I appreciated this company because I was in a pickle. I had locked a door that had something important I needed behind it (including the keys!) I called early in the am one morning to have a locksmith open my door, but I couldn't be home because I was on my way to work. A roommate let the locksmith in at arrival. While I appreciated the service in such a tight spot, I was really disappointed to see they had drilled a whole in my door handle bc they couldn't shimmy the lock open, traditionally. When the locksmith was done with his work, he called me over and over demanding payment before he left the house. I understand wanting to be paid but I was really busy with a patient and I told them to give me 10 minutes. He didn't. He called and called and texted. I was like FUCK Jesus christ. I paid the agreed price. Never in the conversation did the locksmith tell me he needed to drill and basically destroy my lock. They charged me full price regardless of the damage. It's tough, I appreciated the service as I did need it STAT. But I did not appreciate the lack of communication, damage to my door without notice and being charged full price. Spent over 600 dollars to key and change quite a few locks and keys. Lock doesn't even work after 4 month use. First problem started in July 2021 then second issue with the same lock started October 2021 then 3rd issue with the same lock January 2022. Now he wants to charge me $200 to fix the lock. One hour later, I got a call from City One telling me that no one would be coming. Still stranded and lost valuable time as other locksmithing places are closing for the day. Very disappointed. The guy comes and gives me the price for unlocking my door and the price for drilling it (which then you'll need a new lock). The price for unlocking it is more but I figure that's the best option since I won't need a new lock. After ten minutes he gives up and tells me he has to drill it because he has other calls. Reluctantly I agree because I felt I had no other chance. Then after drilling he still charges me the higher rate for unlocking it even though he wasn't able to unlock it. He then gives me a bad excuse stating that he tried to unlock it. I honestly felt like the guy didn't know how to unlock it. I would never use this service again and definitely will discourage others not to use them. $155 to drill my lock and now I need a new lock. Definitely not worth it. Just drill it yourself and get your own new lock. read more

We had a security door that had a jammed lock. We couldn't get it to open. These guys came and after trying to get it unstuck, they cut the lock and voila, our door opens now. Thankfully the door had two security locks so the one that was cut would not be missed. Price was on the higher end, just below $200 to cut the lock, but in all honesty, I would've paid more for the convenience of having or back door open again. read more

My experience with One City Locksmith was excellent. Prior to calling Mike, I called a few other locksmiths. They all told me, there would be a service fee for coming out, and would not give me an estimate. I was told they had to see the locks first. Well I explained to them that they were basis locks you can get at Home Depot. Still they would not give an estimate. I called Mike explained to him what I wanted; he gave me an estimate right over the phone. Told me he could be there in about 2 hours. Call shortly before the 2 hours to me to let me know he was on the way. Installed the locks, did some minor maintenance and correction, all for the price he quoted. Very easy to deal with no matter what area you're in. I asked for a quote over the phone they told me to text them an image of the lock we needed re keyed. Other companies do not make it so easy! Extremely transparent and easy to work with Mike. Had a gladlock attached to the brake line of a trailer that we lost the keys to. Reached out to mike and he was able to come out within the hour to take a look at it. Very responsive to calls/texts and after he arrived he was able to get the lock out easily without damaging the lock thus saving it. Since we did not have a key for this lock, he looked inside his inventory and found a similar key in which he was able to make us two copies for free!
