First time here. Really nothing bad to say. Food was outstanding. Service was great and prompt!

My husband and I came here for a night out. Our friends had told us about an awesome drink special that they had, and we figured it was a good opportunity for a mommy/daddy date night. I'm not normally one to post a yelp review about anything, and I thought about it for a long time. However, I finally decided I wanted to say something. We were having a good time, drinking when we heard a man who was bald with a beard (who i presume was a manager (and/or owner) yelling at one of the employees. It took so much in me to not go up to him myself. He was disgusting to this young woman, rude and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I will never go back to this establishment, as I do not agree with the way this man was treating the woman at all, especially in front of customers, clearly loud enough so that we could hear him. read more

I used to go here all of the time for Wednesday all you can eat crab legs. The legs were huge. You got plenty of them and the price was almost half what it is now. Last night they ran out of the crab legs at 7:30. What they had was much smaller legs. I think they were scrapping the freezer. Won't be back. I've been here on different nights at various times, parking or seating has never been an issue. If it isn't super hot outside, it's nice to sit upstairs on the deck. The restuarant downstairs has comfortable seating and there is a bar side with karaoke and a dj on various nights. You can't go here expecting to dine at The Whitney. This a basically a bar with an extended menu. I've almost always ordered the Sante Fe Chicken Pasta dinner (yummy) and my bf gets a burger w/ fries. We have never been disappointed. I wouldn't order a specialty drink, it seems their drink making abilities are limited. Everyone there is pretty friendly. Some info I'd like to add... they allow smoking on the deck :( not cool for people who are dining.. it is against the law now anyway.. Whoever CJ is, he must not care!! read more

Not super impressed. Came by during a slow period on a weekend. The door was being propped open with a newspaper for the smokers clumped outside, blech. Inside was cheerful enough, if a little messy. We were waved upstairs, and we found a cute table on the deck, with a little fireplace. A server arrived after a short delay. We ordered a pizza for the table and a couple of beers. The pizza was edible enough, although not memorable. The beer selection was adequate. Unfortunately, the service was pretty poor. The worst of it was when our server informed us on our second drink order that she was 'tired' of going downstairs to fetch our beers and that we would have to fetch them ourselves if we wanted more. There was a bar a few feet away which apparently was not equipped? In any case, it was a poor showing and I see no reason to bother. read more

I will never support this restaurant they are racist they have issues with people from Pontiac of color I have been there and got jumped by the workers a friend of mine had his head hit and it had to have immediate surgery at The hospital they pushed us out from the upper deck and as we were walking in every one looked at as if we were out of place I have no reason to lie I don't understand why these issues still exist they pushed me and my friend out of the upper deck we did not have a clue what was going on downstairs we ran for our life as we were trying to get out we got pushed fell to the ground. I don't get here often enough, but I enjoy it every time I do. I LOVE that they put refried beans on the quesadilla. Portions are great and on par with prices. Great bar vibe, great bartenders. Food comes out in a timely manner and is hot and consistent. Everything I've had is really good. Drinks are a good pour. Definitely a great place to eat and drink with friends read more

This place most always seems like an abandoned bar/restaurant. It's huge, with two levels, and even an outdoor deck and on a very busy stretch of M-59....but everytime I go it's...crickets...crickets...crickets.. I stopped in for a quickie (hey now!) with my friend...FOR LUNCH!...geeezze... He had a burger, and I had a chicken wrap....AAaaaannnndddd... It was actually pretty good! No complaints here.. :-) I've been before for drinks..it was okay.. Not sure what's happened here...didn't it used to be called Peppi's?? I remember going once...it was hopping then... I don't know. Stopped by CJ's today and was not impressed at all. We were told to sit wherever we wanted, so we did. It took about 10 minutes to get a menu and I ordered a Diet Coke and was served a water. We were given Mother's Day menus and told we could only order from that while all other tables were ordering from the full menu. We were going to leave, but then were offered the full menu. My steak was ordered well-done and it was very burnt and dry. My wife ordered a burger with fries and the fries are different from what they used to serve and a much smaller portion. The old fries were much better... All around this was my worst visit to CJ's. We might try it again down the road, but it won't be on the top of our list as it has been in the past. read more

Went for the "All you can eat Crab Legs" on Wednesdays (yesterday). We got there around 7 and the place was not packed at all. We were able to sit almost where ever we wanted. Note: there is a required 18% gratuity and a one beverage minimum on top of the $26.99 cost for the crab dinner where you get a soup or salad, single corn and roasted potatoes. The buffet is over at 9pm. Our servers name was Ashley, she was very nice and attentive, I give her five stars. I've also had other items here before; there burgers are great, the fries are great and the macaroni and cheese is good too. I've gotten this for my son off the kids menu and the portion is enough for an adult. I gave four stars because of the cost of dinner and all the requirements to take advantage of the all you can eat crab. Other than that, I like this place and I will continue to patronage due to the good food and service. read more

