I was little concerned about ordering a cake from a bakery out of state without actually having the opportunity to go into the bakery. But because I trusted my friend who ordered her wedding cake from Clara's before and was very satisfied so I decided to pick up a phone call and order for my wedding. All my fears were put to rest when the cake was delivered to the wedding venue. the cake was even more beautiful than I imagined it would be. It was perfect and exactly what I was hoping for. I order 2 pies and a cake for Thanksgiving. The cake was beautiful, adorned with gorgeous ganache pumpkins. I ordered chocolate and vanilla. The top layer was vanilla, the bottom was chocolate. Both layers were moist and fabulous. The buttercream frosting was delicious. I'm a firm believer that cake is simply the conduit for icing and serves no real purpose. I ordered a cake from an online pic for my son's 7th bday. The cake looked exactly like the pic I sent them. Sadly the bday boy got the stomach bug the day of his party and his party got moved a week. I had my Clara's custom cake sit in the fridge for one week hoping for the best.
