The ice coffees gave us the afternoon pep we were looking for. The owner is super knowledgeable about the little town of Red Lodge and Montana beyond. My wife and I mistakenly drove 45 minutes or so in the wrong direction , left the park thinking we would loop back to yellowstone lake and back down to the Grand Tetons.... turned into a happy accident because we had a great breakfast at the log cabin cafe. Very small menu but everything is scratch made with love. The thick cut house made hash browns are the best ever, the waitress said they soak the potatoes in a brine and you can taste the love!!. My wife ordered the french toast and it was excellent! This tiny little spot is literally a log cabin and has some nice taxidermy and all the country charm you could ask for. Location is incredible, surrounded by majestic mountain scenery.
