I recently had a very disappointing experience with Clark Pest Control while attempting to cancel my service. When I called to cancel, I spoke with a gentleman named Joe, and the interaction was extremely unprofessional. I was already frustrated that a technician had come out to perform service on a day when it had been pouring rain all day long, which made the timing of the treatment seem ineffective and poorly planned. Instead of addressing my concerns respectfully, Joe became snappy and cocky during the call. At the end of the day, all calls are recorded, and I sincerely hope a supervisor or someone in management takes the time to listen to how this employee--who represents the company--speaks to customers. His tone and attitude were unacceptable. Customer service should always involve professionalism and respect, especially when a customer is raising legitimate concerns. It's important for employees to remember that without paying customers, there would be no business and no jobs. the spraying has not helped anything, I've even seen earwigs in the bathroom, so I will be spraying myself for a fraction of the cost. Since then I have tried to call and pay the final billing and cancel the service multiple times. I have been put on hold, transferred, and told I would have a supervisor call Me back. I just wanted to pay the ridiculous fees charged and stop service. I will not be calling to try and pay again, I suggest you have your employees take a payment when someone is trying to pay or you won't get the payment. read more

I've been with this company for years... my parents? Decades, I believe. Its always the same technician since they have service areas (rather than anyone being assigned anywhere) so I know I'm getting quality work done. I know when I can expect them and I am on the phone with a live person by the 3rd rings if I need customer service. If I have a pest problem my normal tech is out at my place within a day or so. So, they will keep my business, and you'll do worse going with someone else. read more

Really bad customer service over the phone. I call to get help with a bill I got for 2 services performed on my property. One service I seen performed because I was home. The other one she tells me was performed and I should have got a notice from the tech which I did not get one for whatever reason. Right away she tells me we have GPS on our trucks if you think we did not go service the property, but I never said that they did not come service my property I just wanted to know why I did not get the notice she said should have been left for me. Now I am waiting on a call from her supervisor, so I can cancel this crappy service and see what they have to say about their employee being very rude and not answering my questions. I had a bad experience with another company and called Clark Pest Control for some information. I though they might treat me bad or try to get me off the phone seeing that my money wasn't spent with them. I ended up being transferred to supervisor named Greg and I spent more time talking to him then I did the company that took my money. He took the time to help me understand what was going on and how a customer should be treated while using this kind of service. All though I am not a paying customer i would recommend this company. God how I wish I had this company here in Huntington Beach instead of these Micky Mouse workers I did use before talking to Greg. I wish more company's had employees like this guy. He seem to care more about what was safe for my family instead of money in my pocket. That's a company! That's good business! read more

Have been a costomer for several year's now & have been generally happy with the service. It took quite awhile though to finally have them come on the day's i'd be home to have my dog not in the back yard, but that's relatively minor & no longer an issue. read more

Horrible customer service and the technician had very little knowledge. I ended up going with someone else. They told me right off the bat what we are dealing with, we just have problems with water bugs, they are not roaches. The technician with Clark couldn't even say that. The service I can't complain about. The regular technician (Jesse) has been great and what I like about him is that he remembers what you want done instead of you having to take him around and show every time he comes. However, with that said, the BIG PROBLEM is the staff at Merced Office. They are either very naive and untrained or just don't care. I usually book out two months and last September 1st they sent some new technician that didn't seem to listen to what I wanted. When I called (the same day) to book for November 2nd, I explained that I wanted Jesse and to please schedule me with him. The woman stated no problem and scheduled me for today November 2, between 9am and 11am. 12:00 noon rolls around and no show of the technician. I called the Merced office and the same lady who I have talked to before said that I wasn't scheduled yet but to let her schedule me "now." I explained that I spoke TO HER two months ago and she said I DON'T RECALL BUT . . . we can have "a technician: out this afternoon. I said No as we are heading out of twon for awhile and the gates and house will be locked. Told her to forget it that I will hire other professional people and told her to "have a nice day!" Had a guy come out for my termite inspection and all he did was walk around my home for a few minutes and make small talk. Now I didnt know what to expect from a termite inspection until Terminix came through and really blew me away with how thorough they were. Maybe it was just the guy I got that set a high standard but Clark just couldn't compare. read more

Bad customer service. Along with other problems that we encountered. Clarks Pest Control out of Merced I would not recommend to anyone. We had a pigeon pest problem. The pigeons liked to nest and sit on our roof. The dropping and mess they made became a problem. Pigeons droppings are a hazard especially when children are out side playing. Clarks installed spikes across several areas of our roof. For a price of $2600.00. We were assured that this would solve and eliminate the pigeons in the concerned areas. The spikes created more of a problems once installed. Now we had dead birds that had gotten caught in spikes. Which soon became a eye sore to our estate. other pigeons relocated to another areas on our roof. The spikes in some areas have fallen off from where they were installed. Now the spikes lay across random spots on our roof. It took Clark Pest Control three months to come out and remove dead birds and replace spikes. Not to mention the spikes themselves are an eye sore. Clark installed a product that they warranty in which they do not honor. As of today(Feb 12, 2013) we canceled all services. This company is quick to sell you a product and install. Though fails to fallow up and handle concerns and/or fix problems. Also the receptionist at the Merced office has no skills in handling customers and concerns. read more
