Next time we might just go for one of these restaurants. Decent choices of beer on tap, but lacking the final touch. Too many lacklustre Norwegian pilsners (we see enough of those on the mainland). Looks to be the absolute place to be if you got hyper-active kids with a thing for clowns or people in large costumes. Nice little casino with some old-school slot machines you found on Stena Saga in the early 1990s. I dug those. Very nice receptionist apologizing when the cleaning lady did not re-supply us with new towels. Cardinal sin to do that but alright. Went to Kiel for a few hours, got straight back into the ship using what I believe is a new ticket system. Worked like a charm. Here's the shocker; no wi-fi unless you pay an abysmal amount of money for it. Seriously shocking that a cruise-line can do this in 2015 and still think they can get away with it. People got their business to attend to, if not just for the odd Facebook post. I like to have the choice to go online. A big no-no for the charge. I'd go again anyway.

We had estimated that we would arrive around 11 am if we took another stop. This we estimated just before Hamburg. We arrived at 13.12 and drove 180 km per hours for the last part, we had to be on the right side lane because we kept being overtaken.The boat was not full at all and we think lots of people missed it. We had dinner at 20.00 because all other slots were full when we booked, but the restaurant seemed half empty, It would be nice of Color line to warn people for these extreme roadworks on the last 100 km to Kiel.

I booked the Scandinavian Capitals tour to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen with my mom. We are not seasoned travelers and Authentic Scandinavia handled everything to make our trip go smoothly. They were exceptionally responsive to all of my questions prior to the trip and the directions they provided ensured that we knew where we were going throughout our time in Scandinavia. We had one change with the cruise from Oslo to Copenhagen and Authentic Scandinavia made sure that it was handled and we were compensated accordingly before we even knew there was a problem. They had the hotel in Oslo print their email update and bring it to our room to ensure we received the message. I wasn't checking email during our trip so this was much appreciated. We booked Hotel Category 1 and the hotels in Stockholm and Oslo were excellent. The hotel in Copenhagen wasn't on the same level but we didn't have any major issues and the locations for all were perfect, which made it easy to see everything we wanted to in each city. I would recommend booking an extra day (or 2!) in Stockholm, as there is so much to see there and it is a beautiful place to spend a little more time. We were able to cover everything we wanted to see during the two days each we spent in Oslo and Copenhagen. I would 100% use Authentic Scandinavia for another trip and recommend them to anyone looking to plan a trip to this beautiful part of the world. I'm already thinking about my next excursion with them!

We booked via third party which price wise was great but a little bit more confusing. Leading up to the trip we were asked for booking information we were never given. After a couple emails back and forth I think we solved the problem. Once we arrived to the terminal it was easy to check in with the gate agent and then get onto the boat. Our bags were not search before getting on board and we were able to get on the boat a little early. Once on the boat there was a couple of dining options. We ate at the Italian restaurant first and little to no complains. For dinner we did the steak house and honestly it was a let down. Fairly expensive and mediocre food, I would not recommend it. I think next time we would do the buffet or the Italian restaurant again. The room was small, and slightly different than the photos but it did the job. For a quick trip we couldn't ask for much more. I think I enjoyed breakfast the most- highly recommend! If you are going to book you might as well book a nice room because it includes the breakfast. We paid about $160 for two people in a large room which felt like a good deal. There are a ton of cheaper options on the boat if you are looking for a cheaper option.

Arrived at hotel at 10:30am, we could t check in until 3pm. The room wasn't ready. They stored all our luggage for free. We walked around to all the stores for shopping. We arrived back and we were able to check in at 2pm. More to come. We are in a large room with a 3rd bed and hidden in a side is a 4th bed. Plenty of shopping and eating options around here. About 1/4 a mile is the main Oslo 4 story Mall. The central train station and about 1/2 mile there are many attractions to see. Also, a 2 story souvenir store right around the corner about 100 yards from the hotel. This hotel is fantastic! Come here and enjoy Oslo!!!! The hotel is also next to bars. The first night they were bar people being very loud and singing until 2am, hard to sleep, and we were on the 3rd floor. Buffett had a good selection to choose from.

You are literally within walking distance of many great attractions, restaurants, and shopping just outside its front entrance! Walk over or take a short ride to visit major attractions like the Royal Palace, Parliament, and Aker Brygge. It was a bit chilly when we visited in late May, however, with the brisk walking and a warm jacket we kept ourselves warm and comfortable. Accommodations: The hotel interior is stunning and exquisite in its design and decor. The rooms are suite sized and luxurious for your stay. Restaurants we dined in: During our stay, we were fortunate to experience dinner at the iconic Palmen restaurant. Entering the restaurant, your eyes are drawn to the most beautiful chandelier (see picture). The luxurious decor and expansive dining room sets the ambience for the culinary experience we were about to enjoy. The Palmen Restaurant is a renowned restaurant. The water pressure is excellent and all the storage to hang and fold clothes. The do need better hairdryers as they're old and not very powerful. The hotel is just so beautiful with an awesome rooftop and lobby bar (both have the same menu). We paid extra for the breakfast, and it was pretty solid- meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausage, lox, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries- you name it! Overall a wonderful hotel in a perfect location! We would definitely come back!
