We've had a very negative experience with Gallatin Valley Furniture and would not recommend them to…read moreanyone, especially for window treatments. We worked with Paul and ordered our Hunter Douglas window treatments in advance to ensure they could be installed once we moved into our new home. Paul took the measurements himself and assured us everything was perfect (we had to rely on his word given we lived in another state). The blinds were installed today and they're the wrong dimensions. They're externally mounted, which is what we wanted - but they don't reach the end of the trim on the bottom or the right sides. Gallatin Valley Furniture has offered to re-measure and replace the window treatments, however, they have not extended a discount for the inconvenience. Given we spent $13,000.00 on window treatments and expected them to be perfect when installed today, this is completely unacceptable. It's bad business. We've pulled our order, requested a refund, and will be working with another vendor for both this home and our new build. We prefer to work with a vendor who values our business.

When we pulled into the empty parking lot, I thought this place was closed. Then my sister pointed out that the neon open sign was lit. So I grabbed my floor and carpet swatches and walked in. Seated behind a desk, was a man on the telephone, who motioned to me to approach. He finished his call and asked how he could help. I showed him my swatches and said that I was looking for 3' x 7' remnant to match them. He looked my carpet swatch, asked how old was this swatch. When I answered it was just a year old, he replied that it was a high-end Karastan carpet and he only sold carpet in 12' widths. I corrected him stating that actually it was Masland, and that I understood him and said other places that I'd stopped by at had remnants of varying widths and lengths. The man stated again that carpet comes in 12' widths, and then added that he didn't mean to be rude but that I had come in with a speciific request and he was telling me that he only had carpet in 12' widths. Finally I answered, "Right, that's fine. And you are rude!" As i turned to leave he called out, "i do have some remnants over here to the right ..." (just I had come in for). Of course I kept on walking while resisting a strong temptation to flip him off. It's no wonder that the parking lot is empty. No or rude service=no customers!

I have patronized this welding shop twice now, and both times I have been extremely pleased with…read moretheir service but most of all their professional work. The first project I had them do was to repair severe damage to an old Schwinn Stingray bicycle frame. Previously I had brought it to one other welding shop in town (the one on Story Mill and Bridger Canyon) and they said they couldn't do much at all to repair it. However, one of the fellows at Midwest took a single look at it and said, "yep, no problem. We will have it done tomorrow." When I got it back, it looked like brand new. The most recent project I gave them was the mounting of a custom fiberglass motorcycle seat onto an old Honda motorcycle. The previous owner who had the seat made for the bike had removed several key parts from the frame for the seat to be mounted, and there was no hardware on the seat itself to be attached to the non-existent mounting points on the frame. To say the least, this was a tricky problem and multiple ways to solve it. When I picked the bike up after they were finished, they had exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Im not going to get into the details of how they did it, but it was done with careful consideration as to design, safety, style, and the price limit I had set. Hell, they even powder coated the parts they added to match the color of the original frame. This was a truly masterful job they did. Though all this quality work comes at a hansom price tag, but for the product and service it is worth it. I will definitely be returning to them if I need anymore work done.
