I can't believe it's taken me so long to rave about Gretel and Liz. I have a cat with SO much anxiety, he will spiral if I'm not home; however, Liz and Gretel are incredible at what they do so I felt comfortable for my kitty and myself. We are obsessive pet parents with a senior cat, a super timid cat and a crazy and combative kitten, and we could not feel better about leaving our "kids" with anyone other than Gretel and co. We've fostered cats, including our insane kitten, and Gretel has countless recommendations for improving behavior and inter-cat relationships. Long and short, Gretel is the only person who is literally ALWAYS RIGHT on cat care. She runs her business professionally, always sending timely updates (with photos and videos), spending lots of time with each cat during a visit, keeping current on schedule changes and invoicing super clearly. We are lucky to have had her associates, Leigh and Stephanie, also care for our cats -- they are also excellent and spend a ton of time working with our fur-babies. We have not always had the best experience with cat sitters. We are those crazy cat parents that will do anything for our kitties, we use our friends frequently and even then get worried. We've used some professionals in a pinch and have never felt at ease about it and have always come back feeling guilty having left our two terrors in not so capable hands. So to say we were apprehensive when we first contacted Gretel would be an understatement. That said she has fantastic reviews so we wanted to see how it would go. To say that Gretel is the best cat sitter ever would perhaps be an understatement. We had the most disastrous set of circumstances because one of our cats managed to clip the very end of her tail on a swinging door we have in our house. So the night before we left we had to take her to the vet and she got a cone on her head and meds she had to take and the end of her tail was bandaged. And we had to do this because our cat can't just leave the injured tail alone, no she wanted to groom it to death and possibly cause herself an amputation. So we last minute had to ask Gretel to stop by the same day we left to give her pain killers (which the vet said would help her stop over grooming). Gretel was AMAZING. I cannot say this enough times. She was the best. She came a day early and took the cat to the vet in the middle of the time we had her sitting for us and then because you know, one bad thing on a trip out of town isn't enough our flight got delayed coming back home so she even popped in the day we got back with only a few hours notice to check on our kitties and ensure they had food (and that evil cat had not actively destroyed her tail any further). I'm not sure our cats even noticed we left. When we got back they were happy to see us because we're their people but they really didn't notice that they had been left alone at all. Our house was impeccable (honestly I think she did a better job than we do sometimes). The cats were happy, we got tons of pictures of them while we were gone, clearly they were well fed and cared for. We basically had our first time with Gretel as possibly one of the most difficult situations that I can think of that we've ever had when we've gone out of town (and we would have canceled if we hadn't been leaving on a family emergency). I can't even imagine how happy our cats would be if it had been a normal weekend. Gretel is the best. I highly recommend her. Your cats will thank you. read more

I love city kitty. It's so great to know that I don't need to worry about my pets while I'm away.
