Couch is high quality, Flexsteel, with foot rest ends extending up followed with a reclining back, and it has a separate control for headrest maneuvers. Very stylish with 4 high legs most recliners do not have. Love how firm Flexsteel is. Martin's is not overpriced like my friends told me. They have some of the same furniture as Steger's, but at much better prices. Do your homework. You will see.

However, there was a delivery fee. Our home is in Morton, Illinois, only 40 miles from the store. I feel that is close enough to not have a delivery fee added. When the couch was delivered, I asked the two technicians if they would help me move the couch we already had to the garage, which they readily agreed to. As an appreciation, I gave them a $20 tip, for the three minutes it took to move the couch. As we learned later, there was a $50 fee from Martin's for the two technicians to move the couch. Certainly, a surprise. I won't make that mistake again.

Obviously who's waiting that long for a couch you just bought so I asked to exchange it. They told me if I get a different couch I need to, "buy some rugs or something to make up for the remaining balance because I'm not getting a dollar back." I would rather go to a different store and pay double just to not go there. Oh yeah they also say it's up to their discretion to replace defective items. We look young and both times we were in casual clothes--still, we were treated professionally and politely. We came in and they gave us a quick rundown of the store (different finishes on the same piece, styles in each section), which actually saved us some time and hassle. While in the mattress section, someone came by every 10 minutes to see if we needed anything. When we didn't, they didn't push. I'd say we interacted with 5 different salespersons and all of them were helpful and unintrusive. The entire checkout process was painless and Taha, who was awesome, worked with us to find the right price. Downside: delivery is 6-8 weeks out, but it's Covid. I'll update if I'm displeased with the rest of the process. PS There was hand sanitizer and all the staff were in masks, plus they suggested social distancing. Appreciated.
