Starting several years ago, Mrs E and I would end up here on a Friday, at least twice a month. Then we started working out of town and haven't had the opportunity to revisit. Tonight, the dirty half dozen got together and listened to me for a change. Our group has singers, strummers, pickers and dancers; so I figured this would work for everyone and in the end, I got all thumbs-up. The menu is solid with some great seafood selections. Pizza, sandwiches, steaks and a terrific short rib linguini! I really haven't found a weak link in the menu. Pro Tip: Take care when ordering the Nachos Grande appetizer, it's more than a full meal! We came here to pre drink and watch the Spartans sadly lose to OSU before attending a nearby fundraiser. Rhey open at three and have a great happy hour from 3-7. This was the first time that I have sat inside. The upstairs deck is sl much fun in the summer time. The inside is that of a casual slightly nicer than dive bar atmosphere. The food is typical bar food. Nothing to go crazy over. They did have a lot of door dash orders being picked up though. There were mostly regulars at the bar but several large groups of people came in. There were a lot of spots for larger groups to hang out. The bartender was nice and attentive. I do prefer to come in the summer and hang out on the deck though. If you're in the area check it out! read more

I went to CJ's years ago, and it did have a reputation at one point, but as a former bartender and vet patron in this area I will tell you that not only did the new owners do an amazing job with the new menu (and the food is SO GOOD!!) but they also hired the best staff. David made our night. This is the 4th time we've been back since the new owners took over and while I was unsure before, David completely changed my mind. He is the bartender you come back for. I would have given this bar MAYBE 2 stars before the new owners toon over/new staff were hired and now I give it a full on 5 stars. I really wish I could give them a zero for my visit tonight, asked for all flat wings and was given 1, the rest were all drums! I hate drums. NO THEY DO NOT TASTE THE SAME. I called the restaurant and was told they ran out, I asked why didn't anyone call to tell me I would've gotten something else and the alleged manager was extremely condescending. The sad part is I was there on Tuesday and dinned in asked for hot wings and was given 3 drums and 3 flats! I can live with that. The pizza was great and the potato skins were delicious as well. Went out for crab legs. The meal was Way over priced. There was only one waitress who was impossible to find. For what they are charging they should have been more responsive. Finally gave up on refills, but at $80.00 per meal i was hoping for all you can eat. Crab legs were over cooked. They appeared to be soaking to long in water. Very disappointed for the cost. Only one word to describe this place: bizarre. At least for the restaurant portion. The after hours part might be fun, but at least for dinner, it has an odd vibe. I know they were doing things by the book, and I appreciate that, but it was 19 degrees out and the tent was open on each end. They said the health department had been by and said it had to be that way. We were one of 3 tables on the deck, so when the others left, we sat and moved the floor heater blowing on us. Eventually, the wind shut the end flaps and it got warm. Food was Nachos and they were delicious - get you some! And I had Mr. Blue Sky and enjoyed it even in a plastic cup! read more

Wow. My wife saw the "all you can eat crab legs" sign. So. We had to try it. Only on Wednesday. $47 plus tip. I think it's from 5-9pm. Wow. Good. Delicious and big legs! A little salty but good. Very nice restaurant, not busy when we stopped in at 730 pm Saturday. Guess customers were still on their Boats? Lol or after 10 pm it gets crazy busy. I'm sure they're busy every day of the week , such as after work, karaoke Nights Country Nights, rock and roll nights according to the waitress. The walls have different TVs with different sport activities on them, an area by the pool table has all different mirrors with different sport teams according to my pictures. A GREAT establishment, WITH nice waitresses, fast food, great food service, right off of Huron Street outdoor activity upstairs a patio to view the traffic or just to unwind all year round weather permitting. My pictures show 3 mini sliders and onion rings delicious. A farmer's Burger made with hamburger pulled pork a sunny-side egg bacon lettuce tomatoes pickles and thick Texas toast bread, got to have a great appetite to eat that cuz it was filling. French fries were very good hot crispy seasoned. Didn't drink any alcohol so I couldn't describe that. I had lemonade but it was very sour very tart a little too strong. Tables are made out of really thick wood like from up North from trees really rustic but a nice place. My fiancé and I have been going to cj's every weekend for about six months. Two weekends ago the security man came up to my fiancé and told him that if he didn't start spending money he wouldn't be allowed back, he even told him he was going to start charging him $3 for water. We go for the music and dancing and always buy a couple non alcoholic drinks while we're there. This past Saturday night we got there and