My mom and I spent the past week shopping all over town for a new vehicle. From the moment we stepped into City Ford, the vibe was not a match for us. From boxes piled everywhere of windshield wiper fluid, BBQ's, and Pressure Washers to Car doors inside the showroom locked so we had to ask to have them unlocked, it felt akward and weird. We both commented that it felt like we walked into a late 1970's movie set for a car dealsership complete with the scheister vibe. Employees were having inappropriate conversations about getting drunk and their personal lives for our entire 2 hour visit. Everyone seemed to smoke, but please don't power puff a cigarette and then hop in a car with me or run back in and breathe on me. The layout of the tables was really weird for discussing details - absolutely no privacy and you literally felt like you were on top of other people or employees. I will say that the washrooms appeared to have just been renovated and they were quite attractive. They had a play structure for kids - a very thoughtful touch but the overall look of everything was quite dirty. Has it been cleaned recently? Not sure. We testdrove Explorers, Escapes, Flex, and Edges. The vehicles didn't end up being the right match for us so we purchased elsewhere but even if we had settled on a Ford (and I've been a Ford owner for the past 18 years), I think we would have gone elsewhere in the city. Also, the parking lot is extremely crowded and when you come in and out to test drive, the entry/exit lanes only have enough room for one vehicle so if someone else is coming in/exiting, you have to wait and take turns. This wasn't a problem for me but this may intimidate less experienced or nervous drivers. I'm sorry City Ford, but I can't say I would recommend you or want to come back. read more

CITY FORD OF EDMONTON- WASTES YOUR TIME AND FAILS TO COMMUNICATE HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY. My experience with City Ford has been nothing but frustrating. I took our Ford in on Friday July 22nd, I had to leave work early for my 1pm appointment. I called ahead at 1215 and spoke to the service department where I was told I could come in early as they were slow and the job to replace the valve would take 1-1.5 hrs. After waiting for 45 minutes (while I assumed the car was being serviced) my keys were handed back to me and I was told that they lost the part that was ordered from the States, they would have to reorder another one and I was sent home. a few hours later Michelle from the Service Department called and said they had located the part (the one that was MISSING hours earlier) and I could come back next week, I re arranged my schedule with work and my trip out of the country so that I could take the car back to City Ford on Wednesday July 27th. I brought the car in at 6:48am Again, this should have been a quick job and after 1.5 hours I asked and was told the mechanic was just now under the hood, almost 3 hours later I was once again told they couldn't take the car to be tested because the water pump needed to be replaced. Not a happy customer, I was told by Eric the mechanic in front of several other employees that the job would take 6 hrs and I would have the car back by end of day. Again I had to re arrange my work schedule and take time off to make it back to City Ford at 545. Not once during that entire day was anything communicated to me, they went ahead and replaced a belt with no communication, they charged for 9 hours of labor for the pump although I was told 6 and not one single person mentioned that they charge a minimum 9 hours. If there are minimum charges those should be properly communicated. You do not keep someone's car and make decisions without finding out consent. Timing belt was replaced, there for I was charged for additional labor hours and parts. I am thoroughly not impressed. I was told I should be glad that they fixed the car in the time that they did. My bill was over $3000. It is entirely unheard of to replace parts in car without speaking to the owner. There was absolutely zero communication, no one provided an apology, and no one seemed to care. I would never purchase a vehicle nor have mine serviced here. read more

