Went on a groupon and it was all absolutely amazing! I didn't finish my 3rd class, but the classes I did take with Fallon and Adam were spectacular! I can see why kickboxing is so addicting. The staff there truly is the best at customer service - they are so so kind! Your first day they give you a rundown of the moves you'll need to know. And I appreciate how this class is one you can go at your own pace and there isn't any sense of judgment from others. It definitely pushed me physically even though I'm generally used to lifting, I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Also, when I was getting my gloves, I was told I could upgrade for only $10 to the fancy boxing gloves instead of the basic ones I got with the groupon and I loved that, so worth it. I'd recommend everyone be able to try this experience! Note, the last time I went there was some construction so you enter through a glass door and go up the stairs and follow the signs to the studio. The new studio is awesome! Much much more space.

Love this gym! I was a total couch potato when I joined in 2018, and I thought it'd be another work-out phase. Instead here I am nearly 5 years (and a whole pandemic) later, still loving every class . I love the high-energy atmosphere and the community aspect -- this is a fun, no-judgement space where your only competition is yourself. Everyone is super supportive, and everyone goes at their own pace, whether you're just getting started or practically a pro. Highly recommend!

My first time trying CKO and I'm addicted! It was an amazing deal to get 3 free sessions if you buy the gloves for $20 +tax. Great opportunity to try out the gym. I was impressed with the professionalism of all staff members at this CKO location. Everyone was great and extremely helpful. It's a very intense workout for beginners or advanced- its all up to you! The one hour class went by so fast because it was fun and didn't feel like a workout. The only negative for me is that they don't have lockers, just cubbies to put your stuff in. I don't trust that my belongings are not locked up. I can't wait to go back to use my remaining sessions.

Today is Wednesday and I am still sore from a class that I took on Sunday morning. I think I'm just super out of shape because CKO didn't seem that grueling. Don't get me wrong - it was definitely challenging, but it still felt doable, which is one of the things I liked about it. I signed up for their triple play deal - $19.99 for three classes (which you have to use within two weeks or so) and a pair of gloves. To sign up, you just have to get there 15 minutes before the class that you want. No need to call ahead or sign yourself up online or anything. The classes are first come, first serve. For a Sunday at 11, the class was about half full. I would say that each class can fit at least 75 people. That was probably my only gripe. The bags are pretty close together so if you have a person next to you, you have to be very mindful of where you're kicking and punching. (Unless you go with someone you don't like - you can kick them and pretend it was an accident. Oops! JK. Kind of.) If you're a beginner, like me, and you have no idea what you're doing, no worries. Get there 15 minutes before class time and they'll give you a quick orientation. They also recommend for beginners to pick a bag towards the middle so that they can see the instructor. I did that and I think that really helped me. Classes are an hour long. Ladies - wear leggings and not shorts because when you need to bring your knees up to the bag, the friction will hurt. Other than that, just try to enjoy the workout. You'll feel accomplished afterwards!

It's also helpful that the front desk employees are so kind and have a smile on their face when you walk in at 7am. Not knowing if my son would even like the classes, I was a bit hesitant to take it on (it's not cheap). Students go 2-3 times a week which, at this age (my son is 4.5), feels like a lot and limits him from trying other things. But, they had a one-month trial that felt reasonable and he ended up LOVING his classes (we added a 3-month membership on in hopes he will continue to stick with it). I do wish there was a once a week class option (at half the price), but this seems to be standard practice, so we're giving it a shot. As for the instructors, they are absolutely amazing with the kids. You can tell they are genuinely having fun. They have fair/reasonable expectations for the students in terms of focus and participation, but they are firm and make clear what is expected. There are almost as many girls as boys in the classes and they encourage everyone equally. They know how to change the class up and make it fun. I feel my son is in a good place based on his enthusiasm and reactions during class. Each class has a similar structure, but different practices and my kid is really enjoying them. I use his belt promotion checklist to my advantage! I was concerned with the MMA connection that the class would be ran by a bunch of meat heads teaching kids to fight, but it's nothing like that...very friendly, positive environment that I am happy to continue exploring.

I started at Evolution in the Fall of 2013 with the intentions of joining the fight team. By the Summer of 2014, I had my first fight with Evolution and won unanimous. Prior to becoming a member at Evolution I had a strong background in Karate & Boxing. However, there were a lot of holes in my game that Brandon quickly fixed. He is excellent at translating information, correcting form, providing motivation, and creating a platform for individuals to grow. Not only did I win my first fight under Brandon, but by 2016 I achieved 5 championship belts and a Gold Medal for Team USA. From originally having an awkward style to becoming proficient in Muay Thai - I would say Evolution is an outstanding place to train. Whether you are training to fight, become fit, build confidence, or learn the techniques - YOU will get all of that accomplished here. The amount of work you invest in your training will reflect. I don't have anything negative to say about this gym, but a response to the reviews that are not 5 stars: 1. If it is your FIRST TIME visiting, arrive on time. 2. The gym is usually HOT when it's crowded. As a person who occasionally travels to Thailand for extensive training - I prefer training in warm facilities to prevent injuries and sweat out sodium. 3. Brandon is comical, but just like any trainer - he knows when to be serious. Training is already tough and can be intimidating to newcomers, so it's important to remember to have fun.
