So unfortunately I ended up moving for the seventh time in seven years and because my move with Claddagh Moving and Neal went so well last year, I was sure to ask for their help again. I accidently gave them the wrong moving date (off by a day) and when they followed up to confirm our appointment, they were extremely flexible and understanding in changing our time to my actual moving date. They arrived 10 minutes early and hung out as we got a few things ready. We had a lot more stuff this time around compared to our last move so this move took five hours whereas our last move took three hours. Neal and two others helped us move over a block and a half with care. They also supported the repair of our TV stand which came undone during the move. I recommend them for their fair prices and efficiency to my friends expecting to move! read more

They don't even have a truck of their own. The guy's name is Neal and his number is what you get when you reach out from Yelp and Google Maps. He committed to a move and 45 mins before, the truck wasn't available. (Edited: he probably didn't want to back off since he agreed that all this wasn't okay but anyways, I've to figure this out now). See other images that Neal is associated with this moving company. I should have trusted the yelp reviews here. read more

Based on the other negative reviews, it seems like I dodged a bullet... I hate to leave negative reviews, but I did not have a good experience with this company. I flew into town to help my daughter move and I came across this company. Neal agreed to help us move. A few days before the move date, he asked if he could come an hour earlier and I agreed to that since it worked better for my schedule. He never showed up, left us high and dry, and left us screwed. He ended up totally ghosting me and blocked my calls and messages out of nowhere. I only found out when I texted him to see what time he would arrive on the day of the move. I was left scrambling to find a mover at the very last minute. This caused a huge financial burden since I had to find new flights, also. This company is unreliable and unprofessional. I do not recommend. read more

Neal was efficient, thorough, and courteous for my in-town full service move. Also available on pretty short notice, which is crucial for the SF rental market! Prices were fair, would definitely book them again :) read more

Used Neil and his team for my move. They were awesome. I can't recommend using his team enough. Love to support a local company as well.

I contacted Claddagh Moving after a friend's recommendation and they exceeded my expectations. Neal responded quickly, provided me a detailed description of their services along with an estimate, and was impressively efficient in moving all my stuff. On top of all that, both guys who came over were friendly, communicative, and fair in their final pricing (which was in line with their earlier description, so no surprises). I highly recommend their services. read more

Updating my review to say that we worked with Claddagh for a second time, and we were grateful for the same great service on a bigger move. Thanks! read more

These guys were like the Three Stooges. While nothing was dropped down a flight of stairs and everything got to where it needed to go, many things ended up with minor damage, whether gauges in the surfaces of a couple antique side tables or a broken leg on a cheap dresser. They were just careless. The boss, Neal, seemed like he knew what to do with moving but didn't care to do the task well. The other two didn't seem to know what they were doing. One of them just plain wasn't strong enough and grunted and groaned trying to move a 45lb kettlebell by himself. Both the assistants were regularly distracted and not working. At one point Neal was yelling and berating one of them because he was talking to the neighbor. And on top of that, Neal was gaslighting both me and my partner, telling us the scratches we saw weren't real or telling us to just get an almond stick to clean them up. In short... Stay away! read more

They were great! Best price I found. And even though it turned out to be a bigger and more difficult move than they expected, they plowed right on through it until they finished. Oh, and it was a Holiday but they just charged the regular rate. read more

I've done two moves with Claddagh Moving, and both times the service was fast, friendly, and very reasonable in price. The second move was arranged by me at the last minute, and they were very accommodating. Would definitely use again! read more

Claddagh Moving - Movers Near Me

I've used Claddagh 7 times over the past 12 years. Three times for major house moves and four times to move my Bay Area advertising agency. These guys can handle anything. They're industrious, prompt, fair, very careful, work like maniacs to get the job done. I highly recommend them. read more

Neal and Brian did a fantastic job of moving us from Oakland to San Francisco. They arrived early, worked swiftly, and were good sports about everything. Very reasonably priced as well. Will definitely hire them again if I ever move again. Thanks guys! read more

Very happy with the service. My move had a lot of logistics between city parking, stairs, packing only specified items (my rooommate was staying at the original location so many things were staying), and multiple locations that Neal was very accommodating with. He and Brian worked quickly to pack all my things and carry out. Friendly and funny guys and no broken items! Great value for the work provided too. Definitely would hire them again. read more

We had a quick last minute move to make for a relative. Claddagh showed up on time, honored their on-line quote and managed to move furniture out of difficult locations (third floor, narrow staircase). The job was completed in the time frame that was quoted. We would definitely use them again! read more

Neal is a complete professional; he responded to my inquiry in minutes, gave me a really accurate estimate, and tolerated my rescheduling twice, with a smile. He and Brian made moving about as fun as it can be, dealing with several pickup locations, our few fragile items, and awkward disassembled Ikea stuff, all the while joking with us and each other. I hope to never move again, but I'd call Neal again without question. read more

I have used Claddagh Moving twice in the last few years and both times they were amazing. They arrived on time, moved everything quickly and efficiently and were an amazing value for the quality of service. I'd highly recommend Claddagh Moving to anyone in the Bay Area. read more

I've moved and hired all sorts of movers in 7 states for all kinds and sizes of moves. These guys were among the best. On time, good communication, pleasant but no nonsense. Worked hard and quickly, problem solved parking on a narrow San Fransisco street and it was completed as quoted. Will call them again when it's time to move out. read more

I contacted Claddagh Moving looking to move mid-March 2020 just right when the whole covid-19 lockdown started. Neal and co were extremely helpful and friendly, they even moved a piece of furniture for my friend that was picking it up. They were very efficient and mindful of all the furniture. They arrived on time and finished pretty fast and got charged what it was agreed. I will in fact contact them again for a move. read more

Great guys, very friendly and patient. Fast and efficient. Would hire again. Good pricing.