I want to preface this by saying I have bought 3 brand new vehicles from here in the past 10 years. I also recommended them to everyone I know and know a few who did end up purchasing there. So, I was a loyal customer. Until this vehicle I just bought. I will never buy another vehicle from here and I highly recommend avoiding it. I now assume I only had good experiences because my vehicles didn't come with an issue so I didn't have to deal with the service department or management. I ordered an Expedition Limited Max, which arrived in November, when we picked it up, it had a scratch on it. Which is just the start of the issues with it. We are still dealing with this 7 months later. The first issue is a mixture of the scratch and the windshield. They sent the car to CSN Burton's to get fixed. They fixed the scratch but while transporting it they put a chip in the windshield. So they ordered a new windshield and Burton's was to install it. Only Burton's winds installer didn't show up so they transported the windshield in my car to another shop across the city without telling us. In order to transport the windshield, they unlatched the back seats where we have 2 car seats, this put my children in danger because the seats were now in an unsafe position without us knowing until we pushed down on them. In addition to that, the windshield was installed off center and they scratched the a-pillar. Then the a-pillar needed to be replaced. City Ford had all this information and we heard nothing for 4 months until WE reached out to them. In that time we got a scratch in the door from someone else who didn't leave a note. Now my brand new vehicle will NEVER be new because of all these mistakes. After finally getting our windshield centered it came back with over 10 new pits. Which no one wants to take responsibility for and are blaming us. When I know for a fact there was only 2 and now there's 12. The second issue is how our mudflaps were installed. The mudflaps were installed using hardware that started rusting immediately, this caused rust stains on the stainless components of the mudflaps. The installer also cut sizable pieces of the fender liners (3 in x 4 in) on both sides when it only required 1/4 in holes for the 2 bolts to pass through. The installation was substandard and cutting unnecessary. The third issue is how much we've missed because of these issues. My husband missed DAYS of working dealing with this because they wouldn't give us a loaner vehicle so he had to drive into the city with me to these places to drop off the car and wait for it to be ready. That's income we can't get back now. It also became a huge inconvenience with our kids activities/appointments. The fourth is the terrible customer service we feel we've received. For this whole thing to last OVER 6 months is outrageous and it still isn't dealt with as of right now (May 2023) They won't take responsibility because it's 'other shops' which is true however when you partner with shops (no matter how many), they become your responsibility. To place the blame on literally anyone else so you don't have to be accountable is unprofessional. The owner of city ford initially refused to meet with us because she felt it was being handled well even though I clearly didn't. They should want to make it right so they did eventually let me speak to the owner which still hasn't really gotten us anywhere. We have had to reach out every time. They have said they'll get back to us numerous times and never do. The most expensive vehicle I have ever bought has been the most disappointing, frustrating vehicle purchase I've ever made. A purchase that large should not make me feel more upset. It should be exciting. It should at least be flawless for one day and it never has been and never will be because of the lack of accountability and willingness to work with me. So now I will never recommend here. Since then It has ran like shit ...... we have complained multiple times they have TOLD Me to kick rocks cause my millage is at 100000 even though The new engine since The 1st time they put it in has been absolute crap!! I have tried to play nice And contact the dealership over and over now I'll be contacting news outlets..... like way to screw over someone brand new car . ..engine goes and now we geT a new engine just drives like crap coolant leaks ax doesn't work heat doesnt work..... No matter what dealership you end up at, there are horror stories. So you really have no choice but to go to as many of them as possible and form your own opinions. So when my mom's car was written off recently, that's what we did. The car that she had was 10 years old and in amazing shape. We were not holding out hope that we would find something comparable - especially after a few failed attempts elsewhere. And all we had was the money from the insurance payout. No trade in, no downpayment. Just cash in hand. We walked in to City Ford with little expectations and were introduced to Gary. He basically confirmed our fears. That we would likely not find something suitable in our budget. He did show us something else. And it was tempting. But much over budget. So we walked away. He took our contact info and asked if he could be in touch if something happened to come in. They were doing a big trade in event on the weekend, so you never know. We agreed. A couple of days went by... and we heard from him. My mom was discouraged by then and didn't really want to bother with it. He assured her that he had found the PERFECT vehicle for her. And when she said she had no way to get there to do a test drive, he offered to come to her. He was right, it was the perfect vehicle for her. He came back to pick her up and take her to the dealership later that day to do the paperwork. He has gone above and beyond to get her into this car. And I'm really glad that we ran into him! read more