The all you can eat crab was just okay for being as expensive​ as it was. Our Waitress did a really good job at keeping us replenished with hot crab, but other places that are much nicer charge the same amount for better quality crab. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I wld...let's see....a app combo plate came out that no one ordered when we told the server it wasn't ours she insisted it was and said well I wrote it down :-0 well u wrote it wrong sweetheart...mgr came over and removed it from the check. I had the mussels there werent hot but had flavor (that's the one star) Bone in wings came out as boneless...our food was sat at the end of the table instead of to the person who ordered it...we asked for a round of waters 3 times as well as sliver ware and napkins..and they are unaware of what a double shot is :-/ We got up to take pics for my friends bday hence the reason I'd drive all the way from Detroit....the inexperienced nervous server took my friends food away without asking if they were finished or wanted boxes! Now they don't want to own up to it..I've never been thru shit like this at a bar! Needless to say I'll never visit this place again... read more

The atmosphere is really nice it's a great place to grab a few drinks especially on the upper deck during the summertime. Service is always speedy and friendly. I gave three stars for a few reasons. First the pricing is a bit high for what you get, food and alcohol wise. Secondly the kitchen has messed up my food not once but twice. I ordered the Ahi Tuna which is suppose to be served raw first time it was cook a bit to much, I ate it but requested it raw my next visit. I recieved a fully cooked Ahi Tuna. Also ordered a side salad add feta cheese and I got no cheese. I'm a server so I understand things happen but it's just disappointing that they've happened repeatedly. read more

This would be a great place to run a restaurant. It looks nice, anyway. I went there under recommendation by somebody else and every time I have gone either the service is horrible or the food is, or both. The last time we went there for "all you can eat" crab legs. When my girlfriend ordered that, they told her that ended at 9pm- hm that's not on your huge signs outside. She ended up ordering crab legs, and got legs that smelled and tasted like dishwater, and she found black meat- when we informed the manager, he had the audacity to argue that it's supposed to be that way. Really? Never seen that before in my life. This establishment is being run as cheaply as possible, at the expense of the customer. Serving bad and possibly dangerous food and arguing about it is inexcusable. I'm not going back until the place changes ownership. In case you're wondering, it's still Peppi's, they just changed the name hoping to evade a bad rep. read more

A neat bar to be at in Waterford. The parking may seem a little funny when you first arrive and it's certainly not enough spaces died the amount off people they're capable of holding. The amount of space and tv's they have is adequate to any sports bar you could go to. The fact that they have an outside deck upstairs is a nice touch but it's only certain portions of their upper deck, not the whole thing. I tried their appetizers and they weren't bad. My server was slow, especially for how dead they were on a Friday night. read more

Held my son's rehearsal dinner here on Thursday July 7th and had outstanding service! We had the upstairs to ourselves and 2 tables outside for 41 guests and 4 wait staff that were more than prompt and courteous. We had buffet service with 3 dinner entrees and all my guests raved about the food.. Especially the ribs!! We had drink tickets which were not all used and we received credit for the unused tickets! Much to our surprise our leftovers were boxed up and given to us - this worked out great for our after party!!! Julian was more than accommodating to setting up our dinner and making sure it was great! All our guest had a great time and loved the food!! Book your party here!! We had a great time!! DO NOT GO to this dive bar! The management does not care if you have seafood allergies and cross contaminates all the food on the all you can eat crab legs nights, or any night for that matter. Happened to a friend that got a burger. And to think the hostess mentioned to us "be careful then" after she told us of the crab legs special that night and we told her a person in our group was allergic to sea food and we did not want the special. The be careful response was very odd because the bar is the one that should be careful since it's preparing the food, not the customers. Obviously she knew of the issue and that was almost like a warning! A friend the next day called to notify management/staff and the response was "well maybe your friend should not go to a place that offers sea food then". Brilliant response!! Great customer service, blames the customer for its lack of cleanliness and food prep guidelines. Never again and one day someone will really get sick and sue your dive bar! read more

We came at dinner time. Food was excellent. Drinks were great and affordable. I had the French Dip and the steak was thinly sliced with no fat. Service was great. Sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the view. Although the street was right below us it was not too loud. I recommend this place for dinner. read more

Wed is AUCE crab legs. I ate until I hurt myself!!! They keep them coming without you asking & the service was great! You have to purchase a beverage & they add gratuity automatically. Some of the clusters were cold or overcooked but they were good for tje most part. It comes with soup or salad, bread, rosemary potatoes & corn on the cob for $35. Pretty good deal. read more

