This is the best nail salon! The ladies here are so accommodating and friendly. They have opened early and stayed late to work around my schedule. The salon environment is nice and doesn't smell too chemically. Most importantly the women working at CK Nails are so talented. I always leave feeling like an Instagram hand model. Jennifer normally does my nails. She is an artist and I'm always so impressed with her work. I also get waxing done here. They are very clean and thorough. I always come out looking and feeling great. I've been going to CK nails for several months now. I've loved every experience I've had there. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

I went to Margaret the first time and she is a lovely person and did a wonderful job. I should have just stuck with her, but she wasn't available on the day I needed an appointment so I went to Joyce (Who destroyed my long, natural, thick nails). She did not want to trim my cuticles at all, but when I asked her to cut them a few times, she kept doing them with a Dremel. So much so that my nails became paper thin. I went back to her a second time and asked her to not Dremel my nails because they became extremely thin and all broke off very deep. So instead, she started taking a nail file and just filing the hell out of every nail bed. She said she was having trouble getting their nail polish off, but I had been to them the last two times so it was whatever they use. In the meantime, I am very sad that my nails are destroyed and paper thin. I'm not even sure If my nails can recover from this. They also nickel and dime you to death. If you want cat eye polish, it's an extra $20, if you want your cuticles trimmed it's an extra $15, everything is extra and adds up very quickly. Received the worst dip mani of my life from Joyce at CK Nails. For context, I had been growing out my nails for *months* and had longer nails than I ever have before when I walked into the salon. I always keep my right pointer and middle finger short, so I had previously filed those two fingers down, and I told Joyce that I wanted as much length as possible on the rest of my nails. Imagine my shock, then, when I realized that Joyce had filed all of my nails down to match my short ones. Months of growth, ruined in seconds. My nails have never looked worse. read more

My boyfriend and I came in as walk ins. They at first were hesitant to accept us but the nail technician that ruined my nails and gave a horrible experience announced she would take me and to set us up. We needed two pedicures and I needed a thumbnail acrylic replaced and gel color change for my nails and toes. I asked if I could use my own color gel I brought and she said yes since I use my own color it would be $10 this later changed to $25 when just a color change on nails with their color is supposed to be $15!!! I have pictures of the nails this technician wanted me to accept. My toes were the only ones I chose my own brought in color for. The technician couldn't even do acrylic and another lady had to step in to put acrylic on my thumb. My nails I wanted pearl white on all fingers except ring fingers. When she started the polish I mentioned it was sheer and I didn't want a sheer color for my nails. She insisted to keep the color that it would look good with another coat. Then she painted my pointer fingers pink when I only wanted my ring fingers pink. Her solution to this was to paint over it with white. This left an awful effect on my nails. When I brought up I was unhappy with the color and how sheer it was, she snapped on me saying I will have to schedule an appointment to come back or I will have to go sit and wait because she has an appointment that she's already late for and doesn't have time to complete my nails. I told her when we walked in she accepted us with full knowledge on what was being asked and requested for services and if she didn't have time she shouldn't have said she'd accept us. She charged me $10 for one broken nail that she didn't even fix, $50 each for pedicures, and $25 for my own gel color on my toes. Making the total $135 I disputed the charges but my boyfriend went ahead and paid. This is a horrible place, dusty, dirty, and rude technicians that can't manage time or properly take care of their clients. I should have known not to book here when no one answered the landline. I booked online and when arrived there were only 2 nail technicians and both had clients. I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before they started my pedicure. The pedicure (I just did the classic) with a gel polish was rushed and I had to ask for her to do a second coat of nail polish. Next was the dip powder nails. They seemed okay at first but at 7 days old they are now chipping and cracking at the ends. Normally my powder dip lasts at least 2 weeks. The pedicure and powder dip was $130.00 without tip so I would expect good quality . Bottom line -GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! read more