Like others, after being treated like crap from Kentwood Ford - i was referred to City Ford. Just over a year ago, they helped me get out of my Go Auto junker and into a new F150. Since then, the dealership has fallen short of their "exceptional service". My sales guy has since moved on and my recent experience with the service department, has me questioning wether to stay with them or go to another Ford dealer. Since my truck hit the 80k mark, I figured I'd ask for the service promotion called "The Works". $80 for oil change/tire rotation and a few other things to include a report card on how the vehicle is doing. CITY FORD DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS PROMOTION, even though it is straight from Ford Canada! Why? Because they loose money by doing it, and right from Ford Canada ....... they are supposed to honor it especially when it relates to all things under warranty. So - how did i learn about this? My new friends at Sherwood Park Ford told me all about it and it was confirmed when i called Ford Canada, myself. read more

After getting shafted at Kentwood ford many many many times I decided it was time to try City Ford. The service staff was super helpful and got the warranty service done early. Went to go pick up my Edge and found out that I was charged $68 for an oil change that didn't need to be done (oil life at 29%), but "didn't have time" to check a back speaker that wasn't working *still under warranty* Plus, no one bothered to zero the information panel. The sad part is that I had an appointment with a very nice salesman to test drive the new 2014 Escape. I'd rather eat dirt than continue to be treated like this at Ford Dealerships. Sorry Ahmed. April 28, 2016: 09:30am my wife had a scheduled appointment with City Ford and dropped off our 2006 Ford Expedition for service. The check engine light was on and an Error Code read that cylinder 4 was misfiring (I used my own code reader to determine this and printed it out). My wife brought the print out of the error code reading and the person my wife was dealing with refused to take it and said that they had to do their own diagnostic. They also refused to listen to her (she was fully competent at explaining the issue) as she tried to explain the issue and what she wanted done, so my wife got fed up and told them to just call me (at work). 10:50am - I received a call from City Ford - the person I dealt with was the same one that my wife had left the vehicle with. They said they had to do their own diagnostic because the shop foreman and mechanic said so. Note that because they had refused to take the printout that my wife had given (they said they wouldn't keep it and gave it back to my wife), I can understand why a professional mechanic might question the exact code error because at that point it's probably just word of mouth... if it was even relayed to them... The person I was speaking with said that there was no other way to tell for sure what was wrong and that there was no option. I said that this didn't sound right to me and that I didn't understand why they couldn't just assume my diagnostic was right and do the work I was asking them to do. I said that they could replace the spark plug and coil and that if it didn't work that we could do a more thorough diagnostic from there... I felt like she was trying to pressure me to just agree with what she was saying, which I did after a couple of minutes, but more to just get out of the conversation and back to work than anything else... I felt that she was trying to upsell me and that she probably had direction to not accept people's self-diagnostics on their vehicles... To me, it should have been straight forward: a customer that comes in and says they want their coil and spark plug replaced on cylinder 4... that's what they should get done... without argument. If there are concerns that arise, then you discuss them and provide advice or guidance, you don't tell the customer what they have to do. A good service person works with you to manage expectations and deliver, to the best of their ability, a service experience that meets those expectations. By telling me what they have to do it diminished my experience to being very negative and leaves me feeling that I did not receive value for my money. At about 12:00 I received another call from City Ford - this time the person was very polite and she told me that all seven coils and plugs had to be replaced and that it would cost ~$1800 and even more if one of the plugs broke while they were trying to remove them. (which they said they are prone to do). This time she asked me what I wanted to do. I asked if the truck would run okay if just cylinder 4 was done and she put me on hold to ask the mechanic. She came back on and said that yes, it would but that "within two weeks another cylinder would be misfiring and I'd have to fix it". I asked her to proceed with just cylinder 4 and said I'd probably just sell the vehicle. (Though, now that I see how cheap it is to do myself or get a mechanic to do on the side, I'll just fix it). I had a similar issue in February of 2016 with my truck when I was getting an error code stating that cylinder 5 was misfiring. When I took the vehicle into City Ford that time they asked if I wanted them to "double-check" to make sure that a cylinder 5 misfire was in fact the issue or if I wanted them to just replace the coil and plug. I asked them to go ahead and re-diagnose it. City Ford did their diagnostic, confirmed that the issue was the coil and replaced the coil and spark plug for $499. I thought the price was high for a single spark plug and coil replacement but didn't feel overly taken advantage of. Now that I've done a bit more research however, it do feel they screwed me that time too. I can buy a new OEM coil from between $15 and $45 on RockAuto.com and a broken spark plug removal tool for $75 from them. Iridium spark plugs run around $6-$12 I could replace all eight of the coils and spark plugs in my engine myself for $250. Ford charged $500 for one cylinder ...$296.40 for labour ($156 of that is for diagnosis) plus $116.38 for a coil and $29.74 for a spark plug. I feel very frustrated about the situation and feel like I was especially screwed out of $156 for the diagnosis and think that their 1000% markup on parts is atrocious! My wife also feels slighted and that she wasn't listened to because she is a woman (even though the person she dropped the truck off to is a female)... After this experience with City Ford I will not use them again and do not recommend anyone to take their vehicle there. read more

