My family has been going here for a few months. Today two of my adult children went in. From the moment they walked in they were being watched a treated as though they were up to no good. When it came time to pay. My daughter clearly stated she wanted to use her card for $40.00 of the purchase an would pay cash for the rest. An older lady asked the cashier "do you know how to do that". So these ladies went back and forth on how it's done. When all is said and done they used her bank card for the whole purchase and COMPLETELY MESSED UP MY DAUGHTERS BANK ACCOUNT, Putting her account way over. Some lady pushing man in a wheel chair tried to intervene and said "I can fix it now I can fix it now" She ended up yelling at my daughter. While 10 different people stood around just watching. A total complete SHIT SHOW !! My daughter now an EMOTIONAL WRECK. Was worried about her account an just wanted to leave. These people treated my disabled family as though they were there to steal an then ended up STEALING FROM MY DAUGHTER..... horrible HORRIBLE PLACE. Would not recommend anyone shopping here. Alright here we go. Decided to stop into Clackamas Feed on 7/14/22 to pick up a couple bales of straw as my usual feed store was currently out and awaiting their delivery. First off, I was taken back by the price-- $16 for a 50# bale was insane to me when other feed stores in surrounding areas run $7 per bale. Way steep, but I paid the price for two bales because I needed straw for my animals. Well, as soon as I get home and pull the bales out of my truck, they quite literally fall apart into a million dusty pieces. Then I realized why each one was triple twined, because I'm pretty sure they just swept up whatever was leftover on the ground after baling and twined it up to try to sell. It is THE ABSOLUTE WORST quality of straw I have ever seen. Pieces were so small that one of the twines had just actually slipped off to the side of the bale as it fell apart and basically just turned into dust. Okay, I get things happen, that's fine. We give them a call a couple days later to ask if there was a way to return these bales as they are completely unusable for us. Girl who answered the phone was apologetic and mentioned that they had a few others call in about the quality of straw and they were aware of it. She then calls the owner to ask about returning and we can hear the owner cackling over the phone saying there's no way she would take it back, especially since we opened it. Well no, definitely didn't open it ourselves, you can actually see the twine still attached.. the bale basically disintegrated on its own. My fiancé asked if he could have the owner call him directly to discuss. "You get what you pay for when you buy straw" Yeah well when I also spend $16 dollars PER BALE, I expect to get a least decent quality straw. Not basically sawdust. The owner's attitude was SO terrible about the entire situation that my fiancé ended up having a few choice words with her. Finally, after basically having a pissing match, she agreed to take back the bales. We couldn't make it in for a few more days, but when my fiancé was finally able to bring them back to the store, we were met with - "If they were SO bad why are you just now returning it?" Well lady, we both do have a full-time jobs AND run a small farm, so being able to drop everything to attempt to bring your sawdust back to you during your open hours is very difficult for us. Lo and behold she threw a fit and didn't let him return them. So now I have spent $32 on what can essentially only be composted as it is completely worthless. I don't know what became of this place. Not sure if the whole expanding and 'rebranding' thing went to their head or what, but they sure aren't that fun farm feed store anymore. Used to come in here all the time and be met with a friendly atmosphere and chat with all the ladies... But now they've apparently crawled up on their high horse and are too good and greedy. Especially since they are fully aware of the sh*t quality they are selling. I spoke with other feed stores after the fact about what they would do in this situation and they immediately said they would take it back regardless, because that's just good customer service. I've purchased a lot of things here over the years, both personal and for work, but now I will never give them my business again and will forever speak badly of their name and turn people away from here. I have to say that if Yelp doesn't allow me to exercise my freedo of speech, then I will assume that it is as communist as the twats below me. I travel almost 200 miles to pick up my dog food from the Clackamas feed store because of the staff and how amazing they are. It's offensive to me to think that someone would say such things about them. I bet money that the people that have reviews like that were just pissed bc they weren't able to use their food stamps to buy things there. This also happened to a friend of mine who was a long