We had complete access to both floors of the house, but not the attic, and the coach house. We were given three hours to do our investigation, and we had a blast. Noah and Jessica, the house docents, were awesome and answered all of our questions. PROS: * FREE Parking. Gated and safe. 14 spaces available with plenty of metered street parking. * Complete access to both floors of the house, except the attic, and both levels of the Coach house for your investigation * The House Docents, Noah and Jessica, were available before, during, and after our investigation. Helped out with questions and guidance to paranormal hotspots *There is a nice and clean bathroom on the bottom floor for our use. * We were able to use all our paranormal investigative tools during the investigation. * This Dr. Howe-Waffle House is Haunted.... Cons: * Very pricy for a 3-hour investigation. There were 10 of us at $75 a pop. * The more people you go with, the more noise pollution you will have. You constantly have to be aware of where your team is and communicate with them. Inside and outside noise travels well in the house. * Being on the corner of W. Civic Center Drive and S. Syucamore St., there is a lot of outside noise pollution from vehicular and pedestrian traffic outside. The night we investigated, it was raining, it was cool, but you definitely picked up the wet traffic outside * The upper level of the Coach house is a little cluttered, so be careful if you investigate in the dark up there We picked up multiple EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) from a little girl and a woman, Orbs, and a light anomaly in one of the bedrooms. What an awesome experience The Dr. Howe-Waffle House is Haunted, no doubt about it, and the ghosts there do have a story to tell if you listen closely enough

They often have events with special guests. When I saw Don't Tell Mom, Keith Coogan was there for a Q&A after the movie, that was fun! For Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle, the writer/director extraordinaire James Nguyen was in attendance, along with Alan Bagh, who played Ron in all three installations. They even invited the audience to get beers at the bar next door when it was over! The Frida is so unique and charming. It's outdated, but kept up nicely. It's always clean, and the A/C works great. The concession stand has all that I need, they even serve alcohol. I love that they offer Old Bay to sprinkle on your popcorn, which is always super fresh and tasty, yum! You won't be coming here to see the latest blockbuster movie, but you can definitely come here to see something you can't find anywhere else. We were there last weekend to see The History of Concrete by John Wilson, which was hilarious, and I am so glad they were showing it! The prices are super affordable and make it easy to have a cheap date night. They are a non-profit and depend on donations, so please try to give them something extra when you buy your tickets or your snacks and drinks. Everybody who works here is super friendly and passionate about what they are doing. The Frida is such a gem and I am so happy to have it so close to home!

My mother and I have been to Timeless Melodies, actually 3 of them so far! They are very well done and keep us smiling the entire way through. We learned a little, reminisced a little and even sang along a little. The speaker, Larry Maurer, is incredibly knowledgeable and keeps the event moving at a pace that keeps us all entertained and awake! Parking was a breeze, the seats in the theater were comfy with great views too. Prior to going into the theater, we strolled around the hallway exhibits and the wonderful gift shop. The gift shop has high quality and unique gifts of all kinds; jewelry, kids books, art, collectibles, and so much more! Worth taking a look around. A big thank you to Richard at the counter for being so friendly, helpful, and efficient. The entire process went very smoothly, and everything was completed in about 20 minutes. Starting June 12, 2026, I officially became a California Notary Public for a four-year term! A quick note for anyone visiting: parking can be a little challenging. Richard mentioned there is a free parking lot behind the building, but I wasn't sure which one he meant, so I decided not to risk it and parked elsewhere.
