Very kind, efficient and professional staff from the reception area, to the doctor, and to the technicians. My appointment started on time and I had a new prescription set and ready to go in no time! read more

Clarion Optometry Group is stellar! I have been to many other optometrists and have never encountered a group of professionals that treated me with a high level of knowledge and care. if you need an trustworthy optometrist, they are above and beyond any other group, you won't be sorry you selected their services. read more

I made an appointment to get an updated eye prescription and asked for the cost. It seemed reasonable to me. Then when I filled out the forms, they had me sign off on $89-$179 additional if I wear contacts. I would imagine at a lot of people who have glasses prescriptions use contacts, I really think they should've mentioned this to me on the phone when I asked for the cost of the appt. Even when I first sat down with the (very nice) tech to ask specifically how much it was gonna cost, she said she didn't know until we did the exam. They were essentially saying, 'Will it be what you booked it as, or will it be double? We don't know!' read more

The appointment went great. All staff are friendly. Nice office. Quick service and no wait time.

I had a sudden flurry of Floaters in one of my eyes which scared me... called, and they told me to come in immediately... they did a full exam explained what was going on - which thankfully didn't involve a torn retina... They made an appointment for me to come back in six weeks and told me to call them immediately if I start seeing any whites or shadows. Highly recommended! read more

Dr Wong is excellent. The staff is friendly and kind. The initial visit is only $105.00

Great staff and friendly " very professional people who are passionate about their work.

Great business and fantastic staff!! Customer service was outstanding super friendly.

Had the pleasure of doing some testing with Ashleigh explaining all the gadgets and gizmos she was using to check my eyes before the exam . She was amazing and kept up with my weird conversation and questions. I saw the Doctor who did my exam that I have been needing for months he was amazing and explained everything so I could understand.. After I was done I got fitted for glasses with Jenna the red haired goddess and she helped me pick out amazing frames and explained cost and help me pick all the add on's I needed.. Its so nice to go into a business and feel like you are talking with family and come out with an order for new glasses and if all goes well a new veiw of our beautiful desert..Everyone from intake to the back was amazing I cant wait for my new set of eyes read more

It has been a long time since I've had my eye checked or gotten new frames. This place is the perfect place to come back to if it's been awhile. The girls up front, Eva and Jordan, were so welcoming and kind. The tech was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The woman who helped me pick out my frames, kim, was patient and helped me pick out a pair I love! I had a wonderful visit with and the entire office was amazing! I can't recommend this place enough! read more

My husband went in there this am. November 4, 2025. He had fallen and when he went down he bent his glasses. The people as usual were so friendly and said, we can fix those for you. You bought the glasses here. They cleaned them and he said they have never been cleaner! Thank you for giving him a helping hand. God Bless the whole staff. You know who you are! Many thanks. L. Dr. Chen is exceptional, but the professionalism and courtesy of the front desk staff need significant improvement. I have always appreciated Dr. Chen, who is an excellent optometrist and truly provides outstanding care. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with the office staff have been disappointing since the new staff has been hired. The reception staff in particular have been extremely unprofessional and at times outright rude. On multiple occasions, both in person and over the phone, I was met with unnecessary attitude when simply trying to schedule an appointment. The staff are not personable, even when expressing thanks, I've often been met with silence or stares rather than a courteous response. After getting my eyes dilated they did not offer protective sunglasses which caused lots or irritation to my eyes. There are some nice receptionists but the one I've been interacting with lately has just been plain rude. Me and my family will no longer be going to clarion for these reasons. read more

This place deserves 5 stars. I spent almost a year trying to get my prescription correct, went to two different places, 3 different eye doctors and finally found Audrey Chen, she was so patient with me, making sure that we finally got the right prescription for me. She truly loves her job and is so knowledgeable, strongly suggest seeing her. I also always have the best experience with the ladies in the front, Jordan is so kind and caring, she has amazing customer service skills along with the other girls I interacted with (Eva and kehau) and another one that i don't remember her name.. but anyway, I'm so thankful for the experience i receive here every time I come in, definitely worth it read more

Too expensive and got my prescription wrong twice. Eye doctor has no bedside manner, abrupt and in a rush.

Clarion Optometry is the best there is in the High Desert. I was assisted by Jenna, who provided me with fast, friendly, professional service! read more

I had the best experience there! The staff, especially the front counter girls Jordan and Eva were informative and helpful sorting out my insurance. The other girls from the back helped me pick out some nice glasses. I even asked the opinions of the front desk ladies who gave me a few ideas. So nice and sweet all of them. Oh and the doctor was patient and helpful too. read more

The Optometrist was very nice. However, my first set of glasses did not work. I went in for another appointment, and my glasses were sent in for a new prescription. This was many weeks ago and still waiting for my glasses. I would not recommend Clarion Optometry Group. read more

I came in as an emergency appointment for a dog scratch on my eye. The office was able to squeeze me in same day, despite calling close to closing. I paid cash for an uninsured visit, and the price was $100 cheaper than the other quotes I received. Dr. Aubrey Chen is probably one of the nicest humans I have ever met. She is a very thorough doctor with above average bedside manner. When I came back for my follow up appointment, same thing: they fit me in around my work schedule, gave me free samples for prescriptions, and gave me 75% off for my follow up fee. 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Friendly people, been going here for 20+ years. Always has been good. Had two weeks wait for glasses. That is standard wait time.

