Only con is that the studio can be crammed between classes, so there isn't a ton of space to change into cycling shoes - luckily everyone who rides there has friendly!

She brought incredible energy to the class, kept everyone motivated, and put together a fantastic playlist that made the workout even more fun. Revocycle offers the best spinning experience in Portland...there are two reasons behind such a…read morebold endorsement: 1. free-wheel bicycles - unlike most spin bicycles, when you stop pedaling, your feet stay put and the wheel continues to spin. As a result of this technology the work-out is much more complete. You need to push hard throughout each pedal just like you are riding a road bike. 2. the class is focused on the mind-body experience. Instructors encourage you to check in with your body, get proper posture and alignment and find your cycling groove. That said, DAMN. I definitely don't feel that way in this spin class! The workouts are flexible for any level, and I can honestly say I sweat way more here than I ever do on the elliptical. Plus, I burn more calories in 45 minutes of spin than I do in an hour on the elliptical! The music's fun, the vibe is energizing, and they sneak in just enough arm work to keep it interesting. I didn't realize how much that mattered until I stepped on the scale and saw I'd lost five pounds (which is more weight loss in one month than in the 3 months previous!) Every instructor I've had has done a great job of making class easy to follow, challenging, and high-energy (and they're super friendly! I don't think I've had a single class where the instructor didn't take a second to say hi!) That said, a few tips! I went with the Black Star membership which is perfect for my needs. That said, I haven't had any problems getting into a class, so it's def worth waiting a little bit closer to class time before hitting the RSVP button!
