When you think of a mortgage broker's role for purchasing a home, you want at minimum that the broker: 1. Keep you informed 2. Follow up promptly 3. Set a clear expectation of the process 4. Keep Escrow apprised of the timeline to funding. I'm not going to waste time explaining how Mike and Hallie absolutely nail all these objectives and exceed expectations (because they did). What I do feel is important when selecting a mortgage broker is having the confidence that you have an advocate in a very stressful situation (Escrow). Mike and Hallie truly are advocates for the buyers. Escrow is an emotional experience from start to finish. There are always loose end to be tied, documents to be signed, disclosures to be reviewed. What sets Mike apart is that no matter how stressful Escrow can be, I NEVER had to worry about him getting his job done. Mike and Hallie always have your back. I work in Real Estate and I've seen what a terrible lender and broker can do to the buyer. They are slow to respond, vague about the process and can go absolutely dark on Escrow. Mike and Hallie have their process down to a science.
