After learning on my own that this part was on an extended warranty as the result of a class action law suit, I brought the car into Planet. They confirmed the problem and the warranty. The parts was ordered and received in a few days. I scheduled an appointment and the repair was done in a few hours; they even gave me a loaner car at no cost. Everybody I dealt with was pleasant and professional. It was a great experience, especially knowing that this repair only cost me time. If something goes wrong with anything you own, Google the issue, it may be covered by the manufacturer.

Interior was never given a once over and actually had a lighter on the seats from a technician which isnt a great look. Honestly not the biggest deal except for one thing that drives me up the wall. This car has NEON YELLOW calipers not only did they not even try to clean them I got the car with them completely black lol. Barrett sales was great aswell as Richard nothing really falls on them but whoever is back there servicing or specifically cleaning detailing a car getting sold needs to figure it out or go. Just make sure they clean your car to your expectations maybe you wont care as much as me.

When handing over my key fob, I explicitly repeated "full synthetic" to the advisor, who confirmed it.After returning home and reviewing my $1,100+ invoice, I discovered two major issues:They used Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40, which is a synthetic blend--not the full synthetic I requested and was promised.I was charged $177.00 for the oil change instead of the quoted $110.00.I expected dealership expertise and honesty, but instead, I paid hundreds more than a local shop like Valvoline would charge, only to receive an inferior oil blend with a shorter lifespan. While the x3 was in gear and stopped at the stop sign, the tailgate opened. My son's two dogs jumped out and almost ran into traffic. They were just a few feet from getting hit by traffic going 30-40mph. An accidental tailgate opening should not happen while the x3 is in gear. Bmw of Rockland MA looked at the issue and said they couldn't duplicate the problem, but they did say the tailgate did open when stopped in gear with the brake pressed. That's the same problem i had. I guess that isn't duplicating the my problem. The rear tailgate opening could disastrous and it is absurd that they say they couldn't duplicate the problem Even though I was planning on buying a new x3 in 2027, because of this problem I will not buy one. They went through the motions and then dismissed my issue.
