We were really craving some wings and heard that Clancy's Pub has some of the best in the area. Despite the reviews, we headed over to the pub to give them a try. We regretted it quickly after we arrived. The pub itself is an older venue in Dravosburg. It's your typical outdated, old school bar. It was pretty dead in there - perhaps because it was around 9:15pm on a weeknight. We grabbed some seats at the bar as we were going to order a few drinks, too, and figured it would be easier. They didn't have too many beers on tap so I just ordered a Yuengling and others with me ordered Sam Adams. We checked out the menu and placed our order for the wings around 9:30pm. They were about $1.25 per wing and they had a variety of flavors. We ordered 10 wings and picked hot, extreme hot, garlic parm, and hot ranch for the flavors. As we were sitting there, there were some pretty loud, intoxicated people at the end of the bar. It made it hard to watch the hockey game/hold a conversation; and, to be honest, I was hoping they had called for an Uber ride home when they wound up leaving around 10:00pm. (They did not seem to be in good shape to drive.) We continued to wait for our wings and at this point, it was about 10:15pm. Not once since we placed the order did the bartender go to check on the wings or at least let us know they were coming out soon. He mainly stood at the end of the bar chatting with some people sitting there. Around 10:30pm, we finally called for the bartender and asked what the hold up was. He went to check on them and came back to tell us they'd be right out. About 15 minutes later, they came out. I wouldn't say the wings were the best and they definitely were not worth the 1hr+ wait. The wings sat in puddles of the sauces and didn't have a whole lot of flavor overall. The hot ranch sauce itself was tasty but the wings in general were not. I was pretty disappointed. Perhaps with this feedback, they'll improve the service. I don't think we'll be stopping back anytime soon.

This is pained on the wall in the dining room, which is very nice & family friendly!!

We showed up for a Saturday lunch ahead of a snow storm, and the overall experience was good. The staff were friendly. There were clearly some number of regulars around. The space is a bit old and drafty, but that just adds a level of character. In terms of the food, we ordered a few salads and a half reuben (part of the lunch special), plus an Italian flatbread. Nothing was exceptional, but everything was nicely prepared and presented. The vegetables in the salad were fresh and crisp. The flatbread was good but not particularly noteworthy. My partner liked the rueben, but thought it could use a little more sauerkraut. The Guinness was fresh and nicely poured. All told, this was a good experience. Understand that this is more of a neighborhood hang than a destination, but it excels at filling that role.

I made an exception recently and tried the pretzel sticks. They were kind of greasy, a detail I was willing to overlook because I was hungry and they tasted good. The beer selection is standard craft beer and domestics--I would love to see them stock more high abv beers in the cooler like they used to. Now it's mostly seltzers and IPAs.