We feel this has been the worse mistake we have ever made. EVER Shortly after buying a new truck, a message comes up over the dash, park brake malfunction service required. We take it too westlock ford and they tell us that a wire harness is damaged and it's not covered. $200 bucks. How can it be damaged? The truck has less then 1000kms on it and I only drove it back and forth from the city. I decided not to get westlock ford to fix it, i was taking it back to city ford. So we make an appointment and when we get there they tell us our truck won't be going into the shop today, but we can drop it off. No we live an hour away and I have to go to work the next day. We made an appointment! They said I know but we are really behind. We will try to get you in today. We also told them about the tunnel cover they installed. The latch on one side doesn't even touch the brackets. And we have been driving and it has popped open and slammed down. The accessories guy came out and looked at it and said ya that's not right, we will fix it. After waiting most of the day, we get a phone call, the wire harness is damaged and it looks like we hit something, we can't see how that's possible we have only been driving it back and forth from the city. They tell us there's no way this will be covered. $315 bucks. We agreed to have it fixed. When we get to the shop the bill is $450 bucks and when asked why? They had to test drive the truck. We were told everything was good to go. When we get home we realize the tunnel cover wasn't even touched. Still doesn't latch! We call the next day and were told that it's suppose to float a little. Ok but one side doesn't even touch the brackets!!! After looking at the pictures, it looked like something may have chewed the wires. Like rabbits and we all know city ford has had a problem rabbits. Not sure how we could damage a wire harness that is on top of our back diff, driving it back and forth to the city. We should have made the 5 hour drive to Northstar ford, their service is 20 times better then this joke of a dealership! And the only reason they are getting one star is because I have to select one to post my review! read more

Ok, so after spending many, many hours at different dealerships, looking at different brands of SUVs and cars, this would be the absolute last place I would revisit for any reason. It simply felt both shabby and shady. I don't like having to circumvent stained and ripped cardboard boxes in the showroom, was appalled at their lack of basic "niceties" for customers, disliked the tables crowded together (salesmen didn't even have computers to check any info), don't like listening to totally inappropriate conversations by salesmen obviously bored and indifferent to what customers could hear them say, etc etc etc. The thought of having to come back for service if I bought a vehicle makes me shudder. They truly, truly, truly need to upgrade their look, their cleanliness, their customer service, and their mannerisms. read more

We purchased a family vehicle from city ford recentaly. We called ahead letting the manager know which car we wanted and he had it warmed up and ready to test drive as soon as we got there. We really enjoyed the outstanding deals that city ford offered us. We saved $1000 for being a Cosco member. We also got an automatic starter installed for free which of course is very useful in Edmonton and we got a Sirius Satelite Radio six month trial already installed. All in all, the service was completely spectacular and I am still very pleased with our purchase and dealer choice. read more

