Service Requested: Bathtub and toilet backup We had a stressful situation Saturday morning when our bathtub and toilet backed up and the water level kept rising. CJ Plumbing (John and Cezar) responded quickly and arrived within about an hour to help us on the 8th floor. They ran a snake five times through the sink and five times through the tub, and when that didn't resolve it, they used a camera inspection and confirmed the pipes were clear. The only concern noted was the placement of the PVC pipe. Quality: Thorough and professional. They explained everything clearly. Value: Fair for the time, effort, and quick weekend response. Stay away from this crooked company. They installed new pipes and valves but connected parts that made the pipes/parts corrode. I wouldn't have known this until a plumber from another company who was working on another area pointed this out to me. I could have easily ended up with a flood damaged house and a huge clean up bill if I wasn't alerted. read more

Good team, quick communication once you've been communicating already, seems like they cover the whole island, good customer service in person, don't seem to waste time, respectful, hardworking. Not sure about their pricing because they worked with our property manager. Only 4/5 stars is due to some difficulty setting up a scheduled time in advance for plumbing work. Basically had to stay by my phone for a week and then was told what time they would come 2 days later. But it worked out and I'm glad they came. Ugh- weird water dripping so suspicious of water leaking every time someone uses the sink at moms. House is haunted at 100+ years old. Okay everybody stop using this sink please. Lets keep the wood rot to a minimum. After making an appointment with CJ admin. We were scheduled within 5 days. Another place was booked until March. They arrived about an hour after the quoted time/ thats okay-it was ugly with a thunder storm outside. So hard the rain and areas had power outages on the island. After seeing the problem/15mm hole in the pipe from age. Lee went to Home depot to get the part. Quickly got the part and installed /whole thing done in under an hour-lightning fast. Lee and Randal didnt say much but still super nice, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended and 5 gold stars!!! read more

Had a clog in one of the bathroom, we hired Cj plumbing because it is one of the plumbers the manager knows. First a junior plumber came out, he snaked under the sink, pushing the clog further. Next day when there are people living there the same clog happened again. They did not give warranty for their work, so we had to pay them again for another cj plumber to come out to fix the same problem(HUGE MISTAKE!) This time the new plumber was rushing, rude, unprofessional, very annoying. He absolutely had no idea what he was going, he cut opens our walls, snaked the clog but since he did not have a camera with him(unprofessional) he just again pushed the clog further. I believe it was $150 an hour? And the plumber spent one hour for buying tapes because he didn't have them with him. The day he left, the same clog happened again! Then we realized CJ plumbing did not fix the problem. We wasted so much time and money on CJ plumbing and they made the situation worse. We had to call another legit plumbing company(with a camera) to come out and finally fixed the issue. See attached pictures what the CJ plumber left at our bathroom. The Resident Manager informed me that my unit was leaking into the neighbors downstairs. I called CJ Plumbing after reading the great reviews and confirming A+ status with BBB. CJ Plumbing was quick to investigate and recommend a solution. The part I needed was out of stock and would take several weeks to come in. I called around to other plumbers but it would cost me more money so I waited. Upon receiving the part, CJ Plumbing installed it the very next day. I emailed CJ Plumbing around 8 AM-ish this morning and described to them the problem I was having with my bath tub draining really slow, almost it becoming standing water. (Yeah, I had to ask favor from friends to take a shower at their house.) By 9AM, Tim was already calling to touch base and to get more information. Long story short, they had open availability today and the team that specializes in the issue I have was scheduled. Michael and Nano are the heroes of the day! They worked quickly and got out whatever was causing the slow drain (yo, it was a lot of hair and the plastic cover of a shaver! ). CJ Plumbing absolute best! I would give 10 stars if I could. They quickly respond, are fast, efficient, organized, full of integrity, fair in their pricing, and easy to work with. They care about the customer. Twice they've come to my rescue. May 29, 2021, Tim came even tho it was a Saturday (CJ's closed) with wife and dau in the car! He took the time to test both toilets and water meter readings, isolated it was washlet part, not leaking toilet, nor big underground leak, unlike Emergency Plumbing Service EPS (pink trucks) who had just left after showing up 3 hrs late and charging me $293 just to get me on emergency appt schedule to "Investigate" leak. Only because of CJs and Tim I realized what EPS had done to this worried senior female... and that I didn't need my driveway dug up. CJs sent me written estimate straightaway, picked up the small parts fr TOTO and fixed all by the next week. They were also amenable to my request to fix slow draining sinks and upgrade a faucet for me at the same time. All of this for less than EPS charged to do nothing. After months watching water bill increase fr 2000 to 16000 gallons, I assumed underground leak just like two adjacent neighbors who paid nearly $20,000 EACH to Steve's (green trucks). I cried after plumber Simao fixed everything for me in an hour. Second, in July 2023, a pipe in my yard burst late Friday, gushing water everywhere. Although fully booked next day the awesome office gal Vicky got Simao to wedge me in early morning between his other appts. She knew I'd be without water all weekend. Simao assessed and fixed all within an hour. Everyone I've come in contact w at Cjs, esp Tim, Simao, Vicky (love her!) and Kelly in the office are heads and shoulders over anyone I've called for help. I'm thinking this must be a Christian company....kind, caring and respectful. I've told all my friends and family. read more

