They told me they would charge me a $75 fee to come out and then it would be $35 per door knob to be rekeyed that is ridiculous charges. I would recommend anybody using Daryl's lock and key he has been in business 50 years and he is very considerate on his charges definitely a five-star company. People beware don't believe the reviews you read. Zero Stars. Yelp wouldn't allow me to post zero stars. Reluctantly gave 1 star

    Do not call this guy! If I could give less than one star I would. Do not employ this locksmith. He…read more committed fraud and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I do not say this lightly about fraud, being an attorney. We employed Brandon to install a Lockly Vision Elite on our door. This nightmare started on May 31,2023 when we were charged $536.25 for the Lockly Vision Elite. He claimed that the product was not available and could not do the install until July. My husband and I thought this was odd but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. My husband would call and text Brandon and he would never respond. He finally arrived at our house on July 3, 2023 after my husband repeatedly called and texted him. He said he was involved in a car accident that day which is why he was late (Now looking back, I think he was lying.) Brandon did a horrible job installing the lock. First, the handles of the door were crooked and the door was not closing easily. He advised my husband that there was a missing "plate" for the door that he did not have with him and would have to come back later to install it. My husband asked why the current locking system would not allow us to open the lock with our iphones, which is feature on the Lockly Vision Elite only. Brandon stated that this "plate" he needed to bring would allow us to have that feature. Since July 3, 2023, after the date of the initial install, my husband kept calling Brandon and texting him to find out when the job would be completed. He did not respond at all. He left our door looking horrible with holes in it and the portion of the lock and bolt system in the inside of the door was causing our door to catch when you opened it. Last Monday, July 17, 2023, our door became completely stuck. We could not open or close it. My husband and I were extremely angry. Since Brandon was not answering my husband's texts or calls, I decided to call him. A woman answered the phone and was speaking to me in a accusatory fashion as if I was having an affair with him. I repeatedly asked to speak to Brandon and she wanted to know why? I stated he was working on a job and I needed to speak to him. She said, "what job?" I finally got to speak with Brandon and told him the situation. He said that he was doing a job in "San Diego" (he was always in San Diego) and was sorry about the door and could come on Wednesday morning to fix the problem. He also said he had the other "plate." On Wednesday morning, he texts my husband and says he can't come until Thursday, but Friday would be better for him. Being extremely irritated and mad, I tried calling him again and texting him and no one answered or returned our texts. I told my husband that if we did not get a response from Brandon by the end of Thursday, we needed to find someone else to finish the job, which we did. We found a local locksmith who came out and looked at our door and said that it was one of the worst install jobs he had ever seen in his 40 year career. My husband asked about this additional "plate" that needed to be installed to allow our iphones to open the door. The new locksmith said there wasn't another plate and the system was already installed. My husband gets the box that the lock system came in and it turns out, Brandon charged us $536.25 for the Lockly Vision Elite, but we ended up getting just the Lockly Vision which is worth only $399.00 if that. This whole time Brandon was lying about the product he bought us and was just stringing us along! This is a horrible company run by Brandon who committed fraud. Their website is dishonest, none of their 800 numbers work, there is only one person doing the jobs (poorly) and they do not service our area, although they claim to. He charged us $875.00 for service and install and the veteran locksmith fixed our door and did the proper install for $375.00. If you want one of the worst service experiences of your life then call Brandon, but if you want a job completed competently, timely, and with great customer service, find an experienced local locksmith.

    REPOSTING DUE TO BUSINESS OWNER HIDING REVIEW! (That Should…read moretell you the Full Story!) Think twice before hiring this Company to do any work at your home or place of business. The Owner is in debt up to his eyeballs. He does not pay his own bills. They rented a home from us and lied about being under the Executive-Order-N-33-20-COVID-19. All the while working through the mandated "Shelter in Place" just so he didn't have to pay us rent. He still owes us over $4500.00  in back rent. This is our small business. We are not in the business of real estate to pay to house any family. The family left our house in ruins. Dogs and (Cats.. which they never disclosed to us) chewed the drip system, and urinated all over the interior carpets of the house. We have since had to replace all the flooring. If the owner of this business conducts himself in that manner, what type of businessman is he? What will he do in your home? He has so many aliases and different business in the years. I don't know how he keeps up with it all. The wife bounced checks all over Atascadero when hiring cleaning personnel. Luckily we found another company that specializes in window shades to come in and fix everything for us. Mark, you are threatening legal action because of my 100% truthful and accurate Yelp review? We had a very negative experience using your company. So we are entitled to leave a Yelp review like this. If you'd prefer, I can remove this review and just post photos of the very sloppy work that you charged us $50,000 for.
