The process was very smooth and organized as employees, beginning with the uniformed security guard, provided very clear instructions on what to do. All of the employees I had contact with were very helpful and friendly. The wait in line was approximately 30 minutes, as there were 25+ people ahead of me. Once inside, I received a copy of my birth certificate within two minutes. Service was VERY efficient. The cost to receive a copy of my birth certificate was $34.00, plus a $1.75 fee for paying by debit card. Tip: There is a free parking lot to the rear of the location. Tip 2-This is one of a limited number of offices to assist you if you need a copy of your birth certificate, marriage certificate, or death certificate, as long as your incident occurred in LA County.

Santa Fe Springs does some…read moreamazing things for the community like hosting the practice venue for the Masters of Harmony chorus and putting on a Christmas festival each December 1st at Town Center Hall. However, I wanted to leave a public comment on what is perhaps a glaring oversight on either the city of Santa Fe Springs, City of Norwalk, and/or LA County's behalf. If you look at the public transit rail system for Southern California, there is a place in Santa Fe Springs/Norwalk where they should have combined the LA Metrorail Green line station at Hoxie Avenue, Norwalk with the Amtrak station on Imperial Hwy to allow people from San Diego County and Orange County to access LAX and the LA Metrorail with better ease. If you look at a map (picture uploaded to this review), the stations are 10 minutes away from each other. Given this glaring oversight, at the very least, there needs to be another Green Line station at this Amtrak station to combine the public railway systems. It's a no-brainer that would have been done decades ago in any European country.

I was originally scheduled to go in at 8:30 but because I got locked out of my apartment showed up at 9:15, in hopes that I could still take care of the ticket. They told me they could no longer see me at 8:30, but to come back at 1:30 (after lunch). Lucky for me I had the day off and live in Downey, so this worked for me. Come 1:30, and the checking-in of everybody (about 30 people/cases) and playing the rights tape took the longest. The court clerk was informative and efficient and straight to the point with everyone (without the typical rudeness that comes from county employees).
