First time customer and first time ever purchasing a real tree. The whole process was a straightforward and stress-free experience. No need to drive to a tree lot and lug it on top of your car with possibility of damaging your car roof! On their website you have many (not overwhelming) options from the type of tree, the height, tree stand, tree mat, delivery time, tree setup, optional tree removal, etc. The prices are reasonable. The delivery crew is very communicable with eta. The crew also cleans up any tree debris if necessary. We love our tree very much. It is wonderfully symmetrical, the branches have opened up nicely, and it gives off a subtle scent. We'll definitely use City Tree again. read more

Very rude, unprofessional and disorganized. Didn't even get far enough with the Karen taking calls to place an order.

We have ordered our trees from City Tree Delivery for the last several years. The trees are always so fresh, perfectly shaped and the delivery teams are professional! They set up the tree and tidy up before they leave. I'm a customer for life! read more

Absolutely AMAZING! There aren't enough compliments I could write! Not only was the customer service above and beyond but when I ordered my first tree before Thanksgiving ( with being warned it might not last until Christmas, so my fault) but in less than 24 hrs I had a new tree up free of charge! Both trees were beautiful and it was the first real tree I'd ever gotten and will always go to these guys from now on! Hands down the best and the tree with the customer service, you can tell they want you to have a great tree for the holidays. Thank you so much! -Shannon read more

Hosted our family for Christmas for the first time and this worked perfectly. They were able to deliver the tree, tree-stand and lights and then take them all back a few weeks later. The only item we had to buy was the tree mat, which wasn't strictly necessary since the tree-stand does a good job of keeping water off your floor and you need to sweep up every now and then no matter what. The tree is stored wrapped up so it looks sad at first but opens up over the next 48 hours and looks great. The delivery and pick-ups were both professional, masked, and on-time. We got a 6-7ft tree with 3 pairs of lights, which worked well. Next year, we'd like 1 foot bigger. read more

Would I recommend this place? 1000%! I have been using City Tree Delivery for over 3 years ever since I moved into a condo and the thought of bringing a tree up the back stairs just gave me nightmares. City Tree is punctual, prompt and prepared. Your tree arrives and is brought to the exact spot that you choose. It is put in the stand you provide and they water the tree for you before they leave and give you instructions on how to care for your tree. The best bit - they clean up after they install your tree. Not a pine needle in sight. We also use City Tree to dispose of our tree. So you pick a date that you want them to come and pick your tree up and they take it and again clean up after themselves. Perfect and the staff they use are so polite and sweet. They call you or text you before they arrive to give you ample notice and are always so cheerful and helpful. Give this place a try for sure! read more

No issues. Easy ordering, easy delivery, all around professional. We use them every year without hesitation.

This business had Great Service and set up. They had Very Green and fresh trees. Nice delivery guys.

My husband and I have had a real tree for over 40 years. We are finding it harder to bring one home and get it in the stand. Then I heard about City Tree Delivery. Though expensive, it is worth it. I ordered a tree on-line, requested a date from the dates they are delivering in my neighborhood, and our experience was great. The tree was PERFECT. The right size and had no bad areas. We usually look for the side of the tree that isn't as nice to put toward the window. This tree was absolutely perfect so it didn't matter. The two men who delivered it knew exactly how to get it in the stand and test for balance/firmness. They were even willing to water it, but I had water ready. read more

My partner and I both grew up going to Christmas tree farms to pick out fresh trees with our families, and missing out on that experience was hard once we got married and moved to Chicago. We couldn't reasonably get a fresh tree to our apartment, and so we settled for a lousy fake tree for a couple Christmases-- then I discovered City Tree Delivery. What a game changer! It is so nice to not have to figure out how we're going to get a tree through the lobby of our apartment building and all the way up the stairs. This is the second year we've ordered from City Tree, and both times we've had the kindest young men deliver and set up our trees-- they will even give it its first watering! Cannot recommend this company enough. As long as we live in the city, we will be ordering from City Tree Delivery-- they help make Christmas magic happen! read more

Getting a real Christmas tree started to become a hassle so it has been 3 years since I had a real Christmas tree. Since I refuse to get a fake tree, we actually had the kids draw a Christmas tree on a whiteboard last year lol. In a local FB group, someone asked for recommendations for a tree delivery service and multiple people recommended city tree. This was the best decision ever. Picked out the 7/8 ft balsam with setup. Quick service and the delivery crew were nice and professional. This was well worth it. This is the only way we will get our tree in the future. read more

This is my second year using city tree. This year, I had an issue with my tree, and I called the company pretty disappointed. Frankly, i was in tears. This is a pretty tough holiday for all of us, and Im on crutches this year, so having a tree was super important to me and mine was not cooperating. The company called me back within 30 minutes on a friday night, asked how they could fix the problem, and had it fixed within 1.5 hours. They also gave me a partial refund to help replace any damages. This is how you build client loyalty. They stand behind their products and it shows. I will continue to patronize this business as long as I live in chicago. read more

City Tree Delivery - Christmas Trees Near Me

Yes, I know it's now the new year and many are focused on getting the holiday tree DOWN but--word--you should bookmark this company for 2010's holiday season. This is the first holiday in a long time that I felt motivated to put up a holiday tree. Usually, by the time it takes me to agonize over plastic trees that may leak toxins in a landfill someday versus buying a real one from a big box retailer that isn't a good community partner, the holiday is generally long over before I've made a decision. (Plus, as you might imagine, this overwrought thought process usually strips the fun right out of it.) This year, I'd read about City Tree Delivery on Apartment Therapy and decided to peruse their web site. ~gulp~ These were not Home Depot prices...but...maybe they shouldn't be. After the sticker shock wore off, I considered the benefits of not only buying a tree from a place "dedicated to sustainability" but also having someone else to do the schlepping for me. But would they deliver to the South Side? The delivery desert? Their web site indicated that I was out of their normal boundaries. I sent an e-mail expecting to have to wait a while for a response. I received an e-mail immediately from their VP, Jeffrey. Yes, they would delivery to my hood! And they could do it immediately! Sold! Chris, the CEO and Founder, made the delivery himself. While bringing the tree in and setting it up in the stand, he happened to take a pretty big slice out of his hand. Yikes! While we bandaged him up, there was an opportunity to chat about his company philosophy and history. A pretty impressive story (which you can read more about on their web site, which explains it better than I might be able to here). They will even offer to pick up your tree post-holiday and turn it into mulch for you. How's that for eco-friendly and ultra easy tree disposal? (Yes, there's a price tag involved, though.) A great service overall! read more
