A few days later , still warm. He took it back, replaced the needed parts and charged me reasonable amount. Steve even paid for an Uber for me to ride home while the work was done. What a gentleman! No doubt that work they found needed to be done, but the guy said the tire is still an issue when he handed me the keys. I noticed that every time I break now the steering wheel starts to shake back and forth on its own which didn't happen until after the repairs. Kind of scratching my head thinking did I pay for every problem except the one that I wanted to fix and did I inherit a new problem as a result? MOOG sway bar links that are on the manufacturers website for $36-$50 per bar and on Amazon for $30 per bar for the exact manufacturer MOOG model number , He looks me dead in my face and proceeds to tell me he is charging $100 per bar. I don't want to even imagine what he was charging me per axle and struts, I then ask him if I buy the parts that he is going to buy, can I bring them in and he repairs the car he proceeds to tell me "no they put on quality parts Not over-the-counter" so because I would like to save $400-$600 on parts and buy the same exact parts from the manufacturers website and bring them into you they are not " Quality parts". They advertise "price match " but not once did he say if I found The exact same parts and manufacturer for a lower price would he match the price, they think because they advertise in the shop they are a "dealer alternative shop" that they can charge you an arm and a leg on aftermarket parts . It's crazy how I read the the reviews and one guy says he paid for your "premium parts" and he said they parts did not hold up to the "premium status " so do you really buy "quality " or "premium " parts as you say?????? He was not the only one fooled by that line. I came to this auto shop after I've read good reviews. My car was making a loud rumbling sound in…read morethe morning when I first start it. The owner advised to leave the car overnight so he could check it when it starts first time. I left the car and next day he called me and said there was nothing wrong but because the engine was old, the oil rising up would make the rumbling sound and nothing had to be done. I took my car to A1 Japanese Autocare and the problem was found with the engine mounts that had to be replaced. Once it was done, no more rumbling sound. I suspect the AMA autoshop never examined my car. I wasted my time, paid for the Uber and was obviously lied to. Go figure.... may be this shop is like a gambling : you may get good service or you may get bad service, take your chances.