Easily the worst experience I've had anywhere in my life. I bought a 2020 Escape in July. It starts off with me trading in my 2016 fiesta for $5000, they told me that's all it was worth because it needed new tires and brakes. The fiesta was in great shape with only 44,000km on it. They then listed it for $14,000 I traded up to an Escape as I am currently now 7 months pregnant and we needed a larger vehicle to accommodate our growing family. After seeing signs posted all over the entire lot saying 0% financing I was told I was unable to receive it because the vehicle was already slightly discounted- which I'm not sure if that is true or not. 5 days after driving my escape off the lot I was driving on the highway and tried to pass a vehicle when "low oil pressure" warning popped up and cut all acceleration and kicked me in to low power mode. At that point I had to brake and pull back into my lane to narrowly avoid getting hit by oncoming traffic. After I had pulled over and turned the vehicle off and back on the warning was gone. We got home safe and I brought the vehicle in for repairs to city ford that week. They were unable to offer me shuttle service as the south side of Edmonton was "too far". I was also not offered a loaner vehicle despite me only having the vehicle for about a week. They called that afternoon asking to keep the vehicle overnight and I had to call the sales associate and ask to be given a loaner while the repairs were completed. They replaced the oil pressure sensor which makes me believe they did not even test drive the vehicle a) beforehand to figure out the issue and b) afterwards to make sure it was safe to drive. I picked up the vehicle as they called and said it was fixed - on the drive home I had the exact same issue. I called the dealership several times trying to speak to a manager, sent the guy who sold me the car several texts all of which were ignored. When I finally spoke to a manager they didn't give two shits that I had been sold a faulty vehicle and told me to take it up with the manufacturer. I had then decided to switch dealerships for the repair of my vehicle as city ford had no interest in helping me. My vehicle has been deemed unsafe to drive which I feel was extremely negligent on city fords behalf to give me back a vehicle in that state. It has been at another lot for 17 days as the parts they *think* they need to fix it are only from the US and out of stock. So now I am 7 months pregnant - without my vehicle or any kind of ETA on when it will be fixed. I will be reporting this to AMVIC and CAMVAP next week and could not be more unimpressed with city ford. DO NOT BUY FROM CITY FORD. read more

City Ford Never ever go there again to buy a car or get service work done. They booked me into warranty work only to tell me when I arrived taht their shuttle would not go as far as my work (24 - 76 Ave). Next appointment, I had to arrange for a loaner myself and was told after the work, that the car mught be acting worse for the next 2 weeks, but then it should be better. How stupid is that. Also they are telling me that my broken lid for the coolant is not broken, it comes that way. City Ford's service manager is one of thoese guys that think women should not be allowed to drive. read more

My wife and I went to City Ford because of all the great ads, advertising many things including paying off credit cards. We chose a new Escape, we were trading in our current vehicle. The salesman wrote up a deal, including the cash back, it was going to be a little more than what we are currently paying. The salesman, wrote the deal up, took us to a finance manager, who assured us "everything looks good" and we went our way, expecting to come in to sign the deal after the week-end. The salesman didn't call us when he said he would. I got in touch with him, told him we could come in on Friday, he said he was not working Friday and to come in Saturday or Sunday, to 'sign the deal.' I went in Friday to pick up something from our trade-in and our salesman was there, in his suite, working. After he told me he was definitely not working Friday. We agreed to meet Sunday at 11 am, as we both have to sign the deal. We came in Sunday morning as agreed, and were told he was not working. They called him, he came in wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and had a deal, not for the car we wanted, but for a used Explorer, with 44,600Km on a one year old car. I looked it over and found it had been in an accident. They had this deal already approved for us, with no cash back. Something we had told him repeatedly, would be a deal-breaker. After much discussion and overhearing other salesmen expressing anger that a deal was approved without consulting, us, the buyers. We have taken the used Explorer home to make a decision. We feel lied to and manipulated. read more

