This is a truly generous act that allows the chorus to practice and continue its operation. The Town Center Hall also puts on a Christmas Festival on December 1st each year. I attended this year's and it was very nicely run. They had free hot chocolate, kettle corn, an "ice" skating rink, and even snow machine for kids to make snow balls. They provided ample trash cans and port-o-potties. There was live music from the surrounding children's choruses around Santa Fe Springs and even a performance resident chorus, the Masters of Harmony. Overall, Santa Fe Springs does a great job connecting with the community.

The SFS city rep helps you with every question you have. They also offer a lounge for junior high and high school students to hangout. There's all kinds of activities for them to relax and hang out with friends after school. They always have a staff on floor to monitor them. That's pretty cool. Wished I had that available when I was a kid. They offer a lot of classes for resident and non-resident. I can't express how much I love this city :)

We saw a rare Gloria Swanson silent film along w a talk by a brilliant film historian. Every show opens with a little performance but we were lucky enough to see a silent film which means that the organist live scores the entire film just as it would have been done in the 20s ! Such a special experience, and a must for any fans of music, film, and LA history.

The grandkids had a great time with rides, games & prizes. There was no shortage of food trucks and we were all hungry but the lines were sooo long, that we decided we'd wait until after to eat. I wish they were more spread apart (this would be a 5 star review but everything felt too congested) Although there were plenty, we couldn't find pizza and maybe there was but we didn't see one. The band that played at the end (I wish I had caught their name) was killin' it and the firework show that followed did not disappoint! We found a spot with a great view. We all had a great time! But I'm happy to say that it looks like they have improved it greatly. The new interior design is very modern and it looks incredibly clean. The water fountains are also newer and have a water bottle filling station. Cool place, I am looking forward to coming here more often to read or study.

This library is super small but the library itself looks like it is pretty new and well maintained…read more It is part of the LA County Public Library system so even if a book or resource isn't available at this library, you can still put a hold on it and have it delivered here. Alongside borrowing physical books, having a library card here also allows you to download a bunch of ebooks and audiobooks on Libby. During my most recent visit, I came to upgrade my e library card to a physical one. It happened to be the day they had Hello Kitty library cards (which are sooo cute btw) so I ended up getting one of those! The crowds were huge due to the hype around them but I feel like the librarians here managed it very well and were super friendly. Overall, if you enjoy books and libraries, this one is worth checking out!

Absolutely stunning and yet not overwhelming sculpture garden. This garden was created in memory of…read morethe tragic airplane accident that took place over the City of Cerritos. It's beautifully landscaped and the perfect size for a quick visit if you live or work in the area. Apparently, some of the sculptures were moved here from other locations. The memorial sculpture itself is quite beautiful and moving. A peaceful place for meditation, contemplation, or just to eat lunch. Free admission.

Very disappointed in the way they address overnight parking in a family emergency. I grew up in…read moreCerritos since the 70s, my Mom still live there and now I have an emergency where I need to spend a few days watching her. Used to be able to call Sheriff Dept and give info they'd provide a temp overnight parking permit. Now they've automated with online application and I've spent 3 hours trying to obtain an overnight parking permit. It's not working due to software issues & there's no one to assist after business hours. I Called Cerritos Sheriff and they said if you get a ticket take it up with parking enforcement. You'd think in an emergency situation for parking the city would have a go to plan for it's citizens. Very Disappointed how insensitive the City of Cerritos has turned into when it comes to assisting it's citizens in emergency circumstances.

We were greeted by the giant saltwater aquarium, which my boys went bananas over. Inside of the children's area, there's a plaque that provides the tank information. Also in there are so many fun areas to read. There's a lighthouse, huge tree, dinosaur skeleton, space ship, and much more! There are also plenty of places to sit and read, both quiet and more in the thick of things. Lots of tablets as well. And friendly staff. The library also has a really nice selection of books in certain languages. I wish they had Thai, but it was nice to see representation! I also really appreciate the audio tour. I didn't listen to it this round, but the fact that it's there and that there's so much on display really makes this library special. There's a dedicated YA area that requires a school ID to get into. They also have newspapers and a really snazzy reading room! Next time, I'll use it. While they have swag and books at the book shop, there was no one volunteering there when we went, so we didn't get a chance to go inside. Oh well, that just means we'll have to come back.

The interior is modern, bright, and aesthetically pleasing, making it such a relaxing place to spend time. It's peaceful, well-maintained, and simply a great space to read, learn, and unwind. My favorite part is the children's area. The aquarium is always a hit, and I love the prehistoric theme with the dinosaur fossils and the fun ceiling design. It makes the space feel so imaginative and inviting for kids. The library is also thoughtfully laid out with dedicated areas for children, teens, magazines and publications, plus an extensive collection of books on the second floor. There are even study rooms you can reserve ahead of time, which is a great feature if you need a quiet place to work or study. Parking is convenient since it's next to the sheriff's station and shares a large parking lot, including basement parking.
