I took the Vehicle to several auto body shops around Vancouver who quoted me between $1500-$2000 to do a full sand down, paint, and clearcoat. Then I went to see Kevin at K P's Auto Body. He advised that the scratches were quite bad, but they should be able to wet sand and buff most of the scratches out. He was confident that it was going to be okay. I returned a few hours after dropping my Vehicle off, and it was amazing. I could barely see where the scratches were before. From 20 feet away, I could not see any damage. The price that Kevin charged me was a fraction of what I was going to pay elsewhere. I would highly recommend K P's! They arranged the rental car and even an extension as I was out of town a few days and couldn't pick it up at the appointed time. They took all my stress away from getting my vehicle assessed, repaired and handed back to me like a super shiny brand new vehicle....it was amazing.... really!! They are busy though, so it can take some time to get your repair appointment. Waiting room is nice and comfortable, they have beverages for you too if you want. Over the years, our cars have been run into, whacked, hit, and subjected to all sorts of Vancouver's lengendary bad driver shenanigans. We have never had to take a car back, for an adjustment , or because something wasn't done right the first time. I just had my car in for repairs and the loaner car was a year old, spotlessly clean Lexus sedan. I rent cars a lot for work, and the loaner cars at B&D are so clean they look like they have been detailed after every use. I get a kick out of the staff calling to remind me to bring my car in the day before and they stage arrivals so that each customer is given the attention they need and deserve when dropping off and picking up their car. Here is an example of the level of customer service they offer. B&D has a short pull in area just off Clark Ave. Clark is a very busy street. Customers drive in and park their cars front first and their lot is a single car length deep just past the sidewalk.. B&D always turns your car and their loaner so that you can drive out front first. This simple act shows consideration, attentive care for customer safety, and sets the tone for your experience. Less than a week (5 days I think). Amazing! The rest of the visits were for minor work such tire changes but was always met with a good rate or even a no charge on a coupe of visits including the last one a few days ago! Love that! Wow where do I start? I met Chris back in 2009 ish, it could be earlier. One day I was at the…read moreRichmond auto mall having my car serviced and noticed a guy working on a dent in a lot near by. I asked if he can work on my car. He's done my Honda Civic Sir and Accord v6 coupe. Since then I've owned a few more cars and I've been lucky I haven't received any dings. Until now. Fast forward to 2025. I own a 2019 black Rav4 Trail now. All my previous cars were black as well. If anyone is an owner of a black car, they know very well that you can see a lot of imperfections easily and your contact washes have to be very delicate. I am the kinda ocd car guy growing up. Yes, that kinda guy who would wash his car in the rain if a bird landed multiple bombs on the paint. I've kept Chris's number and this man has been consistently busy. He booked me a week in advance after I sent him the photos of the damage. Some international student on an electric scooter was riding careless and nicked/dent my parked car ‍. Chris is a real friendly guy. He's straight up and honest. His quotes are very reasonable. Obviously the prices are not like before. It's been almost 20 years. But what I can say is I rather support a local business than a corporate entity at this point. I didn't want a record of claim on the vehicle. The option of dent repair makes more sense. I basically dropped off my car by 11am and got a call back by 1:50pm. There's no way you can get your car back on the same day with icbc. On the same day before date night, on a Friday afternoon. I was extremely surprised Chris raised the bar and fixed the paint as well. I wasn't expecting the paint to be fixed. The results looked like the damage never happened. I was so impressed with his standards being so high. Amazing craftsmanship. If you can relate with growing up in poverty , you learn about how to take care of things that you own in life. Maintain your property, vehicles, watches, sneakers, suits, anything you appreciate. It's gut wrenching when you're always so careful then all of a sudden you get dinged and it's by others. Very mentally frustrating. When I picked up my car I was so happy. Now keep in mind I haven't washed my car in 2 weeks because of all the rain storms we received. That damaged area looked practically brand new. Chris made it happen. But it wasn't over. If I wanted to really see his craft I needed to do a contact wash. I took the car home. Did a wash. As expected Chris's work is legit as usual. I took pics and videos on different positions for you to view. It's clean work. All I had to do was apply a Si-o2 protection spray for now to match the hydrophobic beading with the ceramic coated car. I was due for an overhaul ceramic renewal this coming summer anyhow. Chris. You're a great person to do business with. Thank you so much as usual. I appreciate your craft. I wish you well and I wish you many happy moments. Since the time back at the auto mall I've always given your contact number out to friends and family. They all have been so impressed as well. This world needs more people like Chris.
