It's not Borders books of the past, and of course I shouldn't compare the two. But it does offer…read moreyou a plethora of good books at fair prices. Usually my go to is the clearance section and this is around various parts of the store. So you won't find just one section of clearance or bargain books, look around. I did appreciate the coffee shop (Starbucks) that is located on the side of the store (inside) and loved the fact that I was able to read a book just purchased at the coffee shop and didn't have to worry about being pushed out. With a gift card of $50, I was able to get 7 books on clearance and books that normally would of cost.m over $100. Now that's a deal if you ask me. Books that I wanted and books that I definitely needed! Of course not everyone will like the quiet in the bookstore (kind of reminds me of a library) and this I do like. It's also a good thing that the employees are friendly and knowledgable. Not like at other bookstores, employees seem to not want to help in my experience. But here it's not a problem and I am pleased with my selections.

For a chain store location these days, this is a good one. A large array of books, of course, as…read morewell as games, toys, puzzles, and quite a few periodicals in print (becoming a rarity). There's also a coffee shop for all your beverage and snacking needs while reading.

A great Half Price Books location!! When I sell here, the service and staff are excellent and…read moreefficient. I've always liked selling here. Selling here is definitely something I would recommend though remember supply and demand. I have sold a bunch of dvds and Blu-ray's and criterion's and arrow videos here and it was always taken care of excellently! Also, they have a very nice selection of blu-rays, DVDs, CDs, and more! The value is great and the store has a great nice inviting atmosphere and I love the massive selection of movies, some nice video games and related things to buy at great reasonable prices..... there is so much to do in this store!! I wish I can get some pictures. I need to visit again and get some nice pictures of here. I love this half price books. I come here all the time and I will NEVER STOP coming here! I will always come here! Highly recommend!

Also, some of the quality of the items are questionable, even for a half priced bookstore. Ultimately, our toddler was able to spend 30-40 minutes here browsing and looking at books, and had fun picking out something to bring home. It's a good place for a small outing that doesn't give off library-vibes!

Living in the Chicago area, it's surprisingly hard to find new age/spiritual/metaphysical shops…read morearound. I had gotten a recommendation of this place after the metaphysical store near me closed down over a year ago. I have been to Quest a few times now, but I finally managed to remember to write a review for them! The shop is fairly sized with books on just about every subject that deals with Religion, spiritual, metaphysical, Native American, Egyptian, Buddha, Chakras, Meditation, Angels and lots lots more! They have an area in the back where you can sit on a couch and read a book if you're deciding on whether or not to buy it. I spent a good twenty minutes or so flipping through a few books and I ended up buying one, I am glad I didn't feel rushed to read and make a choice! Not only do they carry a wide assortment of books, but they carry soaps, sprays, roll ons and other natural products like that. Their crystal and stone assortment is massive! I ended up purchasing a good 15 stones or so and the size of the other stones they carry range from small to huge. I saw a huge amethyst crystal about the size of my head, I believe it was around $200. I wish I could buy it, but anyway, they also carry tarot and angel an esoteric cards and more card assortments. Their candle and incense assortment is also pretty big. They carry different branded and packaged incenses as well as different types of candles for whatever your need may be. I ended buying a candle, as well as natural soaps on sale, a book and many crystals/stones. The gentleman at the counter did an amazing job of answering the many questions I had and he knew a lot about many of the subjects/topics the store carries. I felt like I could ask him anything. Anyway though my visit was awesome, a slow day during the week is best to visit so you can take your time browsing, especially if you're like me and don't like people poking into your business and hate being rushed. Since I live kind of far, I always make each visit a special one. I've also had my aura read here and got a 20 page personal report about me and my aura. Ask about that as well as the other reading that they do weekly. I am a customer for life!

I was there on Saturday. They had a fair with many different services. My son and I decided to do…read morea walkin booking with clairvoyant Erin. Please don't waste your money. I guess that's where the "and more" part comes in (and does a lot of heavy lifting). Of the books on display, they had only a single copy (at least out on the floor). And the books were displayed face out, which makes sense when you're trying to catch the attention of young children many of whom can't read, but then when only half of your shelves hold books it's fairly sparse. They also had some stuff from some local purveyors and gifts and stuff. I got some bath stuff to try with my little one to shake up bath time a bit. They have some stuffed animals and stuff. They have some benches and pillows, spaces for kids to hang out and play; one was a wardrobe that was really nicely arranged as a reading nook which my kiddo really enjoyed. (I wish I had the vision to see something like a wardrobe and find that if I take the doors off and anchor it to a wall, it could be a fun place to cuddle up!) Something that's really cool is that they have a fishtank with a couple of axolotls, which my babe was astonished by. The bookstore seems to have a cool thing where you can arrange to have your kid feed them. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our visit here was the reason we came. I saw on Instagram that they were having train day, mentioning train books and crafts. My daughter loves trains, so we headed down. I think there were three train books on display. And the "craft" was some half-sheets of paper, crayons, and sheets of stickers that had trains on them. There was another family that had come in at the same time as us and I couldn't help but wonder if they were as let down as I was. I'd been really looking forward to visiting this bookstore--I wanted to about a year ago but hadn't been able to get here. I don't know that I'd come back even if I was nearby, because there are so few books that I don't know I'd want to just stop in to take a look since I'm not sure we'd find anything. Depending upon what's happening I'm not sure what parking is like; there's a good deal of parking down the block near the train station, but otherwise limited street parking.
