Felicia, Luke, and Anna did a great job of accommodating our needs as we are a high school and have 17-19-year-olds who's interests were unique. They allowed us to DJ our own events and let us lead our kids away from their standard activities which tended to be more for younger kids. Oshean played with our students and gave some good advice. While Sinead, Aran, and Sophie just went through the motions not really trying to engage and have fun with kids, they still knew and were good at their jobs. Sophie could stand to lighten up a bit. She actually argued with me about my participation in activities as if I were not expected to have fun also. Mario was amazing! He deserves a raise! He wore so many hats during our trip. He went out of his way to provide what we needed. Overall, this was a great experience. I recommend Club Getaway as a trip (mainly for kids in middle school or below) but even our high school kids had a ball. read more

I just spent the past weekend at Club Getaway for Kirill's Wet Hot Summer/Spring Fling and I can honestly I can't remember the last time when I had that much fun. From the moment my friend and I stepped off the bus it all began. I didn't know what to expect at first and was a little hesitant, but the second I started meeting everyone and of course having a few drinks it seemed like a giant group of friends getting together. I didn't meet one person with a negative vibe whatsoever. And the staff was so great and encouraging to make sure that the guests were having a good time. I'm deathly afraid of heights, but after some supportive words from one of the employees, I actually zip lined and it was AWESOME!!!!!!! You pay a fixed price including a chartered bus ride (for 3-day, it was about $550) and that covers: Room - you sleep in a cabin of 2-4 people, Food - 3 meals a day Drink (limited) - Wine and beer during dinner Entertainment - A ton of daytime options that cover sports (volleyball, basketball, softball), activities (hiking, rock climbing wall, propelling, kayaking, water skiing, yoga, massage classes, etc.). Club Getaway (CG) is a very special place. For anyone that attended summer camp as a child, it will warm your heart to step foot on the grounds of CG. The grounds are well maintained and everyone is friendly - guests and staff alike. It's a place you can go to alone, knowing no one and will leave knowing everyone or you could go with a grouop of friends that you've already established and have a fun time. You will have fun and be around people your age if you are 20 or if you are 50. As the other reviews say, the cabins are just that...summer camp cabins. This doesn't matter becase you are really never in them. This isn't a place you go to, to sit in your room and watch TV and lay on 800 thread count sheets. You go to meet people, build relationships, make new friends, and try new things. When I was there the weekend was sold out and I went waterskiing, did the flying trapeze, went rock climbing, had a professional golf lesson, took a cooking class, went to zumba, went kayaking, and got a great tan by the lake. I've been numerous time and every time I meet amazing new people and try something new that they throw on the schedule. There is no need to bring any food of your own, they feed you from the minute that you arrive and the food is AMAZING. I'm not sure about the past reviews that say it's less than stellar - maybe they have gotten a new chef since that post? But you have everything you could dream of to pick from. The food is well above anything you would have had at summer camp as a child! Wine and beer is free flowing with dinner and during the day you can get any drinks you want from the bar down by the water. I think it's funny that people mention that there are bugs - of course there are, you're in the mountains outside! Bugs are part of nature :) Embrace it! Some of them are really pretty. I'm a girlie girl all the way - I like my hair straightner and I have a tanning package year round in the city and I belong to a gym that I may pay way too much monthly for but I loved CG and I'm sure that it will become as special to you as it has to me. We just returned from a 3 day girls weekend Bachelorette Party. A party of 7, in adjoined rustic, adorable cabins. Tons of activities for everyone, the cabins were comfortable, the food was great, and the drinks just kept flowing. The best part though of the weekend was by far the staff. Felicia accommodated our every need. The owner went himself to the convenience store for us off site to get some essentials we couldn't get on the grounds. Bluto was amazing in his hourly costume changes and his energy level never waivered. The rest of the staff, were equally as enthusiastic to be there.