This review is about Jenna. Jenna is spectacular! I had an emergency situation and Jenna made it work. Thank you again!! Subsequent visits were unsatisfactory. New lenses were ordered and they came "almost" at my prescription. Clarion hoped the tiny difference would not matter but it did. Huh? New lenses were ordered and they were made wrong. Sigh. The staff is lovely and eager to please. Stuff happens but this is tough to bear. The four stars are for my initial visit. read more

Very friendly office. They are observing all of the precautions. They were able to get me in immediately when I noticed an eye issue after arriving to work for the day. I appreciate that. The doctor is very kind and professional. read more

Clarion Optometry Group - Optometrists Near Me - Yucca Valley, California

Dr Chen was awesome. Personable, honest, and took her time. I was very pleased with our visit. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. read more

Last year, VSP referred me to this provider. I subsequently shared the takeaway from that visit with VSP. Then in the form of a post to The Clarion Optometry Group's website. (Since deleted.) In a word, the experience was abysmal. The front office personnel exhibited a complete lack of anything approaching professional behavior. Or even basic courtesy: patients and patrons treated like cattle. Notwithstanding Dr. Lowman, the vibe was dumbed down transactional. No grace whatsoever. From persona to prescribed product now, the contact lens I received proved to be of inferior quality: uncomfortable, underpowered. Good for little more than three to four hours' use. In sum, The Clarion Group appear better suited to washing dogs. Perhaps cars. Definitely not human interaction, let alone eyecare. read more

I stop in to make an appointment. I'm told to get lost and call in on the phone. I inquire "I can't make one here and now?" I'm tersely told at the door "no," just before it's shut in my face! Are you kidding me?/! Don't blame that idiocy and rudeness on Covid, which has become a rationalization for all sorts of inapt inhumanity. I, of course, went elsewhere. Inexcusable. That rudeness is a good way to lose business, which you did. When I told the person who recommended you to me, she was horrified and similarly disgusted. This is not a matter of vigilance; it's a matter of attending to human dignity. read more

Great staff; super helpful and patient. Dr Schwab is the best optometrist I have been to. She's informative, always answers my questions and clears things up for me (pun intended). Overall, I love coming here- I highly recommend. read more

They will upsell you on everything AND charge for pupil distance to buy glasses elsewhere. I've never heard of a pupil distance scam but I'm not paying $30 for something that should be included in my rx. Never again. read more

One of the worst mickey-mouse operations I've ever come across. They failed to deliver my prescription, after 5 weeks. Then, upon promising a refund, instead charged me yet again. Then, upon promising to make up the original refund and the second charge, failed to do so. Thus, I have to go to my bank, if not court, for satisfaction. And according to my experience, I now distrust the eye exam by one Xu Shao Huang (license OPT13213 TPL), and will seek another exam from a competent optometrist. AVOID THIS SHOP. read more

Sad to say ordered glasses 8-24 paid cash . Ordered Progressive and anti reflective lenses. Still waiting for order. I had no insurance. Can't believe I get no update and called 9 -10 and told they will check, and call me back. I paid over 800 dollars for. Would of appreciated a reply. Never again not impressed. All those people working and no reply. read more

I had a recent appointment in Yucca valley. I was very impressed with Dr Wong's professionalism and thorough explanations of my eye health and future care. The staff was 20 minutes late to calling me in, but this may be a one time occurrence so I don't think it's fair rate the office lower. read more

The worst place to go to. They promise to call you back and they never do. My exam and a 6 month supply of contacts cost $400 and it's been almost a month since my exam and no contacts yet. read more

Very rude staff, I was calling to pick up my glasses and I'm still talking, she hangs up on me. I was so disappointed with how they handle customer service. When I was there to get my glasses, I was not done talking she turns out and went to the next customer. read more

Had a pretty terrible experience here. The tech was great, the doctor was great, the exam was fine. But afterwords they put us with some bulldog of a sales person, Jenna, who just tried to strong-arm us, charge us a small fortune for everything, and continually lied to us about the numbers. She engaged in classic bait and switch, used car dealer tactics. When we asked for clarification on the outrageous numbers, she raised her voice as if we were deaf instead of just explaining it more clearly. We asked her to lower her voice. She instead tried to gaslight us and tell us we were crazy. Just horrific treatment of customers. We will never be back. And that is due to this company's decision to hire people like that to represent them. read more

Jessica at the front desk is everything!! Helpful, smart, accommodating! The BEST. I recommend her!!!

Excellent care from the front desk, the technicians, and the doctor. Very friendly and knowledgeable!

The definition of customer service varies from one organization to another. In my opinion there are several areas that must be addressed to provide outstanding customer service. First, the staff should have an excellent attitude and great communication skills. Customers or Patients should be greeted in a pleasant, professional manner. Secondly, practitioners and businesses must realize that people can go where ever they want to have their services provided. Finally, patient's questions or concerns must be addressed. In summation, good customer service means simply to treat patients like you would like to be treated. The result is great customer service and appreciation for their valued patients. Dr. Dennis Lowman, Ms. Courteney Evans and Staff accomplished all the above. Outstanding Service, Outstanding Staff, Outstanding Lounge Area for Customers and all the above was addressed. Clarion Optometry Group goes above and beyond for my family and me. They care about their patients like no other optometry I've experienced! Keep up the Outstanding Work! read more

I needed new glasses asap, I lost my only pair. The receptionist was very nice and curtious. This place has a mask policy in place and I let her know that I was CDC exempt because of my breathing condition and I could not breathe if I put a mask on. She tried to work with me and talked to her manager. Her manager denied my request and I could not be seen. read more