This place is not the greatest. They say one thing and do another. The waitresses seem a little ditzy or do not care about their service. The security is very bad. They are rude and seem like they are just dumb muscle. Food is ok but lots of places are way better for food. Would not give this place the time of day ever again. When they try to hire people they do and say somethings that are illegal to be doing when hiring. Telling someone they do not have the look to work there and asking them to work for free for 5 shifts to train. Not to mention they are constantly hiring because there is such a high turn around. this is the first time i've been here since it changed over from peppi's. my experience was so so. there is a deck, it is nice and there are heaters for when the sun goes down and the music was good until a DJ set up and started playing random weird music no one has ever heard before. the bartenders and wait staff seem new and unsure of what to do. it took me 15 minutes to order, get and pay for my drink. it should have taken 2. every time the waitress brought us another drink she had to ask 'what name is your tab under'. just write it down!! also, when someone at the table ordered another drink a good waitress usually checks with the rest of the table to see if they need anything. here they just take the one persons order and walk away. i also witnessed a bartender arguing with a women about her drink. the customer claimed the drink was 'weak' and the bartender was disagreeing with her and said she put a shot in it. she offered her another shot of whiskey in the drink but at the price of $3. she declined and left. their website says there are $2 mixed drinks from 9-10, this was NOT the case! friday night after 9pm was 'ladies night' and all drinks were $3. the place was pretty dead except for the patio and we were pretty much the only ladies in the place, it was 80% men. the drinks were in small plastic cups, tons of ice and weak as hell! and before 9pm they were really overpriced at about $4.75 for a captian morgan and diet coke. they also charged 50 cents for a 'splash' of lemonade. cheap cheap cheap! the menu was HUGE. too much stuff. i shared 2 things with my friend. the CJ's chicken wrap was good as were the seasoned fries. the nacho's not so much. the cheese wasn't really melted too well, it seemed like it was stuck in the microwave then lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese were thrown on top. overall this place sucks, it's the same owners as when it was Peppi's and it had a bad wrap then and it will probably continue even though the name has changed. don't stop here unless you are dying to have a drink on a patio. read more

I love the drink specials on Thursdays and Saturdays...2-1-2 Basically this is how it works... $2 Mixed drinks from 9-10pm (Virtually almost anything you can think of...I drink 7 and 7 and they actually use Seagram's 7 and not some knockoff whiskey) $1 Beers from 10-11pm $2 Mixed drinks again from 11-12am You just can't beat the deals they offer here. Plus the patio is great, it's even packed in the winter time with 6" of snow. I prefer to hang out on the patio in the summer though and relax by the bonfire pits. Great food too. read more

The food here is pretty good, but I love that I can sit out on the deck. I don't know what it is about eating outside, but it makes eating more fun and enjoyable. The only thing I was disappointed about when I ate here was that they were out of every beer I asked for, and ended up just drinking a pop. The service wasn't bad at all, but definitely wasn't above and beyond the average. I would like to go back and try more food and hopefully have some of the beer I originally wanted. Then months later it seems like an ok option... until I sit down for their ultra slow & awkward service, & get my plate of disappointing food. It's not the greatest but not the worst. If you're in town I wouldn't suggest this place because it attracts the "wild college crowd" upstairs. in the day it's nice but once the night falls the scene quickly changes. The beer prices are normal as any other local bar. The drinks are made with pre-bought mixes and are not fresh. And they allow people to smoke upstairs. Downstairs is more calm but every time I ate down there I never had a waitress. I had to go to the bar and order my food and even my soda. And then the bartender seemed scared I was going to tell a manager so she gave us 2 free drinks and an appetizer which we did enjoy. The food was ok. It was normal bar food. Onion rings and burger. I probably will never return. My experience wasn't bad although it wasn't good. I've had plenty of good experiences at other places that are the same price with a better staff. read more

After much debate I finally came here. It's a summer night and the deck was open. Andrea was our server, and everything was amazing. We got a sampler and everything was completely fresh and very hot. A good thing! The margarita was fantastic the beer was good and we got a pretty good pour of whiskey for me. The music was good too! Was here about a week ago. The upstairs was an extra charge., had loud rap music blaring, & people stumbling downtown the stairs. The drinks are decently priced, however I ordered a vodka Redbull and had to purchase the entire can of Redbull, at over 4$. I just ordered a Second shot and made my own drink, but still... Seems strange. I've never experienced that before. In anycase - the atmosphere was clubby,. With lots of patrons very visibly drunk. Yikes. read more

The appetizer was decent. Our food on the other hand was not. The chicken wrap was tasteless and the chicken was dry. The outback burger was okay, but the burger lacked in flavor. Also seemed like the burger was low quality. We even had to cancel part of our order because the service was slow. They "forgot to order" the other chicken wrap. I used to really love this place, and went here often until we went for crab leg night. When we got our bill, it was much much more than the menu price. We spoke to the manager, Julian who was beyond rude, and instead of working with us on the price, threatened to call the police. I will never go back here. Be careful to confirm price before you order, they have tiny asterisks * on the menu that says price is subject to change without notice. So glad I used my American Express, and they took care of me. read more