security was waiting at the door and tomy fiancé, not me, that HE is no longer allowed here according to management. We asked why and were told because HE doesn't spend money. We ask for the manager and were to he wouldn't go get him for us. Nothing wad ever said that I could go in just my fiancé. I have been to Cj's a few times but have never seen Riley as the bartender. Riley was unbelievably rude, made our drinks wrong FOUR TIMES in a row, gave me the worst attitude every time I had to send my drinks back. I also saw her being rude to other customers first hand. The drinks were good but they were very watered down unfortunately, I had 4 drinks and wasn't even a little bit buzzed and IM A LIGHT WEIGHT trust me lol 2 drinks and I'm usually done. So we spent over $50 buck just in drinks to not be even a little tipsy which is very BORING when that's the goal ‍. I went to cjs Upper Deck very racist I was sitting at the bar minding my own business by myself security came up to me after I been sitting there 5 mins said I had to leave for no reason at all. Some people who was also in the bar stepped in and asked security why he was harassing me I haven't been causing any issue and that I just arrived that was the first time. Second time I went gave them second chance me and my white friend both got out the same car smoking the same weed he lets him walk by into the bar which he is a white guy and told me I had to step outside and couldn't come in till i aired out. We rolled into CJ's while bar hopping in the area. I was impressed with the lower level, however the "upper deck" was pretty mids if you ask me. Just a bunch of young kids with E cigs dancing extremely inappropriately. The flashing lights were beyond distracting, and the amount of bass coming from the DJ booth made it impossible to have a conversation without using some sort of voice amplification device such as a megaphone. Rather than stand around watching these kids dance and wonder what their parents would think of it, I decided to get the pool table for us. I was greeted by some sort of fake tough guy who informed me "$5 per game man." to which I responded by stepping on his off brand timberland boots and passing gas as I walked in the other direction. I found it convenient how I was offered a $4 shot multiple times while waiting to pay my tab. Where was this service when I actually wanted a drink? Needless to say I would recommend the "Upper deck" to someone who likes to wear snap back hats on the very top of their head and order a side of mozzarella sticks only to take a few bites, spill a ranch cup, and leave half of them sitting on an open table where another group of people could be sitting. I've been coming here for years especially over the summer and it seems each time I go back the customer service is worse. I called before going to make sure the kitchen was still open she checked and said yes, come on up. I live in the area, did not take long to get there. We sit down and immediately says we have five minutes to make a decision for food, doesn't give us menus at first, than HOVERED over us with a PHONE FLASH LIGHT IN OUR FACES to "see the menu better" and waited for us to order. He waiter said if you want drinks I'll need to see ID with an attitude which obviously would we show... he gave us a drink menu and NOT even 5 MINUTES... he came back to our table multiple times asking if we were ready, we didn't even get a CHANCE to look at the menu. The whole time we felt rushed when we just came to relax and get some food and drinks. Even getting the bill and finishing our drinks he just kept staring at us waiting to see if we put payment down... completely unacceptable and I will not be returning anymore. My wife and I have been here many times and the waitresses are always great; bartenders, not so much. They seem to have their regulars that they treat well... So we always get a table now. My third time back within the last two months, the bartender Kerri has a bad attitude, and I feel like this is the same bartender with a bad attitude from bar Louie in auburn hills. I did a carry out of the blackened steak bites, and two orders of house potatoes. The guy on the phone told me it would be ready in 10 minutes, I was there within 15 minutes, to be greeted by Kerri at the bar who brought my food right over. While checking my food before paying i realized both orders of potatoes looked dry, so I tasted one, and they tasted like dry old French fries. So I asked her if she could have them remade, there wasn't even any rosemary on them. And she tried to blame me, saying that the order had been sitting there, I'm like no it hasn't. Then she had the nerve to ask me when I placed the order, which at that point was only 20 minutes ago. Very professional, don't blame me. -____- and this time the potatoes came back, very over cooked and crispy. This place discriminates service dog that help people with disabilities. The owner kicked me out and said very disrespectful word towards me after rushing at my dog and i. I even told him to stop approaching but he did not listen. After i tried calmly explaining the service dog is still working he lost all reasoning and his employees put their hands on me and pushed me out, again i have disabilities. Im looking to take proper actions to make sure this never happens again. read more
