In fact, it created more work for him, back/forth emails, calls, and took more of his time. I flew Pittsburgh, the used vehicle was exactly as described & BETTER. The staff operate like family, not as "independent" sales agents. Work as a team. Lenny had customer(s), so another agent got started so I did not have to wait. I am a social worker and it is my job to help others. Rarely do others reciprocate that. Lenny helped me in a BIG way, and I can't say enough how great my experience was. The prices are more than fair, offer warranty, aren't "sales" like environment (hate traditional car salesmen - NOT vibe here), no BS overselling, what you see online matches what is on the lot, no hidden fees.

The battery issue is the hybrid battery which costs about $3,000 to repair. I called to see what they were willing to do to help me out and Jess was utterly ignorant. For the past several years I have relied on Buds Auto Sales in Shelocta for their excellent…read morecustomer service and reasonably priced vehicles. I returned again this weekend expecting for the same to occur. Unfortunately, my past experience failed to meet the mark for what I have become accustomed to. My last vehicle had recently been totaled in a collision leaving me with a negative equity on my auto loan. I reviewed this with my salesman, Dan, at least three separate occasions prior to purchasing my vehicle. I was assured this would not be an issue. When the moment came to sign for the vehicle, I learned that it was not feasible for the negative equity to be rolled onto the new loan and that I would need to pay the balance in full (a sum off $1000+) as Bud's in Shelocta would not accommodate this situation. I was disheartened to learn this, but trusted that Dan and the finance manager, Jim, were competent in their advice. However, instead of fixing the problem they just flat out lied. As I returned home, I called back to question why this was so. I spoke to the owner of Buds Auto Sales. He tried to make things right with the situation, but failed to miss the mark of my original promise. I contacted Dan the next day after being unable to reach him the day of purchase. He, to my surprise, informed me that he was not aware of the situation of the total loss and negative equity and that there was no way to remedy the situation, which again was a lie. I would not be leaving such a negative review had I not been lead on to believe that they could accommodate my situation and they had been upfront with me from the start. I hate when anyone tries to make me out to look like a fool or a liar. The Shelocta location has lost all respect from me at this point. I will not tolerate being disrespected from anyone especially the way Dan from Shelocta did. Here is an idea, maybe when you make a mistake consider being a stand-up guy and admit to your mistakes or do your job correctly so that things don't happen like this for future customers. Also, instead of rushing through the sell, just hurry up and sign mindset. maybe the financial manager should know his stuff and not check with a untrustworthy car salesman. We are all human we all make mistakes but own your mistakes and treat your customers with respect that is what will keep the customers coming back.

Mini of Pittsburgh used to have excellent service: both sales and service. We've bought 2 cars from…read morethem and for 13 years service was stellar. They contacted us when service was due, the people knew us and are car and when we picked it up it was cleaned and always worked perfectly. But then they grew. And the grew and everything changed. Notifications for service stopped arriving, people left and now when we drop our car off, we see a new person each time who asks "what would you like done to your car?" Now WE must tell THEM what we'd like done--expertise has been delegated to us to decide. Today, when trying to schedule a service the person on the phone took umbrage at my complaint about service and simply hung up on me. Needless to say, we won't be buying another car from this company. When growth causes a decline in service, customers of almost 20 years like us, will leave. Unless Pittsburgh becomes a much larger city, eventually that is bound to adversely affect business.
