Most bad things at this school is the students being the problem. The school itself is great and has very nice clubs and majors to join.

As a student, I genuinely tried to give this school a chance, but the experience has been nothing…read moreshort of disappointing. The staff, especially some of the principals and vice principals, are incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of supporting students, they talk down to us, ignore concerns, and create an environment where it feels like students are the enemy, not the priority. The school is disorganized and poorly managed. Communication is lacking, discipline is inconsistent, and it's clear the administration has no real control or vision for helping students succeed. Academically, this place is failing us -- resources are outdated, support is minimal, and many students are falling behind with no intervention. It's hard to care about your future in a place that doesn't care about you. The overall atmosphere is chaotic and unwelcoming. Fights happen often, the hallways are loud and unsafe, and instead of addressing deeper issues, the staff just dish out random punishments. It's giving ghetto in the worst way -- not because of the students, but because of how everything is handled. If you're looking for a place that uplifts, guides, or inspires students... this ain't it.

This school seriously struggles with communication and parent support. Throughout the school year,…read moreI constantly had to be the one reaching out regarding missing assignments, falling grades, and concerns involving my child. Very rarely did teachers or staff proactively communicate with me first, they would wait for "Teacher conferences" to communicate, Which often made it feel like parents are left completely on their own. One situation that especially upset me was when my son's phone was taken away and left at the front desk, yet nobody even bothered to notify me. He ended up waiting alone after school with no way to contact me or let me know what was happening. As a parent, that was extremely concerning and could have easily become a bigger issue. GOD FORBID SOMETHING HAPPEN.! On top of that, there was also a major mistake with my son's yearbook, where he was placed in the wrong classroom section and the customization package we paid for was missing. Instead of handling the issue with understanding, the situation felt minimized and dismissed. I understand schools are busy and mistakes happen, but communication, accountability, and student safety should still be priorities. I truly hope the school improves the way it supports and communicates with families moving forward. I truly hope the school improves communication, accountability, and parent support moving forward.

WHY DO THEY MARK IT DOWN? DON'T KNOW? it's honestly not like it makes it any faster! sure makes it seem like they are organized in doing so, but I asked my child one day & she said they just say "okay (child's name) your parent is here get ready" as a type of warning Im sure? but then she added on & said "but sometimes I can't hear who they say because it's really loud & I get in trouble if Im not ready because I wasn't listening". So my point is they need to find a new way to organize this situation. I can't fathom the amount of waiting it takes for parents with more than one child!!

I attended this charter school from 5th grade through my senior year. Many of the teachers…read moregenuinely cared about their students and made a positive impact on my education. Unfortunately, my experience with the administration was very different. Beginning in my freshman year, I experienced repeated sexual harassment both in person and online. I, along with other students, reported these incidents expecting them to be taken seriously. Instead, the administration's response left many of us feeling dismissed and unsafe. What was initially supposed to be an anonymous report quickly turned into a meeting where the students who reported the harassment were placed in the same room as the large group of boys who had made them feel unsafe. Rather than focusing on the repeated harassment that had been reported, we were told, "In a professional workplace, you'd be the one getting in trouble." We were also told that the administration had heard rumors that students were considering leaving because of these incidents, followed by the statement, "That won't be happening. Every student here will walk this stage at graduation." As students, we left that meeting feeling that protecting the school's reputation was more important than addressing the concerns we had brought up. Being told to "stop causing issues" instead of having our reports taken seriously was incredibly discouraging. I recognize that schools may not be able to share every detail of an investigation, and I am not commenting on what actions may or may not have happened behind the scenes. My issue is with how the students who came forward were treated. The response we received made many of us feel unsupported, invalidated, and less willing to report future incidents. This led me to transfer to a public school, where my experience was much better. I am really grateful for the few teachers who listened, showed compassion, and did everything they could to support me and my classmates. However, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this school because I do not believe the administration handled reports of student harassment in a way that prioritized student safety.

Now trying to correct his last name I'm told we have to wait for the teacher to contact Toyota. Her and her administrators, in particular Ms Veeder, are very biased towards students of color. My child has been going to that school since the start of freshman year and I can't begin to explain how my child's school experience has been with these administrators at that school. The schools goals and priorities are supposed to help guide and lead each individual students to succeed, but from my child's experience with those particular admins it has been the opposite of the schools goals. My child has been racially profiled by students in particular white students and was called the N- word and nothing was done about that situation concerning those who are particularly in question. My child would ask help from those admins, but nothing was done to alieve my child's stresses. Sanchez and Veeder has done nothing to help the small percentage of black students there in that school. They bring lies and false hope to parents and students of color and an uncertainty for their future in that school. In my experience as a parent, both admins falsely accuse and racially profile black students first without even questioning or even investigating the Whole truth of a situation. In closing , please be aware of that school if you are a parent to a student of color. Some protocol needs to be changed or even certain admins positions needs to be in questioned.
