Well, some of the staff are rude. The last time I came here was with my friend when I was like 15. We walked in and two older teenage girls were running the counter and looked bored out of their mind. They sent out a mean popular girl vibe and I know girls like them today at my school. Anyways, my friend and I looked around and I saw a cute miniature backpack. I walked up to the counter only to see a lady in front of me. The girl behind the counter gave me a look that said "Are you dumb? It's your turn." So I just walked up and put my item on the counter. Before she even scans it she's like buy one get another thing free kind of thing. I was confused since I knew what she meant but she said it in a weird way. So she made me look bad by needing MORE cheap plastic items in order to get 3 more free things which she didn't tell me before. Hope I could give it 0 star. I went ear piercing for the first time ever in this location. The lady who performed for me seemed very inexperienced. She dragged and pulled my ear when she tried to remove the piercing gun, but failed. She asked her coworker how to remove it and finally she took it off my ear. I felt pain at that time but thought it was normal. Until 5 days later I went to urgent care because I got chills and lots of pain in that ear she dragged. Yes it was infected. I got medication for a week and lost one hole. Hope it is just me that got this unlucky first time ear piercing experience with Claire. I will never come again. read more

Spent 20 minutes shopping, then as we take our purchases to the counter, customers come in to get their ears pierced. The employee comes up to the register and tells us we need to wait so she can pierce their ears. We've been there for 20 minutes and are at the register, and she comes all the way to the register to tell us she isn't going to ring us up yet?! Also, I was gonna get my ears pierced there, but 3 of my friends told me not to, because all three of them got pierced at Clair's and they all got an ear infection after. I was looking for a place to do a cartilage piercing and thought Claire's would be close, quick and easy. The reviews made me very hesitant, so glad I ignored them. Valerie assisted me, she is the new manager who took this store over 3 months ago. She was very genuine, helpful and was assisting more than just me in the store. I told her what I wanted and she took her time in explaining the earrings, and marking 3 places she thought would be good. The processes was simple, didn't hurt too bad. Worst store I ever seen. Among the overpriced useless merchandise sold there, the cunning discount policies, and the ridiculous return policy, the cashiers there were the worst. I mean there is no complain if you want to make more money, but trying to trick young kid customers when they are buying stuff by themselves brings the greed to another level. The store may not care much because it is not the grownups they are attracting. I came into this store today with the sole purpose of buying a set of nose rings. I entered the store at 11:10 AM and when I did there was a mother and daughter waiting to get the daughters ears pierced. There was only one woman working, and round red haired woman. I stood waiting at the nose rings watching her work with the pair on where they wanted the earrings placed, and she was immediately unfriendly, annoyed just when speaking to them. She then came over and shoved me and said excuse me I have to see if there are cat earrings even in this store, and started spinning the display next to the nose/belly button rings. She then walked back over and continued on with their piercings. She pierces the daughters ears, make sure she feels fine, and I have no problem waiting for this. She then continues onto explain to the pair that she's so annoyed at this store, at the way it's run, how unorganized it is, etc. At 11:30, a family of four came in and she asks if they're her 11:30, to which they say yes. She goes "Are you ready to have me pierce them one at a time?" To the daughter in a very aggressive tone. The daughter agrees that she is prepared for that. Over the next 10 minutes, 3 other groups of people come in just to purchase something. She begins to check out one of the groups, and I ask her, "Can you please open this display so I can check out?" She says, "Yes you're going to have to wait." She then checks out the remaining 2 groups of people who came in about 20-25 minutes after me, as I'm still standing in the exact spot waiting to be helped. Once she finishes check out the groups of people who came in after me, she goes over to the piercing area and begins helping the family with the 11:30 appointment. I sat there for about 8 more minutes without being helped. A total of around 33 minutes without help, ignored and dismissed in this store. So here I am writing this review at 11:52. Are you kidding me? I was in line to pay for something and there were 2 people working there, an assistant who was giving someone an ear piercing and the manager who was consoling someone who had an ear infection. There were 6 people in line after me and the manager barely looked at us. She just kept talking on and on to the patron who developed an ear infection and didn't say a word to the people in line; in fact she kept her back towards us and just kept talking like the other lady was the only client there. This talking lasted for 10 minutes before I gave up and left. I will never buy anything from this establishment again! If i could give this location a 0 stars, I would. read more

I would say for the most part this is a good store. I've gone in a couple times to get new earrings for my cartilage. The first time i went in the lady was incredibly helpful and seemed to genuinely want to help me. The second time i went in the lady working was completely ignorant and didn't want anything to do with me or my sister. I asked for advice and all she said to me was "ma'am please pick one, i have other costumers waiting for my attention". She also would disregard other costumers questions and went back to going on her phone while there was a line of people waiting. read more

I had a great experience but only with 1 lady who is the manager. Every other time I've gone in I've been lazily taken care of. The people working talk like they don't know much and are just like tired and don't want to be there. (Just the vibe you get.) But the current manager who helped me was great. Cute sunglasses but the lady who worked there was extremely rude when we came in late for an ear piercing appointment. If you're working at a store for little girls you'd think you would have decent manners but no, this woman was sarcastic, rude, and insensitive. Came in today with my niece. Not only were we not asked for help at all in the twenty minutes we were in there but the service we got at the register makes me never want to come back again. The lady named Silvia (spelling?) was short with us and refused to take my $50 bill. I thought this was strange because it's Saturday and what retail store can't give me back $24 in change?!?! She didn't even look in the drawer but said sorry I don't think I can break this. Then turned toward the register, thought for a second then turned to me and said Yeah I can't break this. Again thought to myself, that's strange but ok I'll swipe my debit card. Then she asks if my niece and I are sisters. Implying I look like a young teenager (I'm turning 30 this December so come on!) is one thing but then it made perfect sense why she wouldn't take my $50 bill. She thought I'm a young kid with a possible fake bill. Anything else is just as insulting. I told her she's my niece and her uncle (telling her I'm married and not a child) said we could treat her to some new earrings. She obviously didn't catch on to what I was telling her because she again says that we seem so close and that we are sisters?!?! Seriously?! It will be a long time if ever for me to come back. I'm insulted and angry at the way I was treated. Wish I could give 0 stars. My girlfriend and I called in advance to reserve something she needed. The person on the phone said they would hold it till the end of the business day, and also stated they were open till 9p. We double checked the Claire's website and Google and confirmed that they were open until 9. We arrived at 8:30, where the lights were on and there were two employees standing there talking. The doors were locked, and we told them to open them because they were open till 9. Horrible customer service. We brought back our daughters ear piercing earrings that fell apart that cost $30+ and just wanted to exchange them. They acted like they had never seen the earrings before and then proceeded to call their completion - The Icing to ask if we had bought them there! The eventually got a manager on the phone and asked what they should do. When my husband asked to talk to the manager they said no. They then asked us to wait for the manager to drive over from Bellevue so we could speak to him. All in all never buying anything from them again and will tell everyone we know what a horrible experience we had. read more