This nail salon is dirty and the customer service is corrupt. Examples are company cell phone found in bathroom on top of toilet paper dispenser, layers of dust all over the work areas, and clippers sitting in a cup appearing to not be sanitized properly. I was cut twice after pleading a lady there- Jennifer? (don't know her name but she's always there) not to. A few weeks before that, I had the same lady do a polish change and she said "8 dollars." I said "oh that's affordable I thought it was 10." Then she said "it's 10" and began an argument with me! Finally another lady interjected and told her to charge me the originally stated amount. UPDATE: Myli, your comments are complete lies. I had no cuts before I arrived. Jennifer cut each of my thumbs with her nippers and in fact apologized for them and treated them at the time. You also lied when you said the phone in the bathroom was a clients. It was your phone. This is a perfect example of the brazen disrespect you are giving to me as well as the community and customers as a whole. Your store is a health hazard. The board of cosmetology for the state of Maryland was notified. PS I left the negative review before I came in asking for a refund, btw. ADDITION: here's an excerpt of my report to the health department: Hi there, I would like to report my experience with this salon yesterday 1/7/19. I went in at around 2:45 pm for a regular manicure. I became concerned when I noticed the nail clippers/nippers were all contained in one cup in open air. When she got ready to do my manicure, she pulled one out of the cup. As I am used to my regular nail salon opening a sealed bag and pulling out disinfected and fresh nail items to use on each new client, I asked my nail technician (Jennifer?) if the clippers were clean and she said yes at the end of the night they all get cleaned. I was even more concerned after she cut me twice, once on each thumb. The bleeding was significant enough to drip down my nails and she used a blue liquid to stop the bleeding. I also noticed the area was dusty and grimy as evidenced by debris on the floor and work tables seemed greasy and dusty at the same time also evidenced by visually seeing dust and my wrists sliding on the table. The next day (1/8/2019) I went back to the salon around 2:15p to kindly ask for a refund as my thumbs are now in pain from the cuts. I asked to speak to Myli (the store owner) in private as there were clients there. She said "No talk now". I walked over to Myli and explained my hands were cut and I would like a refund. Jennifer came over to me, took my hand, and showed it to Myli's client. She said since the clippers were clean I will be fine. I told Jennifer to please keep this between us, not clients receiving services. Myli then told me she doesn't offer refunds and saw my negative Yelp review (which I left around midnight last night/early am 1/7-1/8 2019). I told her yes I had and was concerned that the tools are not sanitized properly and now my nails might get infected. Both ladies began to raise their voices and would not allow me speak any longer, so I wished them a good day and warned them I will be calling the Health Department so be prepared (the salon was already cleaned up a good bit since yesterday based off my visual observation of the store). read more

Went here for the first time as part of a wedding party. The staff were so sweet! We basically took over the salon and we enjoyed them interacting with us! The bride booked the salon and the owner texted her to confirm and even bought champagne for us to drink while we did nails! Also, great mani and pedi! Very thorough. I messed up my nails before I left (per usual) and I was going to let it go. They insisted I fix it which meant they had to redo the whole nail. Super sweet!! read more

I can't say enough about this nail salon. The ladies here are just the most polite, professional and friendly there is. I've had Milie work on my nails and each time she's amazing. I went in for a full set of gel nails and came out with man hands. As the woman was shaping my nails after putting the gel on I told her to please make sure they weren't "chunky". Ladies you know what I mean, I did not want them to be really thick. Of course as I feared my nails turned out really square and chunky. I paid, left and stuck it out with those nails for 2 weeks! I have an office job and it was very hard to type and the nails made me look like I had man hands. I went to Top Nails Spa in Hagerstown, MD and they were able to easily "pop" off my nails and commented that they were done incorrectly since the nail tech was able to easily slide a thin file between the gel and my actual nail. DO NOT GO TO CK NAILS FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS!!!!! They say they can do this. THEY CANNOT. My technician applied so much glue you could see it 3 feet away. During the process she tweezed away glue that she got on my skin causing stinging pain, red eyes, and a horrible result. Her remedy was Visine and I have no idea who else's eyes it may have been used on. It looked as if I went to CVS and got fake eyelashes and glued them on with super glue. It took a proper professional 3 applications to get them off!!!! They looked so awful and when I asked CK to remove them they said they didn't have time. These people do not know what they are doing. Don't go to them!!!!! I feel lucky to get out of it without an eye infection and MOST of my lashes. I cannot overstate how bad CK nails is. Save yourself alot of agony and avoid them!!! read more

The place is very clean, all the ladies are super nice and Myli is really gentle on my nails. My gel polish was still perfect after a little over two weeks. I'm often in this area for work, and had struggled to find a great salon until I came to CK nails! From the moment I walked in the customer service was amazing. They were so friendly to me and helped me immediately for my services. I do lashes and waxing here. The whole place was very neat and clean, which I'm always big on at salons and their cleanliness was impeccable! They did an amazing job on my lashes as well on the waxing.
