So now I have dirty, wet carpet. Check out the photos of my unit and the liquid it extracted. When I called and complained, I was told this was all "normal", I requested a refund. They called me back and said they cancelled the transaction on my card. It's nice to get the money back but I chose Chem-dry to keep excess liquid out of my carpet-too late for that now.

My complaint involves pricing: both the high cost of the service that they provided and the lack of an estimate before I made the appointment. I would not recommend the special enzyme solution for pet odor removal. Eco-Clean wouldn't tell me this beforehand, but it costs $40 per gallon (of the diluted solution), and my apartment needed thirteen gallons to get cat urine out of my carpet. I made the mistake of getting the treatment anyway, hoping that I would be getting something that previous carpet cleaners hadn't provided (for a fraction of the cost). In this case, I didn't get what I paid for. It ended up costing over $500 for an hour of carpet cleaning, including $50 I paid for the Amazon Local deal. I would've been better off just replacing the carpet at that rate. I am still communicating with the company about my dissatisfaction, and I will update this review when there is more resolution.

What you should know is that this company doesn't even do such a good job getting the stains out. They ask for a "special stain remover" for the tougher spots and charge you for each spot in addition. I have rented the Safeway carpet cleaner and did a BETTER job than this guy without the special stain remover and this isn't even my job!!! The only reason we wanted to use it for the 2nd time was because I bought 2 deals at the same time and we need to use up the 2nd one. Furthermore, the stains from the first time didn't really stay clean after 2 weeks - you can actually see it reappear from the original spots. I bought this Amazon Local deal for $89 to clean 3 rooms up to 900 sq ft. https://local.amazon.com/seattle/B0071M9FM4 in January 2012. I see that currently, they have another Amazon Local deal for the same service but it's only $50. https://local.amazon.com/seattle/B009SOSAF6 I did not try to get money back, given that I purchased my $89 deal prior to the $50 one, but Ben wanted to tax an extra $50 on TOP of my $89 deal? Makes no sense and is a bad business practice to CHANGE YOUR PRICE before telling the client until you show up LATE for an appointment. Also, once a deal is bought, you cannot say "our company is changing our model mid-way and the $50 extra charge for Seattle customers is new" and expect us to be okay with it.