These guys are AWESOME. It can be tough to find reliable vendors on the island, but Tim answered the phone EVERY TIME I called which is worth gold. Everyone that came to the condo was professional, courteous, and worked hard. THEY QUOTED ME A PRICE AND STUCK TO IT. I live in a gated condo complex on the 6th floor with fobs to get anywhere and when I wasn't on island they would work with the manager and security to get there on specific dates and times when they where was water shutoff... just awesome. My shower upstairs didn't have water pressure. One of their plumbers said he was 100% sure I needed to replace the water heater so I replaced it myself. Issue not solved. Another one of their plumbers comes and then says it's the hot water stem so I replaced that, problem persists. I ask for someone who knows what they're talking about to come so they send the owner, who says it's the valve stem and quotes me $400 because they have to solder. I take a look after he leaves and it's a simple valve that twists out with a socket wrench. Lied right to my face! I hate this company. They are the plumbers you are scared are out to lie to you and rip you off, especially the owner. Stay away. read more

A month ago, I detected water on my bedroom carpet. CJ Plumbing came out and determined there was a cracked common sewer pipe (after making 2 unnecessary holes in the drywall in my bathroom) that needed to be replaced to stop the leak. CJ Plumbing informed me I would be without a shower from 4-6 weeks, but they would be able to help install a new one. CJ Plumbing then talked with our Property Manager to schedule the work a few days later since it was a Condo Association common pipe with a needed Water shutdown. That evening when I thought about the whole experience with CJ Plumbing that was very dubious at best, I decided to discuss it with our Property Manager the next morning. A real red flag, was CJ Plumbing also saying they would need to remove a custom mirror above my bathroom sink to replace pipes, so they wouldn't have to come back later? The Property Manager shared my concerns and we obtained a second opinion, which was very different from CJ Plumbing. We cancelled the scheduled work with CJ Plumbing. I waited a month before posting anything on Yelp to be certain that there was no leak from the Common Pipe and that the water damage to my carpet, was in fact from my Air Conditioner that was not installed properly. To be very clear, there was no leak to the common pipe and it had never been a plumbing issue, as diagnosed by CJ Plumbing. CJ Plumbing, for whatever reason, decided to scam, not only me, but our Condo Association. CJ Plumbing has mixed Yelp reviews. As an Elite Yelper for 6 years, I take pride in being honest & objective. Please consider my review, a cautionary warning. The one star is for the performance CJ plumbing did when they came out to diagnose the cause of my wet carpet, to their financial benefit. I'm a Senior citizen, so it's especially disconcerting and disappointing when something like this happens. I think it's very telling, that when our Property Manager cancelled the scheduled work as well as an earlier contracted building plumbing job for our Condo Building, there was no response or apology from CJ Plumbing. read more

This company is definitely hit or miss and the reviews basically say the same. First off they repaired the wrong unit and we thought, "ok, mistakes are made, however we failed to go look at the work that was done (our mistake)." When they finally got around to doing the correct unit, additional work needed done, which required a proposal and a return trip at another time. Three weeks after the initial work had begun, the final work commenced and after looking at the final result, we could've sworn, they were attending plumbers trade school. Thank goodness for security footage because it looked pretty apparent that the individuals doing the work were apprentices. Never mind that they showed up looking like they're on their way to the beach for their next stop. Never knew a plumbers normal attire was rubber slippers either. Guess they missed OSHA class also or maybe never even got there yet if they're still apprentice 1 level. In trying to find out how long they stayed there, I kept missing how they left the building until I looked at one specific camera. The van driver, who I'm assuming was the journeyman, drove down to the unit and they passed over the supplies to him and then they BOTH JUMP OVER THE WOODEN FENCE to exit the unit. Say what ????? Yeah, so now I know why the lanai door was unlocked and ajar for days on end. And we got ALL THIS FOR A $700 something dollar proposal. One word..........RICO read more

I am 74 years old and disabled. I woke up to find that I had no water. C J Plumbing was working at a home in my neighborhood and gave the Board of Water Supply the wrong address. They had MY water turned off. BWS said it was my responsibility to find the plumber who did that because BWS assumed the plumber would know where he was at, and only he could authorize turning the water back on, so I had to talk with him. BWS finally found the plumber and sent him to my home and he yelled, "Ohhh Aunty.....they wenʻ turn off da water for da wrong house." As he said that, I still had no water. They do NOT care about who they have inconvenienced and they were too lazy to verify the address they were at.
