After such great service, I hired 495 Home Services a second time to hang a giant banner on the side of my company's building. There were a few structural challenges with mounting the banner, and Alex and Julio troubleshooted every issue that came up and within a couple hours had this banner mounted securely, perfectly centered and level. (And on the hottest and most miserably humid day of the summer, they did it with smiles on their faces.) After the banner I had one more job for 495 Home Services. However after reading multiple Yelp reviews and sending a private message to a customer and receiving her feedback, I decided to call the company to get an estimate on some projects. Alex immediately emailed me to confirm a day to conduct the estimation and also provided his cellphone number, by texting me. Alex and his staff were very professional and I am super happy with the outcome. I wanted to surprise my parents with renovating their home and I told Alex the timeline. He worked with me to ensure that everything would be completed on time. He is also very knowledgeable, so if you are unsure as to how something would look etc, he will give you an honest opinion. I also felt comfortable working with him because he was easy to get in contact with and very trustworthy. Several projects his team worked on (i've attached pictures) included building a small roof with shingles for the patio area, organizing/ boxing/ moving items into a storage area, landscaping, installing blinds, power washing etc. I would definitely recommend this company since it is quite difficult to find people who you can trust and will work closely with you within budget to accomplish your goals.

Another workman showed me that the screw just needed tightening and refused to even charge me for such a ridiculously small 'repair'! He guaranteed his work for a year. The tile work he did on one tub has resulted in puddling on the floor every time the shower is used. It's been 3 months since he was paid in full for ALL of his work. Two weeks ago I contacted him to fix the puddling problem. No response ! Since my call to him the puddling is only one of a number of things that that he worked on that isn't working properly! His "WARRENTEE " isn't worth much since he doesn't respond even 3 months into the first yr! Must of been his wife or mother who wrote the favorable review before mine. Not only was Oded prompt, honest, transparent, and fair, his work was simply superb. He goes the extra mile to ensure that things are done right the first time. We had him install new light fixtures, cabinetry, baby proofing toilet latches, replace a garbage disposal unit and even assemble and install a custom walk in closet storage system. The custom closet system was not originally in his area of expertise and Oded was frank and honest about it. He could've fooled me because it turned out beautifully. His scrupulous attention to detail and patience are hallmarks of a genuine professional. His price isn't cheap, but it's not expensive either. We contacted 4 remodeling companies before choosing Old Bay Remodeling, After my wife's almost an…read moreyearlong research to find materials and selections to complete the kitchen, we decided to get bids from Angie's list. Old Bay came in highly recommended with a 4.7 star rating. We got other bids from contractors 4.5 stars and above. We had a contractor who showed up on TV who bid the job at 4 times the price of Old Bay and we had contractors who my wife called 'Chuck in the truck' contractors who bid my kitchen at 30% cheaper than Old Bay. The big name contractor came with his pamphlet, tried to push his branded materials on us - "You can only choose backsplash from this pamphlet" they said. We had to wait 10 weeks to get started they said. They will give us warranties on materials for 10 years, but we have to pay for labor, would something go wrong. The estimate was a 10 pages long with 9 pages of their marketing bullshit and one page of the actual estimate. Also wanted me to pay for design before they even gave me any drawings - not even rough drawings with the estimate. The Chick in the truck - unlicensed guy with his helper in a truck, said he can start tomorrow. We can purchase any materials and he will put it in. He gave us a labor only bid literally handwritten on a notepad piece of paper. I was pretty sure after the work is complete, I would never see him again. Then comes Old Bay Remodeling and Bill Keeling. Licenses and Insurance checked out. Reasonable 5 weeks delays to start the job. Detailed drawings and sketches with a 3d rendering of how things would look at the end. The process took about 5 days with some edits. But we were able to sign a well written contract, 3 pages long. But no marketing bullshit or content. 3 pages of how the work will be done, what is included, not included and what ifs. We went with them mainly because of Bill the sales guys and Sara the designer. The construction started and there were some hiccups, but mostly all right. The job was completed with a 2 day delay - I'll give them a pass on that. Trash was left outside for couple days, and I had to call the office to get it removed. But the actual kitchen looks great!

He then claimed, he couldn't perform the job which was fine, and would refund the deposit for the project. Then after several hour waits, a several calls, he has still failed to refund the deposit despite saying he was going to. My saving grace was I used Venmo for it and they are going to get my funds back. Again, he is a con-artist with poor character. Use literally any other business.
