The Good Pinecrest still provides an exceptional academic program. I've had very open and transparent interaction with teachers and staff (family oriented). Looking at the schools data/ scores and the progress of my own children, I can attest to the success they have in providing an educational experience that can not be matched by the Public School System. It is rigorous and requires students do the work. Success at Pinecrest is dependent on what students and parents put in. Infinite Campus is updated and I appreciate being able to see what they are working on and when they will be assessed. It helps me keep track of my kids assignments and provide guidance as needed. If your student needs help,just ask. They have a system of support that is very student centered. The school is modern and progressive. They expose students to the technological advances needed to prepare them to be competitive as they enter college and workforce. Additionally they frequently have Guest Speakers, various Community Organizations, Events (very active PTA), Field Trips, all coveted opportunities that gives students exposure to every thing from Entrepreneurship, Career Exploration,The Arts, Community Building the list goes on. The programs for Middle School and extracurricular activities offered are top tier in my opinion. I am supper excited by the addition of the High School Career and College Tracks offered to the students. Pinecrest covering the majority of associated cost. Leaving High School with a Diploma, Certification or degree/ credits is a valuable opportunity. The Bad As Pinecrest has expanded there has been a very noticeable change in negative student behaviors. Bullying, Racism, and Mental Healthl issues have marred the appeal of the school. These issues in my experiences unfortunately have not been limited to students. However, when I've reached out I have almost immediately response and have recieved swift action. Once again, parental involvement is needed in addressing these issues and proactively seeking meaningful resolutions. I also feel Pinecrest needs to revamp how they set and enforce expectations when it comes to behavior. Most students there appreciate all that the achool offers. They come in ready to learn and engage in all the benefits the school provides. However, there are some that disrespect the learning environment continuously contributing little to the overall environment of the school. This is simply not acceptable. It does not go with the core values and goals of the school. More needs to be done to support the teachers in the classroom so that they can teach without distractions. Overall, our time at Pinecrest Cadence has been good. While like any other school there are issues, the overall value provided is still exceptional. I hope that as the school continues to grow they continue putting student success at the healm. Creating an environment where all students feel seen and valued.

Very rarely did teachers or staff proactively communicate with me first, they would wait for "Teacher conferences" to communicate, Which often made it feel like parents are left completely on their own. One situation that especially upset me was when my son's phone was taken away and left at the front desk, yet nobody even bothered to notify me. He ended up waiting alone after school with no way to contact me or let me know what was happening. As a parent, that was extremely concerning and could have easily become a bigger issue. GOD FORBID SOMETHING HAPPEN.! On top of that, there was also a major mistake with my son's yearbook, where he was placed in the wrong classroom section and the customization package we paid for was missing. Instead of handling the issue with understanding, the situation felt minimized and dismissed. I understand schools are busy and mistakes happen, but communication, accountability, and student safety should still be priorities. We got kicked out for trying to protect our kids safety. I will not allow a referee to scream at my child. Our kids have parents. Dr. Jennifer Bartkowitz claimed she was the principle but is the "testing assistant principal" and was telling us we needed to leave instead of speaking with her staff and their refs we got kicked out because of their unprofessionalism.

After four years of the occasional…read moreissue with my son, behaviorally, come to find out he's had a dozen incidents. 8 of which we were never made aware of. He was pushed into the stall and placed in a headlock in the bathroom by another child, he was kicked in his "private" parts during early childcare, he was punched in his "privates" during lunch, he had a basketball thrown at his head at recess, and had his chair pulled out from under him when standing to ask a question in his class. He's not perfect! They never notified us of any of the above incidents. Does he have aggression issues. Yes. At time. Because of the environment they allow on this campus. They can call him a liar, or note he has aggression issues, but if your child is younger and struggles with emotional control this is not the place to be. I should have noticed it earlier. Between the teacher turn over rate-suspicious-, the lack of discipline, lack of timely notification when your child does something wrong, and lack of notifying parents of trauma to the head and "private parts," I would not recommend. They have no real counselors. If you're not from money, all other parents and students treat you like dirt. My son was called trash and poor. Kind of hard for a second grader to process. Keep your kids away. It's just a bunch of drama.

Content is reused from sixth grade to eighth grade, and there are no genuine paths for advanced students to excel. Also, this school uses a one-size-fits-all approach to education. Your child is far better off at a public school. They will be given adequate behavioral support, serious academic opportunities, and a healthier social development. Also, the school claims a rigorous curriculum, yet has no sign of accelerated learning or gifted programs.