time customer and the response from Kelle the owner was "this is America you can shop elsewhere" that is the worst lack of professionalism I've ever witnessed and it's unprofessional to shove political crap on people or ridicule them for wearing masks. I work in healthcare. Spend your day talking to COVID patients all day and you may view it different. Don't give this store any further business. I have come here many times, and really liked supporting a locally-owned business. The last three times, however, confirmed that I won't shop here again. I no longer see the friendly and knowledgeable lady who rang me up many, many times. Now, there are a few folks there who always seem really annoyed that I'm bothering them, seem not to know about animals, or their feeds. Last time the lady said to a woman in the back, with a big sigh, "I hafta go do this order." Yeah, that's MY order, and I'm sorry I'm burdening you with getting it. Ironically, their shirts have "#weappreciateyou" on them. Add to that the boldly displayed "Live Free or Die" and "All Lives Matter" merchandise (which includes profanity), and this liberal country girl (who hunts AND is from a law-enforcement family) is taking her farm dollars elsewhere. Lotsa Land Rovers parked in the lot, too, and since I was the only customer . . . I guess they probably don't need my money. read more

They are very knowledgeable and super friendly here. I've gotten lots of good advice about how to raise my chickens (first time chick mama) and my pullets are thriving. Definitely will continue to shop here as I always come away feeling happier about my decision to get chickens. Also, their prices are cheaper than others for supplies and organic feed. read more

I have frequented Clackamas Feed & Pet Supply despite them slipping trump2020 paraphernalia into my purchases and the sign that reads "We won't enforce that you wear a mask cuz Merica!" Recently I went in while wearing a mask and an employee was really rude to me when she saw that I was wearing a mask! So, being a polite human being, I wrote a respectful email to the establishment. To summarize: "Your store patrons do not wish to be judged or chastised for their clothes, masks, hair, weight, accent or politics (especially when never shared or expressed. Not so much as a bumper sticker). Those that treat everyone equally and with respect wish to be treated that way as well and will seek out businesses that have those professional ethics. The behavior of that one employee, that one day, cost me the comfort of going to a store that I appreciated for treating me and my pets with value and care, with friendly and knowledgeable employees but it also cost you a loyal customer, who is patient and kind and spent a bit of money there on a regular bases. I have never been unkind or rude to your employees and certainly never done anything to deserve the disrespect shown to me by one very inconsiderate and unprofessional employee." I love getting my FARM-FRESH eggs here *they are ALWAYS good and reasonably priced)...However, the cashier/owner of the chickens was not very kind to me especially since I purchase 6-8 dozen per month from her! I entered the store for my "regular" 3 dozen...The owner of the chickens asked if she could help me. I told her I need to buy eggs - she said "$3.50 please" and I told her that I needed 3 dozen - not 1...She glared at me and stated "YOU'RE KILLING ME!!!! You people who want more than 1 dozen at a time!!! My girls are slowing down their production and there are OTHER PEOPLE who want eggs, too!!!" OK, then they should have showed up before me...It's not like it's the first time I have ever showed up at your business and been told the eggs were sold out!! However, it WAS the first time that I have ever been rudely treated at your business!!! I may seriously consider looking elsewhere for fresh eggs... The store is loaded with farm, pet, feed supplies - anything I would think you'd need is here. The products for decorating are cute...and I have wanted many of the items!!! In this time of social distancing due to Covid-19, those of us who are older (68) are always looking for ways to cut our risks. I emailed the business to check on availability of some dog food and bird seed. After checking their stock they got back to me and advised me that they had what I needed and that they could have the order ready for me at my convenience. They took the credit card information and that was it. I pulled up, phoned them to say I was there. They brought out the 170 pounds of food and loaded it into the van, then brought out the credit card slip to be signed. It was on a plastic clipboard that had been sanitized. They also had a sanitized pen, but I had my own. They are really working hard to make shopping and purchases as safe as possible. Their door is open, so if you have to do it, you don't have to touch a handle. Everything was done with minimal contact. Thanks for great service, Kelle and Melissa. read more
