We stayed at Clarion Pointe for a quick overnight stay during a roadtrip from NC to Nashville, TN.
When we arrived, parking was fairly lit and plentiful. We waited quite awhile for the concierge to come up front. After 6 hours of driving, I decided to use the public restroom instead of waiting until we got to our room. It was clean but very poorly stocked.
This hotel is incredibly outdated and the first impression of the paint peeling off of the wall next to the elevator was not great.
We stayed in room 311 and it was clean. The AC didn't work properly and whatever and whoever was upstairs (there's only three floors) were so loud, dropping things at 9am. The bed was one of the least comfortable beds we slept on and woke up with sore backs.
We initially chose this hotel because it was on the cheaper side, had positive reviews, and the pet fee was $25 per night, which was cheap for us because we were only there for a night. There was a decent amount of grass to take our dog on a walk with a trash can towards the back of the building which was convenient.
I definitely would not stay here longer than a night, but for a quick sleep in between driving, it did its purpose. read more
