Let me say it was the Best Decision ever to purchase our 1st Home together in Yorba Linda, summer of 2015. My husband and I looked at Hones in other great cities, Irvine, Cypress to name a few and even looked to stay in Fullerton/Near Troy HS. We were looking literally almost 5 years. When we looked in Yorba Linda, i just knew of this city as the well known Richard Nixon Library along with it being his birthplace. Never thought I'd be raising our little humans here. It's been almost 8 years living at the Land of the Gracious Living. And loving every second of it. Watching our kids grow, meeting and going to school with other great families. The neighbors are all so friendly and even strangers that ends up being friends. Everyone is all so welcoming since we moved here and we have made other new families feel welcoming. I haven't heard any negativity from anyone that has moved to our town. It's quite a bummer reading other reviews about Yorba Linda stating it's a snobby town. I highly recommend looking into purchasing here in YL. You'll get your moneys worth for the amount of land you get. When we moved here in 2015 the town hasn't had much development as of big stores. Until In 2017 i would like to say. We finally have our own Yorba Linda Town center right next to Old Town Yorba Linda Main Street. It's a beautiful town center with our very own Regal theater. Our new Public Library is a beautiful place to visit for books & other children department programs they have to offer. The city is definitely a knit tight community. I grew up almost basically my entire like in Fullerton and I didn't feel a sense of closeness for the less than 8 years I've been here as much as I feel living in Yorba Linda. We have so many parks also. The biggest addition to one of the best parks is we recently just had our newly renovated Adventure Playground added to one of our parks. Definitely a Must visit! It's a pretty safe city to raise or begin a family here. The school ratings was definitely one of the reason why we chose to bought our 1st home here.

Two times I needed help or guidance with problems became extremely difficult as employees just will not respond to emails. Why? I have no idea. Always some lame excuse as to why. From my personal experience; the employees are very very professional, respectful, and polite, the security guards are very kind and sweet as well. They all do their best to make your appointment experience as comfortable as possible. The wait time can be daunting and if you need to grab you some food or refreshments you'd need to go through the security again so I recommend eating well prior to your appointment, so you won't get nauseous or have your stomach hurting thus it'd be causing you a bad mood and time.

Tried calling USCIS 5 or 6 times without being able to talk to a human being. Their automated system requires an existing ticket/account number, and if you don't have one, it hangs up on you after telling you to get one. Their website has a AI chatbot that is useless for actually talking to a human. My options are 1: drive 50 miles to the nearest field office to give them the mail, or 2: toss it in the trash, dust my hands off and say, "oh well". For those that are reading this and wondering why I don't just open the mail to retrieve the ticket/account number so the automated system would allow me to talk to a human... because opening someone else's mail is very illegal! Don't open anyone else's mail. It's a federal crime to do so and could result in a BIG fine and/or federal prison. Again, don't do that. Hope this helps.

A big thank you to Richard at the counter for being so friendly, helpful, and efficient. The entire process went very smoothly, and everything was completed in about 20 minutes. Starting June 12, 2026, I officially became a California Notary Public for a four-year term! A quick note for anyone visiting: parking can be a little challenging. Richard mentioned there is a free parking lot behind the building, but I wasn't sure which one he meant, so I decided not to risk it and parked elsewhere. Overall, a very smooth experience thanks to the helpful staff!

Once I received the info I needed they helped me check in, and about 5 minutes later I had the documents I came for in hand. Probably the smoothest government office I have been to, by miles!!

I got my notice for jury duty and began calling in daily to see if my group number was needed. Day…read morethree I was to report. I parked in the stadium lot P1 like the notice says. There's plenty of signs telling jurors where to park. I can't believe how many people parked in the wrong place and had to move their car. The summons has the lot address, everyone has a phone. Google it if you're not sure. I was able to check in outside online while waiting for the doors to open. A Sheriff instructed everyone to remove anything metal from their body before going through the metal detector. So many people didn't and this held up the line a bit. These are probably the same people that parked in the wrong lot. Once in the Juror room on the 3rd floor I took a Juror badge and took a seat. They had goodie bags, bottle water, coffee, and pastries since it was Jurors Appreciation Week. Before the orientation videos several judges look time from their courtroom to come to the jury assembly room to show their appreciation. Senator Umberg was also there. It was nice to see all these people. It was a slow day. Not many courtrooms needed jurors. My name wasn't called. Many of us were let go earlier than expected.

Got the golden ticket aka a jury duty summons! Had to report in person (because apparently "I have…read morereservation at Disneyland" isn't a valid excuse). Followed directions and parked in P1 for that sweet free parking with validation, small wins where we can get them. You get $15 a day if selected for jury. Checked in around 7:45am, armed with snacks and false optimism. Waited until noon only to be told I wasn't selected. Honestly? Best plot twist of the day. Walked out with my official "you did your civic duty" receipt and a 12-month pass to freedom. The courthouse café was okay. Grabbed a meat-free breakfast burrito that tasted like responsibility, edible but forgettable. Still, 4 stars for efficiency, free parking and the joy of not being picked!

The city is in a financial downhill, lots of issues in the streets and parks. If you suggest or speak up on issues that will help (professionally of course) they shut you down. If you're part time, honoring the required hours they still treat you like CRAP. It's way too old school of a culture & mindset which is why the city is where it's at. Tony Gallegos is one main prime example from parks maintenance. Too old to lead or TO adapt to multiple environments and changes. He is closed to change and changing times/dynamics. He doesn't care about your plans outside of work and he wants your whole life around a measly 19 hours a week part time job. He has a BAD attitude and is so unprofessional. If you suggest meetings, rather than mitigate an easy fix problem, they just get rid of you. They even fired a coworker with no just cause. No warnings or coaching. It's mostly a money deal since he was due for a cola raise and annual raise. There was no performance based issues. We were there for two years. Serving our community proudly since we live in the area.

It's always an interesting experience, taking a friend to his court date. I think of this as an…read moreeducational experience. For example, finding out the difference between a commissioner and a judge. Finding out that the district attorneys office may do an offer, and the public defenders office can also give an offer, and sometimes the judge or commissioner can give an offer! One may recall paying fines, and a very long line outside, those days are gone from what I've observed, even the rope barriers aren't needed for now short lines. But for today, since the person I accompanied pleaded "Not Guilty" & Extending another court date to late September.

The Engineers were helpful in guiding in the right path. The Front desk were polite, courteous and professional. Even though the process for my project took some time, it was more because I was learning the ropes and so were the contractors. In hindsight all of their asks to point. Their website and electronic systems were really awesome and to the point and accurate. We were able to request our copies of drawings and were provided promptly. They work had to provide guidance and protect the current and future residents. Again I must thank all concerned in helping me get the project completed correctly.
