Who knew it would be so hard to find a sit down restaurants around town at 11PM at night. This place is excellent - they close at Midnight 6 days a week! Nice! The restaurant was very clean upon entering and there were a few patrons inside. Some were a little intoxicated from the local bar scene, but they weren't annoying. The waitress was very friendly and took our order fairly quickly. She was busy taking orders at the drive through and taking care of people inside - they only had 1 waitress. We did get one soda refill, one more would have been nice..., The food was good. There is a Coney Special on the sign for $1.88, but the restaurant has a coney called the Coney Special, so be careful with that. The Coney Special on the menu is $4, but it did have a lot of chili on top. The ground beef around the hot dog was very wet and made the bun very soggy. It was ordered without onion. One person in our group ordered the Chicken Gyro Pita. She said it was good and she really liked the cucumber sauce. It did have a lot of lettuce, which she said added to the taste of the pita. She added a side of chili cheese fries, and and said those were good as well. The Club Sandwich is pretty large here. It had large hunks of turkey and ham on it. The bacon was a little chewy and didn't have a ton of flavor. All in all it was a good sandwich. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were good - they had a nice crisp and tasted fine. The fish was a little soggy and did not taste the best. That is probably my fault for ordering fish after 11PM... Luckily they gave me a big cup of tarter, which helped quite a bit. M1 Grill does charge a fee for using a credit or debit card. I typically have cash on me, but this time I had to use my card. Ugh! I wouldn't hesitate coming here for a late night sit down restaurant - I will just remember to bring cash next time. read more

The food is excellent, when you can receive it. Long story short, ordered food through Uber. I never received the food. The order was refused to be remade. Fortunately, I was able to recover the payment through contact with Uber Eats. There was no care to keep a customer on the part of the restaurant. They will not miss my business. Glad to know it. Was dropping off a friend at the train station in Pontiac. We had breakfast there. Wow! I had a coney omelette. It was better than what I've had at National Coney Island! When this restaurant first came to Pontiac, I was very pleased. Their service and customer service was top-notch, but since they've been here for a few years, and after the pandemic with COVID the prices are extremely high and the chicken is filled with some type of fat filling.. It's not real chicken. I always get a wing snack or winging dinner, and I was highly disappointed if I do go there ever again it would be only because nothing else is available. They never put the amount that you're being charged for on the receipt. Just the total amount. When we stopped here for lunch I was a bit skeptical as it looked like a closed down Hardee's. Once inside the menu had a ton of different food items on it from Mexican to Greek to Chinese so I thought no way could they be good at all those food items. How wrong I was! They only had one waitress working the two drive through windows, the front counter, and the tables. There were only one other occupants at one table when I arrived. On January 18,2024, I ordered breakfast. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and buttered toast, and coffee. The meal arrived and I noticed there small portions of the hash browns. The bacon were 4 very thin and narrow slices equivalent really to Two slices. How they managed to keep each slice from curling up was magic. When I finished eating, I was hoping to get a coffee refill because she never offered during my meal, even though she waited on a customer next to my table . I wanted to give the waitress a chance to offer. This is how I determined how much to tip. I tried in vain to get the waitress attention but to no avail, even though she had to pass close by to service two other tables of new customers. Finally getting up and walking up to the counter to get my bill of $15.84, I noticed that a tip had been automatically included of $2.84. There wasn't anyway not to pay the tip. The building is non-descripit as you drive by. Do NOT be fooled! The food is elaborately displayed and the quality is top notch! I absolutely love fried fish and onion rings and I've eaten them at far more restaurants than I can even fathom counting and this place blows them all out of the water. I am just leaving and one grill in Pontiac Michigan. I ordered breakfast special. M1 grill has A multi grain bread. Today I got multi grain bread with mold. I called and told them I had mold on my bread. I guess because they are in the inner city they think that they can serve food that is moldy. The fact that you can get a cheaper breakfast in Birmingham than here is sort of odd to me. I don't know why the person creating the prices here thought this was a good idea or how, but they are way too high for a diner. $9 for two eggs? 15 for a skillet? 15 for crepes? 9 for cheese fries? I mean really? It's Pontiac. It's a diner. Don't forget that you pay for the wings and then another $3 for the Buffalo sauce. It's just really weird to me and greedy. You can get better quality food for less down the road in any direction. If it was priced well then I'm sure they'd have a lot more business. Oh well. The drive through is a huge bonus! This is where my husband and I go when we don't have time to cook during the week and it's too late to go out somewhere. The location right off of Woodward makes it really easy to get to. While we've never been inside for a sit-down meal, we've always been very satisfied by the food quality and service at the drive through-- and don't be intimidated by the location! It's great!
