The professionalism has always been outstanding and it's rare for us to see bugs after treatments and when we do see them, it's generally ants. We've had a much wetter than usual spring and when we started seeing ants again, we called Valor. It wasn't our usual contract appointment, but nonetheless we explained our ant problem and they responded with a courtesy service the next day. Next day service is exceedingly rare. Their employee, Reuben arrived spot-on the time we were told to expect him. He said something that really struck me as premier customer service when he said, no matter that we sprayed in March, I am here to do whatever is needed to control your pest issues. I asked to be waited a few extra weeks in January 2024 to recover and be able to move my hand to pick up my decorations. I did not think it would be considered canceling. I believed that my health was more important than an established policy with rules. In March, I received a message from the person who was coming to my house to give me the services that had a baby and could not come and I told her no problem I consider that his family was more important. Then on November 26 it was my turn for service and I had to travel on the 20th to Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving. Because I did not receive services on November again the manager cancelled the account without prior notice, without communicating with me, a letter or a call. I was waiting for the service this morning and I saw that they did not come. I text them and they told me that the account was closed because it had already been three times that I had not received services and there were three cancellations and their policy is very strict in complying with them. I see that as a lack of respect and consideration after having been a loyal customer who paid monthly for services.. Being a business person, I will never recommend them. I believe that people's lives are more important than a policy. I do not give money to someone who does not appreciate and value me as a loyal customer. I paid them for 9 months of the year 2024 and for three services that they did not give me and it was not a cancellation, it simply was not possible. Those days they closed the account. That shows that for them money is more important than the lives of other human beings.

For several months, I have tried in good faith to cancel my service through the Franklin, NC Orkin office located at 120 West Palmer St., Franklin, NC 28734 (phone: 828‑687‑3810). Each time I call, no one answers, and the call rolls over to the Anderson, SC office. Every month, I explain that I want to cancel. Each time, I am told that I will still be charged for the current month--even though no service has been provided--and that I must wait until after receiving service and then cancel before the 21st of the month. I have followed these instructions twice, yet my service has still not been canceled. Today, when I attempted again to cancel, I was told that canceling now would result in a $128 charge, but if I receive service, the billing will continue. In other words, I am being told I will be billed whether I receive service or not. This is unacceptable. I am requesting the following: - Immediate cancellation of my Orkin service. - No further billing of any kind. - Removal of charges for services that were never provided. At this point, the continued billing feels like a cancellation fee disguised as monthly service charges, and I do not consent to paying for services I did not receive. We would highly recommend Scotts pest control to anyone looking to have their crawlspace encapsulated. we did our due diligence by getting estimates from 4 reputable companies. Scout's offered the best overall service and products, they removed the old 6 mil plastic vapor barrier and small debris and hauled it all away, raked and smoothed out the ground to provide the optimal surface for the vapor barrier, wrapped all of the piers with vapor barrier, installed "Bora-Foam" insulation board (termite repellenting) to the exterior foundation walls, proactively installed radon mitigation piping stubbed out and capped just above the vapor barrier and installed an "April Aire" dehumidifier (on its own dedicated electrical circuit) and it's so quiet we cannot hear it running from inside the house. They also did a proactive termite treatment around the entire foundation of the house. Kenny had a team 4 people working in the crawlspace a few days, other days 3 but not less than 2 all other days for almost 2 weeks. We are very happy with the work that they did.
