A client decided to go for permit on a small project right when I was getting ready for my…read morevacation. With only 10 days to get this done and having had over 10 yrs of experience going through plan check, it made me worry. Most small projects they will review over the counter, but you never know since each city has their guidelines. I heard rumors about El Segundo being really picky with their projects so it made me even more worried that I wasn't going to be able to pull it through before my trip. I called the building dept. to double check on the requirements and they were pretty helpful. I stopped by the B&S and the entire process took about 15 min! Including clearance from the Fire Dept. I was really surprised with the speedy process. Needless to say the client was very pleased. Three months have passed by and the client has not yet started construction...Sigh.

I called the main Social Security phone number and was told that the earliest appointment for us…read morewas late January 2026, but that we could drop off paperwork to the physical office. We stopped in last week and the office wasn't as busy as we remembered during prior visits. The guard told us that we could drop off our packet in the box and they'd get to it sometime in the future. I was stopped for a license plate cover violation--which, honestly, I didn't even know was a thing. She told me it wasn't anything serious and that I'd just receive a verbal warning, but still asked for my license and registration and ran my information. Now, I understand procedure... I do. But there's something about being told it's minor, yet still feeling like you're being checked for something more--that part lingers. What also gave me pause was that backup showed up. And it made me wonder... if a routine traffic stop requires two officers, why not just have two officers in the car to begin with?

Officer Presgraves has been there for the family of the victim every step of the way. I met him earlier this week at the one year memorial and saw firsthand the generosity of heart he shared with the loved ones and with us. He is an angel in uniform and I am grateful for his empathy, his continued dedication to the case and his personal connection with the grieving family.

I get pulled over and see this cop come out of a driveway such a sleazy way to give tickets. I wanna know how does he pick and choose which one to pull over i am a women of hispanic decent and I really hope this is not why. But the most mest up part of this is after i received my ticket mind you i have a perfect record the cop went back to the same location to hide again. Cmon do better im sure theres bigger & serious crimes being done.