Definitely hiring Neal again! Sweet, responsible, reliable and fast! Brought Brandon to help. Perfect gentlemen! Pet friendly!

Hired the Claddagh Moving in my recent move from SF to Redwood City. I got the quote from Yelp, price is reasonable. Neal is quite responsive during our communication before the actual move. The movers showed up on time on the moving day and efficiently moved the boxes and furniture. Everyone wears a mask during the move and is very polite. Was very happy about the move, however later in the day I found that there are some damages on my items during the move. I contacted Neal and he quickly responded and offered to order a new replacement for the damaged item. Overall experience: 5 stars for good communication, attitude and efficiency. 3 stars for taking care of delicate items during the move. 5 stars for great customer services and taking responsibility. read more

From the beginning, I sincerely appreciated Neal's attentiveness and responsiveness to my requests. Neal and Jamal were timely (early, even), professional, efficient, and friendly. I recommend them highly! Thanks, Yelp for connecting me to Claddagh Moving! read more

Could not recommend these guys more highly! Neil's communication was quick and clear, and he provided a detailed quote so I knew exactly how much I'd expect to be paying. On move day they showed up right on time, asked all the right questions, took great care of my stuff, and on top of it all were just fun to be around! The guys also went out of their way to help me with an extra errand. By far the easiest and dare I say "fun" move I've ever had. read more

I thought I only have 20-30 boxes and just 3 item of furniture. So it'll be an easy job. But as I packed, I realized I have much more items than I thought. I was in panic. I didn't have enough boxes to pack everything. Neal and another person came on time as promised, quickly started working. They were so efficient and I was amazed. In no time, the move was done. I will definitely consider hiring them in my next move. read more

Truly professionals! (Correct me if I am wrong Logan but I believe it was you and Jason's third move of the day!) Even though we started at 5pm on a Friday night but they were ready to move! They are swift and strong it's kind of unbelievable. They were also such good Tetris players! I never hired professional movers before and now I don't think I will ever move without them! read more

My wife and I used Neil and his team today for a move from Oakland to Walnut Creek. We had a really wonderful experience working with them - all of the guys were very hardworking, polite, and just generally good natured to be around. They showed up several minutes EARLY and also showed a great deal of flexibility and willingness to adapt to the situation, as there was street sweeping on my street that day. My wife and I were so grateful for their hard work that we even bought them lunch in addition to the customary tip. If you live in the east bay, you should consider this company for your moving needs. I shopped around at 3 places and they provided the best pricing and flexibility of all the companies I checked out. read more

It's now the second time I've used Claddagh moving to help me with my move. Neil and his team are awesome! Neal and his team were quick, efficient, strong, and good communicators. Neal even helped with packing last items and protecting my tv and monitors. I thought the job would take 6 or more hours with the disassembly and assembly of furniture, but it only took 3 hours. Super fast and highly recommended. read more

They got everything done quickly and efficiently for a fair price even with unexpected inconveniences due to my apartment management.

Great movers! Funny and chill too. Made the move so much easier on me. Nothing went wrong and we finished up in an hour, tops.

My go to guys for moving. Always reliable with reasonable rates. Neil and his guys have moved me and even the ad agency that I worked for multiple times. I wouldn't use anyone else. read more

After moving 5 times in the past 4 years, the one thing I've learned: HIRE MOVERS. Worth. Every. Penny. I'll save you the trouble and let you know that I called all the movers within the area and this is by far the best rate. Neil and team helped us move from our apartment in SF to Oakland. They were punctual, professional, and most importantly, they got the job done and worked fast. When you're paying hourly, that's what you want to see. They never stopped to take a break and kept moving. Furniture was wrapped and loaded quickly. Support small/local businesses! read more

I needed to move out of my apartment quickly, so I decided to hire movers to make the process easier. About a week before my scheduled move, I inquired about Claddagh Moving Company's services. I found that their base quote was the most affordable option among the many places that I called. The owner was great and setting up an appointment was really easy. When the move came, the team moved quickly and handled my items with care. I had a lot of heavy boxes and furniture that they had to carry up two flights of stairs, so I was a bit nervous that the move would take all day. To my surprise, they moved me in about 3.5 hours. Moving is exhausting, and I hope I don't more for awhile, but if I do I would definitely re-hire them. Thanks guys!! read more

Great moving experience. I was apprehensive about the logistics around double parking and getting a ticket, or having my stuff stolen on the street, but none of that happened. The crew worked very fast and efficiently. They anticipated those issues and they tagged team to ensure there was always somebody watching the truck and my belongings. They were on time and communicated regularly leading up to the move and after. read more
