My husband and I were excited by the grand opening of this store. My husband belongs to the ITC,…read morewhich is some in-house club that provides special discounts. We came armed with our coupons. My husband was interested in an air compressor. We asked if the coupon covered it and the sales associate said yes it did. So we decide to buy it thinking we could get 20% off. We also go various other things. The cashier was unfriendly. She said that she didn't know how the coupon would be applied by the register (this was odd). Then she couldn't scan one item that we had a coupon for. Fine, we would skip buying it. She got huffy about voiding it. The discount would not apply to the air compressor. Apparently there was some agate type somewhere saying that it was excluded. Fine, we would still buy it, but we were told by an associate that it applied. She rudely said that she was not in charge of his training. Okay! On my way out, I said to my husband that I would never return to this store. One of the staff was very concerned about my unhappiness. He wanted me to speak to the manager, who was standing around with 3 other staff jiving in front of the store. Obviously he has more people than he needed working, so he joined them in doing nothing. He had no interest in what was going on in the store or how his cashier was behaving. I had no desire to interrupt his guy bonding or whatever he was doing. Only go to this store if you have no expectation for good customer service. We'll just mail order from Harbor Freight and purchase larger items elsewhere.