I purchased a used truck a number of weeks ago from this dealership. Salesman Matt very helpful, found what I wanted very quickly. For the most part he is very genuine and sincere, lest one exception. The sales info on the wind-shield was wrong. He took it and returned, claimed I was a lucky guy, as the manager had just reduced it by $4000, which was a lie. I paid the exact price they were asking for this truck on line, lol. I have to say that everything went through quicker than I have ever experienced, including the sitting with the finance guy. I've never purchased a vehicle before that fast. Matt also through in floor mats for nothing, though I don't know if they actually are the correct mats for my truck. He also through in a patio set without an umbrella, which I had to return to pick up later. I do have concerns with this dealership though. I was only given one key. I had to order a spare on-line and get it cut and programmed at my expense. I don't think that is right. Also, they sold me a vehicle with has a slow air leak in one tire. When I took it for a test drive the salesman told me the sensor is fussy when the weather is cooler, yet he put air in the tire and said that it was good to go. That's not right either. read more

My wife and I went to City Ford after looking at vehicles at two other dealers. We were impressed! We purchased a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL - which had about 30K kilometers on it. The car is clean, sound, very nice to drive and beautiful to behold. The sales staff - Leo, who has since accepted a management position at a local Hyundai dealer - and Brad T., who is looking after us now, both treated us with courtesy and respect and addressed every concern we had immediately and without hesitation. Used car sales manager Richard F. was also very helpful and instrumental in having a new windshield installed (there was one minor ding in the window) in the vehicle - he also added a remote starter and a block heater and had the company mechanics make certain that the alignment and wheel balancing was all in order. He also threw in a couple of Bubbles car wash tickets and filled the vehicle with gas before we took it home. Richard also referred me to Gate Avenue Service in St. Albert for winter tires - which I received at a price that was $380 to $560 less than any of the other four locations where we got estimates. We took the car in for the windshield, starter, and block heater and were given a loaner car to use while the car was being serviced. The price of our Fusion was fair, the service was excellent and the staff very friendly and happy to answer our questions and address our concerns. I have never felt so degraded by a person as much as I did tonight by the so called manager of this place I come back with a car that I have had to have serviced 7 times now for major things the car is 3 years old 46000km that this dealership sold to me to say I'm upset is an understatement and to have a manger talk to me they way this man did when I am upset is disgusting this man raised his voice at me on several occasions and just shoved me off because I'm upset to tell me that you can't do much because I didn't bring the car back to your establishment for it to be serviced is bullshit I can choose take to my vehicle to any ford dealership I please I shouldn't have to contact Ford Canada you should be doing that for me as the customer to use the excuse that you didn't manufacture the car is a joke as well I will never go back to this dealership and I will tell anyone and everyone to avoid this place at all costs read more

Fail. I should just leave it at that. But no this is the worst dealership in Edmonton. I will be honest I dealt with them for money reasons. They will get you a car maybe at 12% intrest. I got no spare tire, only 1 set of keys. They did warranty work then billed me. They did knock half off but it should not have been billed at all. Salesmen are all overly pushy and all the gimmicks are over the top. The car is only worth 12 dont mark it as 16 then "match" my deposit of 2 and tell me 12 is a deal. They get 2 stars ONLY because yea they are helpful if you really need a truck and no one else will do it read more

Most disgusting business ethics out there. I went to see and test drive a vehicle, under high pressure sales, I ended up purchasing it. I had buyers remorse the next day and called the dealership. My husband left to go out of town and I was dealing with this matter alone. I was 22 years old with a small baby at the time. The salesmen I spoke threatened me with several thousand dollars in legal action if I returned the vehicle. Ended up keeping it. They are pitiful. Now two years later they are denying me work that should be covered under warranty. How do they sleep at night? read more

