Great Mexican food! The food is always fresh, has great flavor, and is the perfect portion size. I…read moregot one shrimp taco to try it, and it was really good! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and there was a (what seemed to be) mayo based sauce inside. The slaw was nice, though if it was a bit sweeter it may have been even better. The nachos are my go-to. The Guac and sour cream on top is my favorite part and it's always super fresh. The staff are always super friendly and service is fast! It's a seat-yourself order at the counter type of place. Nice covered outdoor seating

As someone who is very familiar with Mexican food from Border states as well as Tex-Mex I can…read moresafely say that Indio is unique and not in a bad way but in its own special way. I have ordered via the drive-through, in person, online and by phone. Each time the customer service was up to standard. (Props for dealing with college kids all day and still being professional even at the end of the day) I've only ordered one thing and it's been so good that I keep coming back for it. The chimichanga platter. Me Gusta la chimichanga, la Comida es Muy Bien. With a drive-through on both sides, outdoor covered outdoor seating arrangements. The building is fitting for a Mexican joint you would encounter say in LA. The bang for your buck is my favorite part. I get a very heavy plate with tasty food. A bag of freshly made in house corn chips and salsa! Just don't forget to grab the packaged salsa Verde y Rojo on your way out In terms of Mexican food in Gainesville. At the time of me writing this review there is no other Mexican restaurant that gives you as much food for the same price. (La Tienda yes I'm talking to you ) This restaurant is a cornerstone of GNV and all residents should try it at least once.

Entering, the place is nice... simple counter service location with seating both inside and out, though the outside seating is pretty close to Archer Road, so not that great. Too much noise from the road to really be enjoyable, sadly. I went for a slider with fries... just wanted to get a taste and not eat too much. The heat level was fair, and for the most part the sandwich was tasty. The fries were also good crinkle cuts. The only complaint I have was that the sandwich could have used some more coleslaw. This is a small national chain, so I do expect quality and customer service to be on par with the rest of the chains, and that is what I got. The product is fair, but nothing really excellent about it. I know of locally owned places that I would rather go to, but I suppose that if I were running around on Archer road and had a hankering for a hot chicken sandwich like this I would be inclined to return.

Remember, Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill - Not Just Chicken! During this visit, I went for the specials (not on the regular menu). You've got to check the written board. I got: Tostones Rellenos: Green plantains, stuffed with chicken and cheese, then drizzled in avocado sauce. Every bite was packed. Churrasco Bowl: similar to the carne asada/steak bowl but upgraded with fresh chimichurri sauce and sided with Latin white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. This is their second location of Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill in Gainesville--this one's over on Archer Road. It's a line-order style setup, and then you grab a booth while they bring the food out. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect the first time I walked in. I was hesitant. The staff were cool--friendly, smiling, and the service was quick. The location is clean, comfy, and bright.

Hearing that Los Pollos opened up a second location here, I decided to drop by and check it out. I really really hope they endure because the food here is just as good as the original location. The much larger space means you can come with a bigger group. Service was fast and efficient. I got the Lomo Saltaldo and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Good portion or rice and a substantial portion of beef and French fries, all tossed in a rich sauce. So if you're driving past this restaurant, drop by and give them a try. Support local and help them succeed :)