Just purchased a Vehicle from City Ford and for our second vehicle I will go to Chev. The salesman we had was extremely condescending and insulting to myself and as a woman this does not go over well. To receive everything our salesman promised took 5 trips. This was my second time buying a car from a dealership, my first time buying a brand new one. Buying cars is supposed to be fun and exciting but this experience has been quite the opposite. Signed the papers by myself (which I feel extremely disappointed in myself for letting myself get taken advantage of) and naive. Everything was rushed, and the questions I did ask about basic things is just that, I had to ask. For any woman looking to buy a car I highly suggest you bring your spouse or someone who knows salespeople well with you. It's a nice SUV and I am happy with it, however I am feeling extremely disappointed with my experience at this dealership and with myself. When it's time for a new vehicle, I will NOT be going here. Do your research and bring someone else with you Always, it's so easy to get caught up and overwhelmed in the process. I should have asked more questions before signing my name. I have dealt with City Ford for well over a decade but this time I was taken to the cleaners like never before! First - after always leasing vehicles because of the tax advantage in my profession - the salesman - whom I also dealt with for years, told me Ford was getting out of the leasing business (a complete lie). I purchased a 2011 bare bones Fusion, 6% interest financed over 84 months...means I am almost paying twice the actual value of the car through their banker TD. I said I was interested in a new car when my lease was up on my old one but ya they made the last least payment and when I went to return my lease there was my brand sopankin new Fusion already to go in the showroom and all I needed to do was sign the paperwork. Subtle but very high pressure sales tactics! Stay away from this dealership is my recommendation! read more

Well I went in to AMVIC (Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Standards)and was advised that the document i signed before i went into the finance office was an incomplete bill of sale. Also that without handing my banking info over and signing loan documents I still had ownership of the lean on my car and they could not have legally sold it. I clarified this with the scotia bank loan department and the ford motor company credit branch. I was advised it takes at least a week for the loan to clear even if i did sign and can recind the deal. AMVIC was willing to open a claim on my behalf but could not do it with out the copies of the paperwork and proper bill of sale(dealership refused to give me any copies of legal documents). Keep in mind this is two days later and they are still in possession of my car and telling me i owned the truck and could drive it with dealer plates even though i made it VERY clear I did not want to buy it before any financing was even approved. my friend a finance major came to the delaership with me and we still had to argue with the salesman and used sales manager for 20 minutes demanding for copies of the papers as per my legal right _adding in that we needed them for AMVIC. The snake sat there and still tried to sell me avehicle, even offering to get me a new onefor the same price or only a bit more!!!finally he brings the papers back. My friend takes one look at it and says "this is just a credit agreement" .He turns his heels out and says i'll have your car here in an hour bring the truck back. Turns out I was right all along. I legally owned my car the whole time and was simply test driving the truck.I never actually signed any loan document or gave them my banking info.The whole scheme was them just pushing me to think it was too late to back out and trying to trick me into signing one last form.they even tried to say that it was illegal to back out of my so called "contract" which is bs because the banks have cold feet clauses.they were literally bulling me into it. if they treated me like this before i even legally bought a vehicle or traded in my car...imagine what they will do to an actual customer who has a problem.he even tried telling me i had wasted his time!!!! Happy a got out of this mess before it went any further. oh ya and on that credit agrreement the price of the vehicle jumped up in the small print from 31,999- 43,000....did they actually think i would agree to that when i went to sign? The police had originally instructed me to wait on scene for an officer to show up and make sure i got my documents and car back on the first day. We are very happy with our purchase of a 2014 Edge from City Ford. Our salesperson, Steven, kept us informed of the progress of our car through the factory and on the rails to Edmonton. Even though we had already signed the deal, they didn't hesitate to reduce the price close to that listed on a similar vehicle advertised as a loss leader at another dealership. A courtesy car, with a full tank of fuel, was provided while we waited on the delivery of ours (we managed to sell our "trade-in" vehicle very quickly). A problem we had with the Navigation system was quickly resolved and, again, a courtesy car was provided. To date, our experience with the City Ford Team has been great and we would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. read more
